Hee-Joo walks out of the restroom in When The Phone Rings: Episode 2. She runs into Sa-Eon. She tries to flee. But he sees her. He walks to her when she conceals her bag. He drags her to the room when the guests walk to them. Sa-Eon makes Hee-Joo go against the door.
Sa-Eon asks Hee-Joo to take out her phone. He asks her if she had an accident. She admits it when she uses her phone to tell it to him. He checks her wounds and he finds the wound on her neck. He learns that the kidnapper wore a mask. He leaves the room.
He calls the bodyguard. He asks her to come to protect his wife. He calls Do-Jae. He learns that Do-Jae failed to trace the number. He asks him to look into the recorded call. Hee-Joo plays the recording at home. She laughs after she found out that she made Sa-Eon feel scared. But she remembers the guy cared for her.
She puts the kidnapper’s phone into her bag before Sa-Eon walks into her room. He tries to look for the car key from her bag. She stops him because she worries that he will find the phone. She takes out the car key from her bag. She hands over the car key to him. He leaves her room.
Sa-Eon goes to the parking lot. He opens Hee-Joo’s car with the key. Hee-Joo worries about it because she doesn’t know her husband’s goal. He opens the door and he sees the scratches on the seat. He gets in the car. She rushes out of her room and she arrives at the parking lot. He gets off the car. He wonders how did she drive the car back.
She reveals she called a tow truck. He questions her why there’s nothing in the dashcam. She feels relieved. A motorcycle rushes to Hee-Joo. Sa-Eon drags her to his side for protecting her. He hugs her. He scolds the motorcyclist.
Sa-Eon asks Hee-Joo to resign. But she rejects it. So he offers to let the bodyguard protect her. She agrees to it. But she asks him not to make it too obvious. He leaves the parking lot. He calls Do-Jae. He asks him to restore the dashcam.
Sa-Eon meets with Kyu-Jin at a restaurant. She doesn’t like her daughter-in-law because she didn’t resign. He takes his wife’s side. He points out that his father needs Hee-Joo’s family for the election. He learns that In-A knows his marriage. He suspects the lady.
Hee-Joo helps the defendant at the court. The defendant complains it to Hee-Joo that he cannot communicate with her husband. We go to Sa-Eon’s office. Do-Jae restores the dashcam. But he gets nothing. He reports it to Sa-Eon. Sa-Eon scolds his follower. Do-Jae offers to report it to police. Sa-Eon goes against it because he doesn’t want expose Hee-Joo.
The female body Jeong-Won reports to Sa-Eon that Hee-Joo completed the job at the court. He asks her to take his wife home. But she witnesses the fight of the plaintiff and the defendant. She goes to stop them. Hee-Joo is in the restroom. She hears the footsteps. It reminds her the footsteps of the kidnapper.
Jeong-Won returns to the restroom. She finds out that Hee-Joo is missing. She leads her team to look for Hee-Joo at the court. She finds the lady soon. She reports to Sa-Eon that his wife is with a man when he’s having a meeting. The man Sang-Woo hands over a drink to Hee-Joo. He apologizes to her for scaring her.
Hee-Joo was nervous to walk out of the restroom. She tried to text Jeong-Won. But Sang-Woo appeared suddenly. It startled her. Jeong-Won and her partner Hyeon-Jin keep a distance from the two. Jeong-Won watches the two when Hyeon-Jin takes photos of them.
Sa-Eon receives the photo soon. He checks the photo and he finds out that his wife smiled at the man. Jeong-Won tells Sa-Eon that the man is very handsome. Sa-Eon is furious to put his phone on the table. He texts Hyeon-Jin. He asks her not to continue to take photos. She complains it to Jeong-Won that Sa-Eon asked for the man’s appearance. But Jeong-Won falls for the man.
Hee-Joo learns that Sang-Woo is going to work with her at the station. She gives her number to him. She leaves. Hee-Joo returns home. Yeon-Hui brings the lingerie to Hee-Joo. She asks her to use the lingerie to deal with Sa-Eon. Hee-Joo goes against it. Yeon-Hui threatens Hee-Joo that she will throw her father to the street if she refuses to accept the order. Hee-Joo gives in. Because her father is her weakness.
Hee-Joo takes a bath. She wears the lingerie. She takes out the kidnapper’s phone from her drawer. She begins to fight it back for leaving the prison. Sa-Eon is in his office. He remembers his mother taught him to know the rival for winning.
The kidnapper calls him. He asks him to pay him the money. But Sa-Eon refuses to compromise. We know the kidnapper is Hee-Joo. She sends her leg photo to Sa-Eon. But he thinks the photo was faked. She’s furious to ask him to check it himself.
Hee-Joo is on the bed. She complains it to us that she tried her best to take the photo. Sa-Eon is furious to return home. He walks into Hee-Joo’s room. He removes the cover from her. He hugs her in the bed. She avoids him because she worries that he will do something to her.
He gets up from the bed. He reveals the presidential office is hiring a sign language interpreter. He tells her to apply the job. He walks out of her room. He takes out a bottle of water from the fridge. He notices the dinner table.
It flashes back. Sa-Eon returns home. He finds out that Hee-Joo cooked a table of food to wait for him. He laughs when she falls asleep on the table. She wakes up and she takes him to dance. He’s close to her. She mistakes that he’s going to kiss her. So she closes her eyes. But he’s cold to her.
We return to the present. Sa-Eon looks at the door of Hee-Joo’s room. Hee-Joo cannot sleep. She remembers Sa-Eon hugged her in the bed. She wonders why her husband didn’t check her leg.
The next day. Hee-Joo walks out of her room. She finds out that Sa-Eon is watching TV in the living room. He asks her to cook breakfast for him. She goes to make coffee. But he stops her because their stomachs are empty. He cooks breakfast for her.
He reveals he plans to hire a new guard for her. Because the guard lost her. She explains it to him that she ran into her friend. She tells him that his friend is a good guy. You-Ri walks out of the station. She tries to go through the fangirls. But the fangirls make her trip after they saw their idol.
Sang-Woo catches You-Ri so that she doesn’t fall to the ground. But his arm is burned by her hot coffee. The two have a meeting. You-Ri takes a look at Sang-Woo’s business card. She learns that he appeared on her show. She apologizes to him for burning his arm.
But he thinks the fans are a nuisance. She cannot stand it because she’s a fangirl as well. She scolds him and she asks him if he’s a fan of someone. He admits it. She gives her business card to him. She leaves.
Hee-Joo visits his father Jin-Cheol at a hospital. She walks into the ward when he’s singing with pants. She scolds him and she takes him outside with a wheelchair. He grabs her hand and he asks her not to leave because he mistakes her for her mother.
She learns that he sent her away for helping her be an anchor. She cries to complain to his father that she had a hard time because of it. Sa-Eon looks at the kidnapper’s number in his office. He remembers Hyeok-Jin told him that his wife has an affair.

Hee-Joo uses the kidnapper’s phone to call Sa-Eon. But he refuses to communicate with her. She returns home and she waits for her husband. But her husband doesn’t come home. She opens the TV and she learns that there was a fire in Sa-Eon’s office. She’s shocked because she didn’t do that.

Sa-Eon comes home injured. He approaches to Hee-Joo. He carries her to the table. He stares at her seriously. He tells her that he plans to lift her skirt when he grabs her skirt.
