The prisoner Zhang Xiaojing pulls out the nail from the hole on the wall, and tries to talk a look at the inside of the prison. But he’s dragged to see the lady Tan Qi. She thinks he’s too smelly. So the bodyguards pour the water to Zhang Xiaojing.
Zhang Xiaojing’s hair is wet. Tan Qi takes him to walk around the house and points at the power. She tells him that it’s Watch Tower, and thinks it’s useful to him. We learn that Zhang Xiaojing is the former evil general. Tan Qi tells his master Li Bi that she brought the person.
Zhang Xiaojing points out that they mistook him, and reveals Dali Temple announced not to pardon him forever. But Li Bi tells Zhang Xiaojing that he can help him get pardoned. Zhang Xiaojing thinks there’s no young master who can ignore Tang Law, and asks if his first name is Li.
Tan Qi reports to Li Bi that she’s not leaked his identity to anymore after she took Zhang Xiaojing out of the prison. Zhang Xiaojing sees the place is the site of Jinglong Temple, and reveals the place is the personal land of crown prince. Li Bi opens the door and walks out. The followers pay their respect to him.
Li Bi tells Zhang Xiaojing that his first name is the Li of previous dynasty. He adds that Saint summons him to talk about the meaning of Taoism frequently. Zhang Xiaojing learns that it’s a new department. Li Bi tells Zhang Xiaojing that he can help him get pardoned from the capital crime. He adds that he can walk around the Changan with the status of innocence after today.
Li Bi tells Zhang Xiaojing that he can take care of the person he wants to take care. But he needs to complete one thing. Zhang Xiaojing asks if the thing is same to what Cui Jiulang did. Li Bi admits it and tells Zhang Xiaojing that Cui Jiulang lent exceeding the amount Changan could bear. He adds that it’s capital crime as well.
Zhang Xiaojing thinks Li Bi doesn’t have to use him since he’s using Cui Jiulang. But Li Bi reveals Cui Jiulang is dead.
The follow gives the pie to the general of Lvben army Cui Qi. Cui Qi puts off his weapon the copper hammers and catches the pie. He puts the pie into his helmet and drops one tear. Li Bi shows up with Zhang Xiaojing. Cui Qi confessed that he made a mistake to cause Huang Shan and Cui Liulang to die. He asks for the punishment.
Li Bi asks Cui Qi to change his wet clothes, and promises to prepare Liu Lang’s funeral. Xiao Jing thinks it’s funny that Cui Liu Lang is thief, but Cui Qi is official, since they’re brothers. Li Bi tells Xiao Jing that he cannot enjoy three meals of one day like Jiu Lang if he fails. Xiao Jing asks if he can trust Li Bi. Tan Qi thinks Xiao Jing won’t be alive if he doesn’t do it. Because he knew Li Bi’s identity.
Li Bi takes Xiao Jing to Jingan department, and shares that the secrets of court are in there. Li Bi introduces Xu Bin to Xiao Jing. Xu Bin says that he heard Xiao Jing but didn’t see him. Li Bi shares that Xu Bin is obsessed to get the truth with official correspondence art. He asks the time professor Pang Ling what time it is. Pang Ling says that it’s si period, the big wild fall, and all things flaming to grow.
Li Bi takes Xiao Jing to see sand table, and thinks there isn’t any city, which is great than Changan. But Xiao Jing thinks the prosperous won’t stay too long. Li Bi tells Xiao Jing to focus on the present. But Xiao Jing worries if the evil person gets the defence and government office, Changan will get bad luck. But Li Bi points out that he doesn’t need to worry about it as the defense is strictness.
He shares that he can know where Xiao Jing is, and it’s impossible to flee. Xiao Jing thinks he doesn’t have to flee because he can avoid the capital crime if he completes the task. Li Bi shares that the chief of wolf guard, Po Yan got in west market. He asks Liu Lang to help them arrest Po Yan. Xiao Jing wonders why Li Bi got Liu Lang died.
Huang Shan takes Cui Qi to get in the house Po Yan stays, and kills his men. But Po Yan kills Huang Shan and flees. Xiao Jing asks Li Bi why he wants him to just catch one person. Li Bi shares that he worries that Po Yan will hurt people. The chief Zhi Zheng returns with a donkey and breaks the model of house, saying it’s destroyed. The old man Jiao Zhuo saves Po Yan from the river, but Po Yan kills him when he knows that he is an official, and takes away his goldfish bag.
Zhi Zheng takes a look at Xiao Jing and thinks he can know who he is when he wears right fur, and asks Li Bi if he catches the wolf. Xiao Jing asks Li Bi if he doesn’t want Zhi Zheng to know who he is, but Li Bi tells Xiao Jing to do his business. Xiao Jing says camel.
Po Yan takes Liu Lang’s hand and asks him if he hears something. Liu Lang says that he cannot hear anything, and camel bells will ring and someone will come. Po Yan realizes that Liu Lang is a spy and takes him away.
Li Bi offers to give a house to Liu Lang’s family, and Xiao Jing thinks the smart guy believes that he can control everything. Xiao Jing asks Cui Qi what bad things Liu Lang did, and thinks he likes money. Cui Qi grabs Xiao Jing’s collar and yells that he did it for keeping his position. He shares that his brother swallowed the pearls to carry them and could only drink soup. Xiao Jing does the autopsy on Liu Lang and finds the paper.
The man reports to Li Bi that Er Gou’s families were killed ten days ago, and Li Bi thinks wolf guards did it. Li Bi sees the map and doesn’t know which place the wolf guards want to attack. Xiao Jing points out that Liu Lang just wants to tell them that there’re a lot of wolf guards hiding in the city. Pu Yan is in the barber shop and knows that saint will go to watch the big immortal lantern.
