Will Jiang Xuening Learn Zither from Xie Wei?

Xie Wei tells Jiang Xuening that she’s different from others because she saved him before. But she thinks her grace was nothing because he saved her many times. She claims she would help him no matter who he was. He agrees to what she said.
He thinks Zhang Zhe isn’t match her. He thinks it’s not a bad thing that she lost Zhang Zhe. She tells him that it’s not his business. He mentions he has fought with his fate for many years. He tells her not to give in to her fate.
He asks her to learn zither from him. He mentions he has told it to her father. He thinks he can tell Yan Lin’s case to her. She leaves his house. Xue Dingfei eats at the restaurant. The storyteller tries to tell a story to the guests. But the guests ask for a fresh story.
Xue Dingfei throws the money to the storyteller. The storyteller reveals there was a lady meeting with her lover in the jail. Master Jiang summons Jiang Xuening when she’s going to go to learn zither. Madam Jiang asks Jiang Xuening to get on knees to her.
Jiang Xuening realizes that something happened. Master Jiang reveals Madam Li ordered a new drama when he and his wife went to Master Li’s house. Madam Jiang complains to Jiang Xuening that everyone knows that she went to Tong City with some men.
Who Spreads the Rumor of Jiang Xuening?
Jiang Xuening believes that the one who spread the rumor was Xue family. But Madam Jiang thinks it was Jiang Xuening’s mistake. She believes that Xue family wouldn’t do that if Jiang Xuening didn’t offend Xue family. Jiang Xuening yells at her mother.
She thinks Madam Jiang gets angry because she worries that she will get her older sister involved. Madam Jiang tries to slap Jiang Xuening. But Master Jiang stops her. Jiang Xuening promises not to get her older sister involved.
She leaves home. Madam Jiang complains to her husband that they give birth to a bad daughter like Jiang Xuening. Master Jiang comforts his wife that he knows she cared for Jiang Xuening. He thinks she shouldn’t provoke Jiang Xuening.
He thinks the trouble wasn’t caused by Jiang Xuening. He mentions Jiang Xuehui was on the list of the princess. The maid reports to Jiang Xuehui that Master Jiang didn’t let Jiang Xuening leave her room because Jiang Xuening made Madam Jiang angry.
Jiang Xuehui worries about Jiang Xuening. But the maid thinks the rumor will get Jiang Xuehui involved. Jiang Xuehui scolds the maid. She thinks she should help Jiang Xuening because she’s her sister. She believes that Xue family wished her to quit. She thinks she got Jiang Xuening involved.
She tries to explain it to Madam Jiang. But the maid stops her. She worries that Madam Jiang will know she met with Shen Jie. She reminds her that her mother will let her not take part in the election of princess. The servant hands over the letter to Jiang Xuehui.
Jiang Xuehui reads the letter. She finds out that the one who sent the letter to her was Xue Shu. Jian Shu stops Xue Dingfei when Xue Dingfei tries to visit Xie Wei. Xie Wei stops Jian Shu. He asks Xue Dingfei what happened. Jiang Xuehui meets with Xue Shu at the restaurant.
Xue Shu pours Jiang Xuehui a drink. She reveals she has wanted to talk with her. Jiang Xuehui thinks Xue Shu wants to talk about the good drama with her. She thinks she should know the reputation is very important to a girl. Xue Shu reminds Jiang Xuehui that Jiang Xuening shouldn’t accept the calamity.
Will Jiang Xuehui Give up the Concubine Election?
Xue Shu thinks she should give Jiang Xuehui a lesson since she doesn’t know her position. Jiang Xuehui wonders why Xue Shu used the dirty method since she has been the princess. She asks her if she fears the talks of the people. But Xue Shu thinks nobody is going to badmouth her because Xue family is powerful.
She tells Jiang Xuehui that she did it because she cannot control the feelings of Shen Jie. She reveals Shen Jie has told Empress Dowager that he has feelings for Jiang Xuehui. She worries that Shen Jie will make Jiang Xuehui be his princess.
She doesn’t wish to make it happen. Jiang Xuehui realizes that Xue Shu wishes her to give up the concubine election. Xue Shu admits it. She reminds Jiang Xuehui that she will keep her younger sister’s reputation if she gives up.
Jiang Xuehui wonders if Xue Shu does it for Shen Jie or the position of princess. Xue Shu thinks it’s not important. She leaves the restaurant. Jiang Xuening lets the maid send the letter to Shen Jie. But the maid worries that Shen Jie cannot help them.
