Sword of The Demon Hunter Episode 3

The restaurant owner wishes the officials to deal with the case well. But Jinta is calm. He asks the restaurant owner not to spread the rumor. The restaurant owner asks Jinta about the noodles he cooked. Jinta replies that it’s not bad. It makes the restaurant owner embarrassed. He thinks Jinta is rich as a masterless samurai.

Jinta reveals he’s a professional demon killer. The restaurant owner thinks Jinta is just kidding. He teases him if he plans to go to dragon palace. Jinta ignores the restaurant owner. He wants to leave. The restaurant owner tells Jinta that there was no traces of knife wounds on the victims’ bodies. It looks like that they were ripped by beasts.

Jinta is told that the case is related to demons. He decides to go to look into it since he’s a professional demon killer. He goes to the crime scene alone in the evening. But nothing happens after he waited for a long time. There’s a scream when Jinta thinks he was tricked by the restaurant owner.

Jinta runs to the bridge. Some people have been killed on the bridge. He looks around and he sees nobody. He checks the wounds of the dead bodies. He finds out that the wounds aren’t knife wounds. It’s weird that the bodies are males. But he heard a woman’s voice.

His sleeve is cut by a sword at this time. Although Jinta is ready to fight, he’s beaten by the guy. He finds out that the guy is stealthy. He shows his strength. He uses the demon’s power and he breaks the person’s sword. The demon learns that he’s not Jinta’s rival. He shows his true colors.

Jinta asks the demon his name. He’s told that his name is Mosuke. He decides to kill him. But Mosuke surrenders. He claims that he doesn’t want to fight Jinta. He just mistook him for the murderer. There was a rumor that the killer is a demon. Jinta had the smell of demon. He carried a sword.

Jinta wonders why Mosuke wants to kill the murderer since he’s a demon. Mosuke offers to change a place to talk. Jinta trusts him because he looks sincere. The two go to a house. Mosuke turns into a human. He entertains Jinta. Most demons learned to turn into humans for living in the world.

Although demons don’t lie, they will speak out the truth. Mosuke explains it to Jinta that his ability is stealth. He’s the demon who has lived for centuries. He can be called the advanced demon. Jinta confirms it with Mosuke if he killed those people. He believes him. But he wonders why he attacked him.

It’s Mosuke’s personal grudge. Jinta brings up that he heard a woman’s scream. But he didn’t see any woman. He thinks what the murderer killed were men. It seems that the women were caught. Mosuke thinks so because his wife was caught as well.

His wife was defiled, according to what the official said. Mosuke thinks his wife was very kind, but she died in such a tragic way. He feels very sad and angry. He cannot hold back his tears. He tells Jinta that he didn’t choose to live as a human because he likes humans. But he actually loves his wife. So he hates the demon who defiled his wife. He wants to take revenge for his wife in person. He wishes Jinta not to stay out of it.

But Jinta rejects it. Because he needs to kill evil demons as a professional demon killer. So Mosuke offers to cooperate with Jinta. But he wishes Jinta to leave the demon to him. Jinta agrees to take action with Mosuke. But they don’t get any murderer’s information.

The two return to the house to drink. They become friends after they got along. Jinta explains it to Mosuke that he did it for money. He thinks he did a good job to accept the money since humans hate demons very much. He asks Mosuke if he will look down on him.

Mosuke thinks he doesn’t have the right to scold Jinta. Because Jinta bought the wine. He asks him for other reasons. Jinta replies that he wants to get stronger. Because he lives for stopping a demon. Mosuke wonders why Jinta doesn’t kill the demon.

Jinta explains that he was a human. His lover was killed by the demon. It caused him to become a demon. So it’s reasonable to raid the demons who hurt humans. But Mosuke notes that Jinta doesn’t want to kill the demon. But Jinta claims that he needs to decide it until the day comes. He needs to get stronger no matter what happens.

It’s Jinta’s turn to ask questions. He asks Mosuke what he will do if he takes revenge for his wife. Mosuke says that he doesn’t have any big goal. He lives as a human because he hates fighting. He doesn’t want to be raided by humans. He doesn’t want to fight demons as well. He plans to live like before after he took revenge. He will watch his wife’s grave.

The next day, Jinta visits the restaurant again. The daughter of the restaurant owner Ofuu asks Jinta if he found the murderer. He’s surprised because he didn’t tell her about it. She explains it to him that she heard what he said that he’s a professional demon killer. So she thinks it’s a part of his work to look into the demon. He reveals the investigation didn’t go well. The restaurant owner comforts Jinta that running a business is so hard. There’s no easy job to earn money. Jinta doesn’t understand why there was no man looking at Ofuu since the waitress is pretty.

He doesn’t know what the guys in Edo are doing. The restaurant owner learns that Jinta has feelings for his daughter. He wants to catch the chance to be the protagonist’s father-in-law. It makes Ofuu shy. But she doesn’t intend to get married. She tells her father that she wants to be his good daughter. Jinta is envy of the father and daughter. Ofuu realizes that Jinta wasn’t close to his father.

He tells her that he has a sister named Suzune. Because Suzune isn’t his father’s real daughter. So he was hard on her. He even bullied her. So Jinta took his sister to run away from home. But Jinta denies it when Ofuu asks him if he still hates his father.
