Yan Li looks at Wu Xian’s face and worries about him. She asks him where he went, but he doesn’t want to share. He hugs her and promises not to leave her alone.
Huai Sang runs to Wu Xian with yelling, but gets taken away by Jiang Cheng. Wu Xian touches the black flute after they left. Wang Ji sees it and worries that Wu Xian will take the evil path. Ruo Han knows Wen Chao died, and he is sad. He wants to see how the four families defeat his family.
Nie family throws a banquet for Wu Xian, and Ming Jue asks Wu Xian why he didn’t take sword. Someone else thinks Wu Xian is arrogant. Wu Xian doesn’t explain it, and people thinks he is practicing evil spell.
When people are talking about getting rid of Wen family, Wu Xian leaves with the wine pot. Jiang Cheng comforts Wu Xian and tells him to take sword. Wu Xian cannot tell the truth, and claims he liked to show off sword art because he was childish.
Yan Li walks in Wu Xian’s room and touches the black flute. But she feels the pain of getting burned. She thinks the spirit implement knows his master, and tells Wu Xian to give a name to the spirit implement. Wu Xian gives the name “confession” to the black flute, and she notes that Wu Xian is changed.
Wang Ji remembers Wu Xian talked cleverly in the classroom, and thinks the lively boy is gone. Jiang Cheng doesn’t find Wu Xian, so he attends the meeting alone. People think Wu Xian is arrogance. Wu Xian sees Wen Qing being treated as slave. He blows the black flute and makes the rocks roll from mountain to save her.
Yan Li finds Wu Xian and takes him back, and Wu Xian tells Ming Jue not to fear Ruo Han. He shares that there must be a stuff to restrain evil iron. But the young masters look down on Wu Xian because he doesn’t take sword.

Wang Ji attacks Wu Xian with his sword, and Wu Xian almost gets hurt. Wang Ji questions Wu Xian why he didn’t take sword, and Wu Xian smiles reluctantly and feels wronged.
