Ning Chuan thinks his position is in danger, so that he pretends to kill former dynasty’s troop Xue Futu, but the emperor suspects him more.

Feng Zhiwei takes of her wet clothes, and wears the new one. Ning Yi asks someone else to light the lamp, she walks out carefully. She thrills that he is the tailor. But he asks her to kneel as he is a prince. She kneels down, and curses, “Liar!” He asks her why she is so stupid, she isn’t happy. He thinks they’re suitable, since she is stupid, and he is dumb. But she points out that he pretends to be a dumb. He laughs, and promises her to ask his father to cancel the marriage. She tells him her name later.

Qiu Mingying tells Qiu Shangqi about Feng Zhiwei’s background in the private room, and mentions Ning Yi killed her father 8 years ago. She points out that Feng Zhiwei will take revenge for Ning Yi if insists on marrying her to him. She warns him to bury the whole family if Feng Hao is hurt. Ning Yi takes the medicine after Feng Zhiwei left, the emperor’s nose bleeds. He remembers Ning Yi’s mother fed he and Ning Yi same blood, so they have same fate. He sends Zhao Yuan to see the Prince of Chu, Ning Yi lies in bed, and doesn’t feel well. Zhao Yuan knows he got sick after seeing off Ning Chuan.

Feng Zhiwei returns Qiu family with moonlight, she is frustrated because of Ning Yi. Qiu Mingying blames her why she returned so late. Feng Zhiwei avoids the eye contact, and transfers the topic to her brother. She wants to visits Madam Xu after knowing she locked him up. But Qiu Mingying stops her, and claims Qiu Shangqi scolded Madam Xu, so Feng Hao will return tomorrow. She sees the beautiful clothes, and asks her to kneel to swear that she won’t marry Ning Yi otherwise her mother won’t die well.

Ning Yi wakes up after faint, the emperor thinks his sickness looks weird. He lost his temper after knowing the sickness was because of Ning Chuan. Ning Yi listens to the report, and thinks the emperor watched on him by mistake. But Ning Cheng claims he just cares him.

Madam Qiu cries out because he wanted to marry his real daughter instead of Feng Zhiwei to the Prince of Chu. The fifth aunt badmouths Qiu Mingying, he scolds her. Qiu Mingying tells Feng Hao to stay away from the fifth aunt after he returned. The fifth aunt calls Feng Zhiwei as princess at the garden, Feng Zhiwei accepts it. But she looks down on her background, Feng Zhiwei is furious.

The emperor calls Ning Yi to palace, and asks about the dinner last night. Ning Yi says it’s great, and the emperor wants to play chess with him. But he fails, and sighs “Eight years!” Ning Yi points out he wasn’t satisfied with Ning Chuan, so he released him to remind the princes. The emperor asks about his body condition. Ning Yi wants to cancel the wedding because it brought to him the bad luck.

Ning Yi drinks at his house, he thinks he knew his father, but he wasn’t. The emperor is furious when knowing Da Cheng’s army appearing at Yan Zhou. Gu Yan thinks it’s his mistake to tell the crown prince about it, the emperor wants to fire him. But Ning Yi asks for punishment as he tells other princes about Da Cheng’s army. The emperor laughs.

The emperor announces to cancel the wedding, Madam Qiu thinks it’s because of Feng Zhiwei. The fifth aunt heard Qiu Shangqi and Qiu Mingying’s talk, and thinks about the Gu Heng. Ning Chuan isn’t happy, and wipes servants. The princes of Zhao and Chu wants to deal with Ning Yi, but Ning Chuan rejects it. They thinks Ning Yi was intention to do it, and hint the Ning Chuan didn’t kill Da Cheng’s baby.

Ning Chuan fears the child threatens his position, and decides to kill Xue Futu’s army. The Prince of Zhao runs into a woman who cries out to ask for her husband, he just ignores her. Gu Yan asks Jin Yuwei to look for the trace of Xue Futu, but they get nothing. Xin Ziyan receives the crown prince’s order, and is asked to arrive the place to catch Xue Futu with Gu Yan. But they’re attacked at the woods. Gu Yan is injured.

Xin Ziyan asks Ning Yi if the dead is worth it on the way of throne. Ning Yi claims he just wants to take revenge Ning Qiao, and it’s Xin Ziyan’s idea to support him. Just then Ning Cheng reports that Ning Chuan killed Xue Xutu, and emperor calls Ning Yi to palace.

The dead Xue Futu lie outside the palace, and are covered by black clothes. The princes of Zhao and Yan flatters Ning Chuan. But Ning Yi is scared when remembering Xin Ziyan’s words. The Prince of Zhao takes off the cloth, and finds the guy with acne, recalling the woman’s words. He is frightened. The emperor hands over the rest thing to Ning Yi. Ning Chuan cannot understands it, but he has to obey the order.

Ning Chuan fears the emperor cancels his position of crown prince, Chang Hai reminds him that he didn’t answer it right when emperor asked him why the Xue Futu appeared at the Jing Du instead of Yan Zhou. Ning Yi wants to discover the truth of Xue Futu, but Gu Yan reminds him that he needs evidence. The Prince of Zhao fears Ning Yi finds out something, and wants to take him away.

Gu Yan and Ning Yi was sent to chase Da Cheng’s baby 8 years ago, but Gu Yan betrayed him. Gu Yan thinks he just wants him to betray crown prince, but Ning Yi takes out a bag, and claims he is looking for his family. Gu Yan tears up, and remembers Ning Yi asked him to kill his brother with his wife and children’s lives. Ning Yi denies saying that he didn’t want to baby to die, and mentions the emperor promised him to forgive the baby and Gu Heng if he convinced him to surrender.

Ning Yi asks Gu Yan to send Jin Yuwei watching on the Prince of Zhao, but Gu Yan refuses. Ning Yi pats the table, and asks him if he wants to take revenge the dead Jin Yuwei.