Jiang Xuening believes that Jiang Xuehui will give up the election for the reputation of Jiang family. So she asks Shen Jie a favor. The maid is surprised that Jiang Xuening intends to help Jiang Xuehui. Jiang Xuening denies it. She thinks she should return the position to Jiang Xuehui.
She claims that she cannot stand it when someone bullies her family. Zhang Zhe walks around his house. He remembers his mother thought the girl he likes is the best girl. He tears up. Gu Chunfang visits Zhang Zhe. Zhang Zhe tells his teacher that he doesn’t want to return to the palace because he misses his mother. But Gu Chunfang tells Zhang Zhe that someone wishes to see him. He believes that he will change his mind after he sees the person. Xie Wei shows up.
Xie Wei meets with Zhang Zhe in the room. Zhang Zhe mentions Xie Wei tricked him to look into Xue Yuan. He asks him what he wants him to do. Xie Wei thanks Zhang Zhe for what he did for him. He reveals he came for Jiang Xuening. But Zhang Zhe thinks it’s not his business.
Xie Wei reveals Xue family leaked Jiang Xuening taking part in the case of Tong State. He tells Zhang Zhe that the rumor came from the restaurants. He cannot show up because he’s looking into Xue family. He persuades Zhang Zhe to look into the case. He mentions Jiang Xuening blocked the arrow for Zhang Zhe. Zhang Zhe takes a look at the note on the table.
Emperor and Consort Qin are in the palace. Shen Jie breaks into the palace. He tells Emperor that he wants to give up the title of prince. He reveals his mother and Xue family forced him to marry Xue Shu. But he loves someone. He prefers to die if he cannot marry the girl. He asks Emperor to help him.
Emperor is furious to scold Shen Jie. Shen Jie gets on knees to his older brother. He asks him to help him. Emperor coughs. Shen Jie is taken away. Consort Qin persuades Emperor that Shen Jie did it because of love. But he reveals he worried about his mother’s intention.
He mentions his mother insisted on letting Shen Jie marry Xue Shu. He thinks Xue family wanted to deal with Consort Qin and her son. Zhang Zhe is working in Justice Department. Xue Dingfei helps him catch the culprit. Jiang Xuening visits his father. He shows her the resignation letter. She wonders why he wants to resign.
He mentions he got the position of prime minister because he never wished to get power. He gets angry when he thinks Xue family attacked Jiang Xuening because of Jiang Xuehui. Jiang Xuening learns that her father knew it. Jiang Boyou mentions Xue family wanted to get the position of Linzi Princess.
He reveals Linzi Prince brought trouble in Emperor’s Study. He thinks the secret cannot be hidden. Jiang Boyou tells Jiang Xuening that he cannot guard her because Yan family fell. He decides to leave the trouble place. But Jiang Xuening stops her father. She thinks it was her mistake.
He scolds her and he worries that she cannot get married if she accepts the wronged. She claims that she won’t get married. She reminds him that Xue family won’t forgive them even if they flee to the countryside. He knows what she said. But he also knows it’s hard to deal with Xue family.
He decides not to be the prime minister for his two daughters. Jiang Xuening gets on knees to her father after knowing his hardship. She thinks she brought trouble to the family. Jiang Boyou helps his daughter up. Jiang Xuening decides to shoulder her mistake. He comforts her that he’s not hard at all. He promises to think about it. He lets her leave.
Jiang Boyou reports to Emperor that Xue Yuan embezzled disaster relief money three years ago. Xue Yuan scolds Jiang Boyou because the case was closed. Jiang Boyou talks back that Xue Yuan wouldn’t fear it if he did nothing wrong. Xue Yuan claims that he was wronged. He asks Emperor for the justice.
Emperor reminds Jiang Boyou that Jiang family will be punished. Jiang Boyou reveals the witness is arrested in Justice Department. Xue Yuan thinks Jiang Boyou wronged him for his daughter. He asks Emperor to punish the guy. The ministers follow Xue Yuan to ask Emperor to punish Jiang Boyou.
Zhang Zhe shows up. He tells Emperor that he wants to report something to him. But Emperor wants to talk about the case later. Zhang Zhe reveals his report is related to Jiang Boyou and Xue Yuan. He hands over the report to Emperor.
Emperor reads the report. He asks Zhang Zhe is the report is true. He’s furious to throw the report to Xue Yuan. He blames him. Zhang Zhe mentions Jiang Xuening helped him catch the rebels in Tong State. He thinks the lady did a great job. But Xue Shu used Xingwu Guards to wrong Jiang Xuening.
