This is the recap for The Double: Episode 3. Xue Fangfei returns to her room. She’s surprised to see Tong Er. Tong Er reveals Xiao Heng let her take care of Xue Fangfei. She learns that Xiao Heng didn’t give Xue Fangfei a hard time.
Episode 3
Tong Er mentions Jiang family is going to welcome second lady. She believes that she and Xue Fangfei can return home. Xue Fangfei feels guilty for not dealing with the people who killed Jiang Li. She worries that Jiang Li will resent her.
Tong Er denies it. She thinks the one who killed Jiang Li was Jiang family. Xue Fangfei reminds Tong Er that they will be killed if she’s found to replace Jiang Li. She persuades her not to take the risk. Tong Er gets on knees to Xue Fangfei.
She thinks she would be sold to beauties club if Madam Ye didn’t accept her. She reveals she promised to protect Jiang Li. But she broke the promise. She thinks she cannot see Jiang Li in the hell if she doesn’t do something. She decides to follow Xue Fangfei if Xue Fangfei can clear Jiang Li’s name.
The maid persuades Ji Shuran not to go to pick up Jiang Li in Ji Shuran’s room. But Ji Shuran thinks she has to go to pick up Jiang Li because it was the emperor’s wish. The maid complains to Ji Shuran that Xiao Heng plans to go to pick Jiang Li with the etiquette of Duke Mansion.
Ji Shuran lets the maid Madam Sun go to give the good clothes to Jiang Li. She worries that Jiang Li will win Old Madam Jiang’s heart. Jiang Li walks out of the Duke Mansion. Madam Sun is waiting for her. But Madam Sun doesn’t recognize Jiang Li.
Xue Fangfei hands over the hairpin to Madam Sun. She lets her take a look at the hairpin. She decides to return to the Duke Mansion. Madam Sun stops Xue Fangfei. She apologizes to her. She explains it to her that she did it because she hadn’t see her for a long time.
She reveals Ji Shuran asked her to come to pick her up. She believes that Ji Shuran will be happy if she finds out that Jiang Li is pretty. Xue Fangfei reveals she missed her mother as well. She regrets for not accompanying Xue Fangfei.
She thinks she’s going to return home. She swears not to let her mother’s grace down. Madam Sun shows the news clothes to Xue Fangfei. She persuades her to wear it. She thinks it will show her position. Xue Fangfei lets Tong Er accept the present. They leave. Madam Sun shows an evil smiling.
Xue Fangfei gets in the carriage. She believes that Ji Shuran won’t let her be close to Old Madam Jiang because Ji Shuran knows Old Madam Jiang is Jiang Li’s only supporter. She asked Tong Er about what Old Madam Jiang dislikes. Tong Er reveals Old Master Jiang married a concubine. The concubine liked to wear beautiful clothes. Old Madam Jiang hated it.
Master Qin meets with Xiao Heng. He blames him for arresting his son. He thinks he looks down on the chancellor of two dynasties. But Xiao Heng thinks Young Master Qin’s crime will be decided by the emperor. Master Qin decides to give Xiao Heng some days.
He swears to ask for the justice if Xiao Heng doesn’t release his son at that time. He believes that the emperor knows his feelings as a father. He leaves Xiao Heng’s office. The follower reports to Xiao Heng that Young Master Qin didn’t confess.
He plans to use a heavy punishment. Xiao Heng knows Young Master Qin didn’t confess because his father supports him. The follower asks Xiao Heng if he worries that Master Qin will go to report it to the emperor. He thinks they shouldn’t fear it.
He blames Jiang Li for playing with them. He mistook that they will get the big fish in her help. Xiao Heng walks out of his office with his followers. They see the troop. The follower learns that Jiang Li got picked up. He thinks the troop of Duke Mansion is good.

He thinks Xiao Heng shouldn’t come to watch the chaos since they didn’t catch the culprit. Xue Fangfei opens the curtains of the carriage. She sees Xiao Heng. The follower mentions Jiang Li played with them for returning to Jiang family.

He blames Jiang Li for not recognizing Xiao Heng. Xiao Heng intends to beat the follower. He thinks he gave the troop to the girl if she’s Jiang Li. He thinks he should think it deeply because the girl looks suspicious. He wonders why the girl got into the chaos place. The follower points out that Jiang Li returned to Jiang family. He thinks they cannot interrogate her.
