It’s Hyun-Ju’s turn to lead the team in Squid Game Season 2 Episode 5. Player 120 (Hyun-Ju) shows amazing leadership skills. He cheers each teammate before the game begins. He leads everyone to walk forward when the countdown begins. But Player 095 (Young-Mi) is too nervous. She fails to flip the paper card many times.
Hyun-Ju is calm to suggest Young-Mi turns the paper card over. She makes it after he guided her. They reach the next game. Player 007 (Yong-Sik) fails the first time as well. But Hyun-Ju commands all people to walk over together. They come back together then. It reduces the wasted time.
Player 149 (Geum-Ja) knows her son very well. She tells Yong-Sik to treat the stone as the person who cheated him out of his money. He’s angry to hit the stone. The people who watch it cheer. They pass the game. Geum-Ja completes catching stone as well.
The troublemaker comes. She’s Player 044 (Seon-Nyeo). Seon-Nyeo is a shaman and she’s extremely superstitious. Her heart is broken after she failed many times. She’a anxious to think that they’re going to die there. Hyun-Ju is decisive to slap her. He threatens to kill her before the gods. She passes the game after she got threatened.
They reach the last game. Hyun-Ju is stable to kick shuttlecock five times. The people pass the finishing line before countdown ends. They become the first team that passed the game. It inspires others. The game isn’t so scary. There’re many people passing the game later. But there’re a lot of people sent to see God.
There’s more and more blood on the track as time passes. The people are less and less in the square. In the end, all that’s left is Gi-Hun’s team and another team. The two teams make an appointment to have a meeting at the finishing line.
The game begins. Gi-Hun’s team passes the games very fast. But Player 001 (In-Ho) fails. He might want to let others feel the excitement. He keeps failing when he throws the spinning top. He makes it within the estimated time. But it means that Player 456 (Gi-Hun) doesn’t have time to make mistake. His fifth kick is too far. In-Ho helps the team complete the task with his kick of the God.
But another team isn’t so lucky. They fall down after the gunshots. Some players get angry after they find out that there’re many people alive. There were only 110 players killed in the second game. The prize pool only gathers to 201 billion.
There’re more than half of the people wishing the game to continue. But there’re still some people wanting to leave. In-Ho and Player 388 (Dae-Ho) claim that they wants to change the side. Gi-Hun doesn’t note that Player 390 (Jung-Bae) doesn’t look well.
The conflict between the two sides has completely erupted when the voting begins. In-Ho is the first player to vote. He votes to quit and he changes his side. Geum-Ja persuades her son to vote to quit. She thinks their money is enough to pay off the debts and they can open a small store.
Yong-Sik nods. But gambler cannot be trusted. He chooses to continue. There’re many people changing the sides in the subsequent voting. But the votes for continuation is more than the votes for quitting. Hyun-Ju and Seon-Nyeo volunteer to choose to continue. Player 125 (Min-Su) is forced by Player 124 (Nam-Gyu). He has to choose to continue.
Gi-Hun cannot stand it. He persuades the players not to choose to continue. In-Ho joins Gi-Hun. But Player 100 (Jeong-Dae) goes against it. He thinks they can do nothing after they leave with the money. He mentions they cannot pay off the debts. He thinks it’s the same as death.
The gambler’s psychology drives those people to continue. They won’t listen to the persuading. In the end, the voting result is 116 vs 139. The continuing side loses completely. The third game will begin tomorrow. Gi-Hun feels frustrated. Because his best friend Jung-Bae chose to continue. Gi-Hun forgets that Jung-Bae is a real gambler. But it’s such a big different in scores. Jung-Bae’s voting is nothing.
The players are going to sleep. Gi-Hun requires the team members to take turns on the night duty. He does it for avoiding someone to assassinate when they’re sleeping. The prize will increase if the players kill each other. This is why those people designed the game. Fortunately, nothing happens.
Meanwhile, the soldiers complete the task. They’re going to go home to rest. But No-Eul is attacked by the two triangle soldiers when she opens the door. The partner intends to cut off the CCTV for helping the two soldiers. No-Eul tries her best to resist. But it’s too hard to beat two soldiers.
The man rides on her. He hurts her face with the knife. He threatens her that he won’t forgive her so easy if she continues to cut off their money path. Meanwhile, Jun-Ho asks the police to help them. But he fails. He takes his men to go to the sea to look for the island. They split into two teams for expanding the search area. They plan to find the island within four days.
Min-Su finds out that Nam-Gyu and Player 230 Thanos are taking drug. Player 380 (Se-Mi) persuades the boy not to taste the stuff. She asks him not to contact the bag guys if he leaves the place. She reveals she teamed up with the people because they’re stupid. She adds that she teamed up with Min-Su because she thinks he won’t hurt her.

The soldiers wear clothes to work. They’re going to go to the designated location. The players come to the new game place. The third game is called “Mingle”. There’s a huge platform in the center of the hall. The small rooms surround the platform.

The players need to stay on the platform waiting for the order. When the voice announces a number, the players need to gather into certain number of people, hiding into the room. The people without a team or the people break the rules will be out when the time is up. The players hear the rules. They begin to talk about the tactics. The game begins soon.
