This is the recap for The Untamed: Episode 41. Wei Wuxian finds Chifeng Zun with his paper person. It flashes back. Chifeng Zun kills the evil spirit in the woods. He asks the disciples about the one who guarded the woods. The disciple reveals it was Meng Yao.
Chifeng Zun Expels Meng Yao After Meng Yao Killed a Disciple of Nie Clan
Meng Yao carries the water to the cave. He hears the people mock him in the cave. He returns to the woods and he has a seat. He takes out a bread. He eats it. Chifeng Zun shows up. Meng Yao greets him. Chifeng Zun wonders why Meng Yao didn’t take a break with others in the cave.
He takes Meng Yao to the cave when the disciples of Nie Clan are badmouthing Meng Yao. Chifeng Zun is furious to cut the rock with his sword. He scolds the disciples and he lets Meng Yao be his deputy general. But he sees Meng Yao killing someone in the city.
Chifeng Zun takes Meng Yao to his palace. He throws him to the floor when he’s close to him with a blade. Meng Yao explains it to Chifeng Zun that he killed the person because the person didn’t respect his mother. Chifeng Zun grabs Meng Yao’s collar. He knows he told him a lie. Because Meng Yao used the sword of Wen Clan to kill the person.
Chifeng Zun asks Meng Yao if he pretended to be weak for letting him help him. He thinks he would kill all of the disciples if he didn’t help him. He stabs the floor with his blade. He asks Meng Yao not to tell a lie in front of him. Meng Yao cries to tell Chifeng Zun that he doesn’t regret for encountering him. Chifeng Zun lets Meng Yao leave. He asks him not to comeback forever.
Meng Yao Becomes A Dog of Wen Ruohan
Chifeng Zun and the people of Nie Clan are taken to the Sunshine Palace of Wen Clan. Meng Yao greets Wen Ruohan who sits on the throne. Chifeng Zun finds out that Meng Yao was the one who betrayed them. Meng Yao kills two disciples of Nie Clan because they called him dog.
Chifeng Zun calls Meng Yao dog. Meng Yao shows Chifeng Zun’s blade Ba Xia to Chifeng Zun. Chi Fengzun asks Meng Yao not to touch his blade. Meng Yao reveals the late Nie Chief passed away after Wen Ruohan sent his broken blade to him. He stuns Chifeng Zun.
Chifeng Zun Forgives Meng Yao
Chifeng Zun wakes up. He finds out that he’s in Lan Xichen’s arms. He gets up and he takes over his blade from Meng Yao. He tries to kill Meng Yao. But Lan Xichen guards Meng Yao. Chifeng Zun mentions Meng Yao killed the disciples of Nie Clan.
He tries to cut Meng Yao. Lan Xichi blocks Chifeng Zun’s blade with his sword. He mentions Meng Yao became a dog of Wen Clan after Meng Yao left Nie Clan. But Lan Xichen reveals Meng Yao sent them the map of Wen Clan. Meng Yao gets on knees to Chifeng Zun. He explains it to him that he killed the disciples of Nie Clan for getting the trust from Wen Ruohan. Lan Xichen persuades Chifeng Zun that Meng Yao did it because he had to do that. Chifeng Zun is furious to cut off the lantern. He leaves Sunshine Palace.
Chifeng Zun Blames Jinguang Yao for not Killing Xue Yang
Chifeng Zun, Lan Xichen and Jinguang Yao become brothers. They swear not to betray each other. Chifeng Zun takes a look at Jin Guangyao. Chifeng Zun takes a break in his palace. Lan Xichen teaches Jinguang Yao the calm song. But Chi Fengzun spits blood.
Lan Wangji notes that Wei Wuxian isn’t well when Wei Wuxian connects the emotion with Chifeng Zun. He goes to play the zither. Lan Xichen walks Jinguang Yao in the hall. He tells Jinguang Yao not to provoke Chifeng Zun. Chifeng Zun shows up. He’s furious to ask Jinguang Yao for a talk.
Jinguang Yao follows Chifeng Zun to the yard. Chifeng Zun attacks Jinguang Yao. Jinguang Yao avoids it. His followers point their swords at Chifeng Zun. Jinguang Yao lets his followers leave. Chifeng Zun asks Jin Guangyao about Xue Yang. Jinguang Yao reveals Xue Yang is locked up in the prison.
But Chifeng Zun mentions what he told Jinguang Yao to kill Xue Yang. He thinks he released Xue Yang when they were in Dirty World. Jin Guangyao denies it. He thinks Xue Yang didn’t kill the people of Chang Clan. But Chifeng Zun knows Jinguang Yao hired Xue Yang for the Yin Iron Yue Yang has.
Jinguang Yao explains it to Chifeng Zun that it was his father’s order. Chifeng Zun is furious to tell Jinguang Yao that the trick doesn’t work for him. Jinguang Yao confesses it to Chifeng Zun that he fears people. He mentions Jinguang Shan doesn’t intend to let him be his heir even if Jin Zixuan passed away.

Chifeng Zun realizes that Jinguang Yao didn’t kill Xue Yang for his position in Jin Clan. Jinguang Yao admits it. He mentions Chifeng Zun killed more people than him. But Chifeng Zun has kept mentioning it. Chifeng Zun is furious to tell Meng Yao that he wouldn’t kill people for climbing high. Jinguang Yao learns that the people Chifeng Zun killed were deserving the deaths. He points out that there would be some sacrifices if he wants to achieve his dream.
