The Last Immortal: Who Is Hong Ruo?
Hong Ruo is the queen of Fox Clan. She’s also a nine-tailed fox. Her older brother and her sister-in-law are killed by immortals when she’s locked up in Third Heaven. She thinks she should take duty for her older brother and her sister-in-law’s deaths. Because they didn’t have to die if she and Lin Mo weren’t in love.
Hong Yi hates his aunt because of it. He always goes against Hong Ruo. Hong Ruo is a good friend of Feng Yuan. She asks her to keep a promise to let Feng Yin marry her nephew. Feng Yuan agrees to it. But Hong Yi rejects the marriage.
Hong Ruo doesn’t know how to get along with Hong Yi. He gets into Abyss Prison. He takes Demon Flower to come back. Hong Ruo transfers Demon Flower into her body. She uses her half power to make a bead bracelet. She puts the bead bracelet on him. But he mistakes her kindness. He wants to take the bracelet off.

Qing Lin confesses to Hong Ruo that she was the one who planted Demon Flower in Hong Yi’s body. She tells her that she plans to get her body.
Hong Ruo doesn’t wish to let Qing Lin get her body. She tries to kill herself. But she’s possessed by Qing Lin. Qing Lin uses Hong Ruo’s body to kill many monsters and immortals. She’s heartless to Hong Yi. Hong Yi knows the truth in the end. Hong Ruo gives her core to Hong Yi before she dies. It helps him become a god.
Hong Ruo is a good aunt and a good girlfriend. She does everything she can do for Hong Yi. But she’s destined to have a bad ending. She loves Lin Mo deeply. Gu Jin gets into Feng Yin’s enchantment. He makes Phoenix Gem kill Feng Yin. Feng Yuan and Hong Ruo get into the Soul Lamp to look for Feng Yin’s soul. But they don’t find the soul.
Death and Life Gate
Hong Yi needs to pass the Death and Life Gate for getting into Third Heaven in episode 3. So he fights with the guards at the gate. Hong Ruo shows up. She stops him. Purple Moon Mountain
Hong Ruo sends the elder of Fox Clan Hong Mei to tail Hong Yi in episode 4. But Hong Yi is missing after he got into Third Heaven. Hong Mei reports it to Hong Ruo. Hong Ruo visits Purple Moon Mountain. She asks for seeing Di Juan. But Three Heads Fire Dragon spits fire to Hong Ruo. He claims that the true god Di Juan went to God Realm.
Gu Jin and A Yin visit Hong Ruo. Gu Jin asks Hong Ruo to let them get into Quiet Mountain. He reveals one of Feng Yin’s souls is hidden in the Wutong Tree in Quiet Mountain. She agrees to it even if Quiet Mountain is the holy place of Fox Clan. She asks him to go to Purple Moon Mountain to look for Hong Yi and he needs to take Hong Yi back.
Quiet Mountain
Gu Jin and A Yin find Hong Yi in Abyss Prison in episode 5. They take him back to Quiet Mountain. But Hong Yi flees. Gu Jin and A Yin meet with Hong Ruo. They reveal they have found Hong Yi. But A Yin finds out that Hong Yi is missing after she tried to let him leave her Qiankun Bag. The fox thinks Gu Jing and A Yin told a lie. But Hong Ruo senses Hong Yi’s smell from the bag. She learns that Hong Yi actually stayed in the bag. She lets Hong Huo take the two to get into Quiet Mountain to look for Feng Yin’s soul. But she asks her not to disturb the senior.
Qing Lin’s True Face
Hong Ruo drinks the good tea in her room in episode 6. Hong Mei persuades Hong Ruo that she and Lin Mo were played by fate. It flashes back. Hong Ruo fights with Qing Lin in the desert. She finds out that Qing Lin became a demon. She realizes that Qing Lin used a fake core to get Lin Mo’s guilt. Qing Lin claims that she wouldn’t let Hong Ruo get Lin Mo since she couldn’t get Lin Mo. She laughs and she thinks Hong Ruo and Lin Mo’s love couldn’t defeat the words that she’s going to die. She thinks Lin Mo won’t choose Hong Ruo all his life when he can remember her kindness.
