But Zhu Yan’s dress gets burned. She tries to put out the fire. But killer catches the chance to attack her. Shi Ying beats back the killer. But Xue Ying’s dancing dress gets burned. The killers flee before Shi Ying’s reinforcements come.
Shi Ying wonders why Zhu Yan doesn’t leave. He puts her into his sleeve. She wonders where she is. She smells the smell of snow rose. Shi Ying reports to Da Siming that the killers have left. Chong Ming finds out that Zhu Yan is missing.

Shi Ying stops Chong Ming before he speaks. He reminds him that he needs to take medicine. Chong Ming leaves. Da Siming finds out that the killer used the spell of Ice Clan. He tells the priests to go to look for the killers. Zhu Yan finds Shi Qing. She tells him to take her to leave.
But he doesn’t move. She realizes that he’s an illusion. Shi Ying wonders why the clansmen of Ice Clan visited them. He thinks the only treasure is the Ring of Earth. But Da Siming doesn’t believe it because the Ring of Earth can only be used by the chosen person.
Episode 3 of The Longest Promise ends with Da Siying intending to let Shi Ying see the merciless of the world. Shi Ying remembers Qiu Shui tricked him to stab her. He asks his mother Bai Yan if she sees the world. He thinks the bad guys don’t deserve her mercy.

Zhu Yan sees Chong Ming. She wonders why he came to the place. She tries to catch him. But he avoids her catching and turns into a human. She’s surprised that he can be a human. She remembers she said the same words before. He thinks she can save Shi Ying.
Chong Ming drags Zhu Yan to run. He tells her that his immortal friend is in the cave. Shi Ying hits the rock. Chong Ming stops Shi Ying. Shi Ying mistakes Chong Ming as the person he hates. Zhu Yan pushes Chong Ming away before Shi Ying hurts him.
