Welcome to Samdal-ri: Who Is Jo Sam-Dal?
Jo Sam-Dal is a girl who comes from Jeju Island. She dreams to be a dragon and leave the island. She goes to Seoul and she becomes a famous photographer. She has many celebrity friends. It seems that everything is good. But she finds out that his boyfriend Chung-Ki cheated on her.
She’s furious to visit his office. She pours the water kimchi to his head after her niece Ha-Yul told her to do so. She expects him to apologize to her. But he doesn’t do that. She decides not to let the bad man affect her mood. She chooses to focus on her work. But her assistant Eun-Ju gives her a hard time when she works.
Eun-Ju wishes to be a superstar photographer like Sam-Dal. But Sam-Dal doesn’t give Eun-Ju the chance. She scolds her after she wore the scarf for the model. Eun-Ju finds out that Sam-Dal looks fine after her boyfriend cheated on her. Sam-Dal is also not interested in the girl who made Chung-Ki cheat on her.
It hurts Eun-Ju’s pride. Because she was the girl. She sends a love photo of her and Chung-Ki to Sam-Dal. Sam-Dal remembers she saw the girl wearing a hairpin like Eun-Ju wears when the girl kissed Chung-Ki. She realizes that Eun-Ju was the girl.
She’s shocked but she asks Eun-Ju to continue to work with her. She goes to the bar and she gets herself drunk. Ha-Yul wakes Sam-Dal up in the morning. Sam-Sal watches the TV. She finds out that Eun-Ju tried to kill herself from jumping off the bridge last night.
It makes Sam-Dal be a bad boss. The celebrities decide not to work with Sam-Dal even if they know Sam-Dal didn’t bully her assistant. Sam-Dal’s career gets ruined by Eun-Ju. She has to return to Jeju Island with her sisters. Her mother Mi-Ja is shocked after she found out that her daughters returned home.
Sam-Dal actually doesn’t have any friend in Seoul. She claims that she has many celebrity friends when she drinks at the bar. But she cannot do that when the bar owner asks her to let her friends come to his bar. She plans to hold a photo exhibition. But her friend asks her to take down her photo after she heard the rumor.
The only friends Sam-Dal has are in Jeju Island. They’re her fans. But she refuses to go back to Jeju Island until Eun-Ju’s case. Because her ex-boyfriend Yong-Pil is in the island. Yong-Pil broke up with Sam-Dal for some reason before she came to Seoul.
He doesn’t want to go to Seoul because Sam-Dal as well. They were childhood friends. They were in love. Yong-Pil cares for Sam-Dal’s mother. He calls Mi-Ja mother instead of madam. He still has feelings for Sam-Dal. Sam-Dal doesn’t forget Yong-Pil as well. She just doesn’t wish to run into him.

Who Plays Jo Sam-Dal in Welcome to Samdal-ri?
Jo Sam-Dal is played by Shin Hae-Sun. Shin Hae-Sun is a famous Korean actress. She starred many top k-dramas. She’s pretty and she’s good at acting. Her previous roles were Ban Ji-Eum in See You in My 19th Life, Kim So-Yong in Mr. Queen and Lee Yeon-Seo in Angel’s Last Mission: Love.