Qing Lin tells Hong Ruo that her brother and her sister-in-law are killed by immortals when she tangles with her. She thinks there’s a credit of Demon Clan. She tells Hong Ruo that she loses. But Yi He sends Qing Lin to Abyss Prison because Qing Lin fell to Demon Path. Lin Mo shows up. He calls Hong Ruo. She cries to yell at him. She asks him not to come to her. We return to the present. Hong Mei mentions what Hong Ruo said that she doesn’t hate Lin Mo anymore. She persuades her not to be cold to Lin Mo. But Hong Ruo wants to talk about it after Lin Mo comes.
Transferring Demon Flower Seed
Hong Yi walks in the woods in episode 7. Qing Lin tries to hurt him. But Hong Ruo shows up. She asks Hong Yi to go back with her. But he thinks she’s giving him an order. She tells him that she’s worrying about him. But he thinks he’s not close to her.
Lin Mo shows up. He thinks Hong Yi shouldn’t break Hong Ruo’s heart. Hong Yi mentions Hong Ruo didn’t come back for the man. He doesn’t accept her and he tries to fly away. But she uses her monster power to stop him. She finds out that there’s a demon flower seed in his body.

She mentions she transferred demon flower seed from Hong Yi’s body to her body. She thinks Hong Yi will be fine. But she wonders why demon flower seed appeared.
Possessed by Qing Lin
Lin Mo get a good tea in episode 11. He sends a message to Hong Ruo. He wishes to drink the tea with her. She waits for him in Quiet Valley. She tries to suppress Demon Flower with the monster power of Quiet Valley. But she fails. The evil spirit shows up behind Hong Ruo. She tries to get into her body.
Hong Ruo drives the evil spirit out of her body. The evil spirit shows her real body. Hong Ruo finds out that she’s Qing Lin. Hong Ruo asks Qing Lin how did her leave Abyss Prison. Qing Lin reveals Hong Yi helped her. Hong Ruo realizes that the Demon Flower is for getting Hong Yi’s body.
Hong Ruo persuades Qing Lin not to ruin the lives of Fox Clan. But Qing Lin swears to let Fox Clan fall to demon path with her. She tells Hong Ruo that she’s going to use her body to ruin everything she loves. Hong Ruo believes that Lin Mo won’t be fooled by Qing Lin.
But Qing Lin thinks Hong Ruo won’t see it. She laughs when she thinks about that Lin Mo will be happy if he knows the person is her. Hong Ruo swears not to let Qing Lin get what she wants even if she needs to ruin her body. She thinks Qing Lin is despicable. But Qing Lin thinks only weak person is despicable. She possesses Hong Ruo. Hong Ruo falls. She passes out in Lin Mo’s arms.
Forgiving Lin Mo
Hong Ruo wakes up in her room in episode 12. She dress up in front of the mirror. She asks Lin Mo to wear the hairpin for her. She mentions he wore the hairpin for her. But he doesn’t remember he did so. She explains it to him that she dreamed it. He wonders if he’s having a dream.
She reveals she knew his feelings when he took out his heart blood as her medicine. He learns that she forgave him. She reveals she was moved by what he did for her. He grabs her hands and he thinks he won her heart. But she takes back her hands. She explains it to him that she didn’t so because she doesn’t recover completely. He leaves her room.
Refusing to Lend Soul Herb to Hong Yi
Hong Yi sneaks into Hong Ruo’s room in episode 13. He asks her for Soul Herb. She claims that the herb is very important to Fox Clan. He notes that her hand was hurt. She wonders who he wants to save. She knows the person is a fairy. She reminds him that his parents were killed by immortals.
She thinks he was fooled by Immortal Clan. But he reveals the immortals are his best friends. She thinks he came to get her position. He denies it and he reveals he came to apologize to her. He mentions she’s his only family. She claims that she won’t let him save an immortal. Hong Yi realizes that Hong Ruo is a heartless person.