Xie Wei persuades Emperor not to let the rumor hurt the innocent girl. Xue Yuan claims that he knew nothing about it. But Emperor mentions what the report stated that everything were done by Xingwu Guards. Xie Wei tells Xue Yuan that his daughter will be chosen be the princess if she’s good enough. He thinks Xue Yuan didn’t have to do so.
He persuades Emperor to calm down and he thinks Xue Yuan did it because he loved his daughter. Emperor scolds Xue Yuan. He thinks he treated Xingwu Guards as his servants. He asks Zhang Zhe and Xie Wei to go to look into Xingwu Guards.
Empress Dowager is furious after knowing what Xue Shu did. She scolds Xue Shu. She slaps her when she claims that she didn’t do it. She knows her methods because she trained her. She mentions what she told her not to make any mistake before the election. She asks her if Jiang Xuehui is worth it.
Xue Shu explains it to Empress Dowager that she did it because she worried that the prince would be bewitched. She asks her for another chance. Empress Dowager mentions she trained Xue Shu for Xue family. But Xue Shu did many stupid things.
She asks her why does she forgives her since she got her and her father involved. Xue Shu is taken away. Eunuch Huang persuades Empress Dowager not to blame herself because of someone else’s mistake. She thinks she chose a wrong girl.
Xue Shu returns home. Her father slaps her. He blames her for getting Xue family involved. He asks his wife to take a look at the daughter she raised. Madam Xue offers to beg Empress Dowager. She mentions Empress Dowager favored Xue Shu.
Xue Yuan disagrees. He yells at Xue Shu that she lost Xue family’s face. But she claims that she did it for Xue family. She mentions Jiang Xuening’s father fought for his daughter at the court. She thinks Jiang Xuening’s reputation should be ruined.
Xue Yuan is furious to slap Xue Shu. He points out that Emperor is the ruler. Xue Ye breaks into the room. He reports to Xue Yuan that Xie Wei and Zhang Zhe went to Xingwu Guards’ camp. Xue Yuan tells Xue Shu not to leave the house. He leaves with Xue Ye. Xue Shu tears up. She takes a look at the fragment on the floor.
Xue Yuan arrives at Xingwu Guard Office. Xie Wei reveals they came to look into the case. But Xue Yuan blames Xie Wei for taking so many royal bodyguards. Xie Wei reveals it was Emperor’s order. He asks Xue Yuan if he wants to rebel.
Madam Meng gets angry after knowing her husband sued Xue Yuan at the court. She thinks he couldn’t come back if Xie Wei and Zhang Zhe didn’t help him. He stops her and he hints at her that Xue Yuan targeted Jiang Xuehui. Jiang Xuehui visits Madam Meng.
She gets on knees to her and she confesses that she brought the trouble because she and Linzhi Prince were in love. Madam Meng is furious to slap Jiang Xuehui. She blames her for ruining the reputation of Jiang family. Jiang Boyou comforts his wife. He thinks she shouldn’t slap their daughter.
Jiang Xuehui reveals she and Shen Jie didn’t do anything bad. She asks her mother to trust her. Madam Meng promises not to punish Jiang Xuehui. But she asks her to quit the princess election. She helps her up and she persuades her that she does it for her.

Episode 27 of Story of Kunning Palace ends with Jiang Xuening revealing Shen Jie broke into Emperor’s study for Jiang Xuehui. She thinks Jiang Xuehui should know Shen Jie has feelings for her. Jiang Xuehui knows Shen Jie’s feelings.
Jiang Xuening learns that her sister fears Xue family. She reminds her that it’s her marriage. Jiang Xuehui wonders if she needs to insist. Jiang Xuening tells Jiang Xuehui to ask herself what she wants to get. Jiang Xuehui meets with Shen Jie. He tells her that he will take care of the rest as long as she takes part in the princess election.
We return to the present. Jiang Xuehui tells Madam Meng that she wants to follow her heart. Madam Meng is furious to ask Madam Yang for the punishment. Jiang Boyou stops his wife. He reminds her that nobody can change the princess list. She’s furious to tell the father and the daughter that she won’t care for them. Jiang Xuehui calls her mother. But Madam Meng doesn’t accept her as her daughter. She leaves the room.
The maid reports to Jiang Xuening that Jiang Xuehui got on knees in the ancestral hall after she had a fight with Madam Meng. But Jiang Xuehui didn’t give up on taking part in the princess election. The maid is surprised that the lady was so tough.
Jiang Xuening is very happy after she realized that her sister knew what she wants to get. The maid mentions Zhang Zhe and Xie Wei helped Master Zhang.
