Sword of The Demon Hunter Episode 2

The master lets Zenji to explain the details to the protagonist. Zenji introduces himself. He asks the protagonist how much he knew from the master. The protagonist came because the master gave him a task. The master has an adopted daughter named Natsu. He’s treated her as a pearl in the palm.

But Natsu is targeted by demon. So the master asked Jinta to kill the demon. There was a demon appearing in the yard. She kept asking to return the daughter to her. So Zenji guesses that the demon mistook Natsu as her daughter. Natsu shows up when the two men are talking.

Natsu thinks Jinta is a con artist after she saw him. She asks Zenji to drive the protagonist away. Zenji doesn’t know what to do. After all, Jinta is the helper the master hired. He’s talented. But Natsu thinks the guy does it for money. She refuses to pay any penny. Zenji has to say sorry to Jinta.

Zenji approaches Natsu’s room in the evening. He thinks he should stay there since she drove the bodyguard away. Although he’s nice to her, she knows he’s like her father who thinks she’s talking nonsense. She thinks her father doesn’t trust her so he hired a masterless samurai.

But Zenji tells her not to think so. Because the master has always cared for her. Natsu senses that the demon comes again. So she screams. He turns around and he sees the demon in the yard. He learns that what she said is true. He lets her hide in the room.

The demon tries to approach Natsu. Jinta cuts off one of the demon’s arms. He asks her name. She ignores him. He cuts her in half. Zenji believes the protagonist this time. The demon turns into a black mist. She disappears. Jinta asks Natsu how much he’s worth. Because demon will turn into white mist if she passes away. It means that the demon isn’t dead. She will come back.

Jinta becomes Natsu’s bodyguard. The next day, Zenji thanks the protagonist. He thinks they would be killed in the yard if he didn’t appear. Jinta catches the chance to ask Zenji about Natsu. Because he remembered it well when the demon asked to return her daughter to her.

Zenji reveals Natsu’s parents are the master’s relatives. He knows what Jinta is thinking. The master wouldn’t do something to hurt others. He wouldn’t raise Natsu if he’s a bad man. The master’s wife was killed by the demon. His son ran away from home and he didn’t come back. It makes the master think that everything was caused by the demon. The demon is the enemy who took away his family. The master wouldn’t keep Natsu if she’s the demon’s daughter.

The master has dinner with Natsu. He mentions the bodyguard. He learns that his daughter trusts the bodyguard very much. He feels relieved. After all, there’s no father who doesn’t worry about his daughter. But she wonders why he hired Jinta. He explains it to her that Jinta is the most famous demon killer. There was a tale that the guy only needs a sword to kill demons.

Natsu realizes that her father believes her. He accompanies her all night. He’s actually not happy. His wife was killed and his son was taken away by the female demon. But he believes that his son will come back one day. So he didn’t raise a boy.

Zenji and Jinta have a talk outside Natsu’s room. Natsu comes out and she has a talk with them. Jinta knows she admires her father. They’re good father and daughter. But her smiling is frozen when he mentions the master has a son. She has a question if demon and human can have a child.

She gets an affirmative answer. She begins to suspect that she’s the demon’s daughter. But the protagonist denies her thoughts. The demon appears in the yard again. Jinta asks the demon her name again. She refuses to answer the question. So he takes her down. It seems that she doesn’t have intelligence to speak out her name. He doesn’t kill her. He asks Natsu if he should kill the demon instead.

Natsu doesn’t understand why Jinta does it. He explains it to her that the demon was created by her feelings. Her wish made it appear and she let herself in danger. She does it for getting more love from her father. The person will be attacked by the demon if he speaks out the words Natsu doesn’t want to hear.

Natsu asks Jinta not to speak. She doesn’t understand why the ghost is so ugly. He explains that the demon will resurrect even if he kills her. The demon won’t disappear as long as the thoughts in Natsu’s mind aren’t satisfied. Natsu is in pain. She doesn’t know what to do.

Jinta tells her that she just needs to tell him to kill the guy. Natsu always avoids the things she doesn’t want to face. She conceals the week herself. She wishes herself to be loved. But she doesn’t believe the reality of the love. So she had the thoughts to be attacked by demons. She did it for making her father care for her more. The demon is ugly because of it.

Zenji comforts Natsu at this time. The one who should be killed is the demon. She cannot represent the demon even if the demon is a part of her heart. He knows it very well that the master likes her. He promises the master treats her as the most important family. The father and daughter aren’t good talker. He thinks they should have a talk and get along like real family.

Natsu is convinced. So she asks Jinta to kill the demon. The demon is her obsession. It’s different now. Natsu decides to change herself. The people see the white smoke. They confirm that it’s over. But Jinta stands in the yard after Natsu fell asleep.

It seems that he knows the demon would resurrect. Because there’s a question which isn’t resolved. It’s why the demon kept asking to return her daughter back. It’s another thoughts that is different from Natsu. The strong feelings come from the master Juzo’s wife. The demon is the protagonist’s mother.

The place is Jinta’s home. Juzo is his father. The son Zenji mentioned is the protagonist Jinya. Jinta kept asking the demon her name because he lost his mother when he was a child. The daughter the demon mentions is Suzune who has demon bloodline.

The mother’s resentment turns into a demon. She stands in front of the protagonist. He has to kill the demon. The demons in the yard were killed. The next day, Zenji and Natsu thank Jinta. Natsu promises to try her best to change herself. She won’t let the resentment appear.
