Gi-Hun wakes up. He finds out that he’s in the player room. He becomes player 456 in Squid Game Season 2 Episode 3. He just gets up from the bed. A woman stops him. She’s a witch and she’s also player 044. Her name is Seon-Nyeo. The soldiers show up. They begin to explain the game rules for everyone.
The players are told that they need to take part in six different games in six days. They will get a huge prize if they pass the six games. But Player 120 Hyun-Ju questions the soldiers why they wear a mask. Player 196 Mi-Na offers to exchange the clothes with the soldiers.
Player 333 Myung-Gi claims to take back his phone. Because he needs to check the trending of bitcoin. The soldier plays the footage that the players were slapped. Myung-Gi was a Youtube blogger. He tempted the fans to speculate bitcoin with him. He ran away after he lost 152 billion. He’s wanted because of his crime.
All of people volunteered to join the game because they had no way to go after they owed debts. The trick makes the players be silent. Meanwhile, Jun-Ho and Woo-Seok find the island. A huge gold piggy bank lands in the hall. The soldier tells the players that the prize will accumulate after they complete a game. He reveals the whole prize is 456 billion.
The players are excited after they heard the good news. Player 007 Yong-Sik wonders if the prize will be taken away by one player. The soldier promises to leak it after the first game is over. It’s different from season 1. The participants have a chance to vote after the end of each game. They can choose quit or continue.
Yong-Sik’s voice draws the old lady Player 149 Geum-Ja’s attention. She joins the guy and she finds out that he’s her terrible son. Yong-Sik owes a lot of money. His mother took part in the game for help him repay the debts. They don’t expect that they encountered each other there.
They wish each other to quit the game. But they fail to convince each other. The soldier announces that the players who want to take part in the game, needing to sign the agreement. The players line up for signing the agreement. Myung-Gi is the first one who signed the agreement. Someone blocks Myung-Gi’s way.
The guy is Player 124 Nam-Gyu. Nam-Gyu is former rapper. He was a fan of Myung-Gi’s channel. He followed Myung-Gi and he invested in the bitcoin. Nam-Gyu’s follower Player 230 Thanos lost money as well. They two intend to give Myung-Gi a lesson. But the scene isn’t suitable for it.
Thanos asks Myung-Gi to visit him with money after he quits the game. Myung-Gi’s girlfriend Player 222 Jun-Hee came. But he doesn’t pay attention to her. It’s Gi-Hun’s turn to sign the agreement. He finds out that the players cannot quit the game on their own. He signs the agreement.
They players begin to take photos. They don’t know the death is going to come. So they laugh. Hyun-Ju was former special forces soldier. He’s also a transgender person. He came to take part in the game because he didn’t have enough money to pay the transgender surgery. Gi-Hun knows the truth about Squid Game. He’s serious when he takes photos.
The players need to go through a long channel for taking part in the first game. Someone stops Gi-Hun. The person is Gi-Hun’s best friend Player 390 Jung-Bae. The two played horse racing game together in season 1. They don’t expect that they would encounter each other there.
Gi-Hun feels headache. He takes the guy to the corner. He forces him to follow him. Jung-Bae promises it after he noted that his friend is very nervous. Everyone leaves the gate. They reach a playground.
The first game is “Red Light, Green Light”. Thanos has feelings for Mi-Na. He runs to her for knowing her. Everyone notices the huge and weird girl doll. Gi-Hun is waiting for the support of his team members.
Jun-Ho and Woo-Seok arrive on the island. They follow the signal for looking for Gi-Hun. But it’s not that simple. Woo-Seok finds Gi-Hun’s tooth. He realizes that they were fooled by the angler. They came to the wrong island. All plans fail. Gi-Hun has to pass the first game and vote for leaving the games.
Gi-Hun tells the truth about the game to the players before it begins. But nobody believes him even if he emphasizes the frightening of the game. One of the players thinks Gi-Hun wants to hog the prize. Five-minute countdown begins. Gi-Hun suggests everyone doesn’t run away no matter what happens.
He commands the people to move. There’s nobody being killed in the latest waves. Gi-Hun is behind the group. He asks Jung-Bae to follow him. The lights of the photo bricks aren’t off. But there’s an accident in the world. Mi-Na moves when she talks with Thanos. She’s shot in the head.
Front Man feels relieved after he witnessed it. He plays the music for adding to the fun. Gi-Hun yells and he persuades the people not to be flustered. But someone forgets his words after she saw the dead body. The ones who aren’t firm want to flee. Those people become the souls under the guns.
The lights of the photo bricks begin to be off. The ones who killed them are the soldiers who wear triangle mask. No-Eul is one of them. Her number is 11. She shot the heads and the hearts. She was heartless. She finds out that Player 246 Kyung-Suk came to take part in the game as well.
The alive players realize that what Gi-Hun said is true. They become obedient and they line up to be a few teams. The big one stands in front so that he can block the sight of the doll. So the doll cannot detect the actions of the people who stand back.
But Thanos takes drug secretly. He pushes the people who stand in front of him. The players sacrifice. There’s less than half the time left. The people speed up the progress. But some people are still caught by the doll. The end of the line is in front of the players. Gi-Hun tells them to run fast.
Someone of them reach the finishing line. But a man is shot. He falls down and he hits two bad luck players. A player is out. But he only gets shot on his leg. Gi-Hun goes to help the player. Hyun-Ju joins Gi-Hun. The two take the player to the finishing line before the countdown is over. But No-Eul shoots the Player 444’s heart. Because the guy is out.
The players are frustrated to return to the dormitory. The soldiers show up. They congratulate the players on passing the first game. The chief soldier shows the prize to the players. It has been 91 billion. Most of the players are greedy after they saw the money.

The greedy people don’t care for other people’s lives. Gi-Hun tries to persuade the people. But the people are black-hearted. The voting begins. The ones who want to quit and the ones who want to continue have a disagreement. It’s a tie.

The last one who votes is Player 001 In-Ho (Lee Byung-Hun). He’s also the Front Man. He chooses to continue because he wants all of the players to be killed in the game. The people who want to continue cheer. Player 001 turns around. He stares at Gi-Hun. The game is getting interesting.
