He takes out all of his bonuses and he hires his former creditor the boss of Sunshine Capital Mr. Kim. He swears to find the recruiter who flipped the paper card. Sunshine Capital makes a living by lending money. The debtors has been missing the last few years.
Mr. Kim suspects that it’s related to the mysterious organization. He takes his followers walking around all of the subway stations. It has been a beautiful scenery. But they get nothing in the past two years. The employees have been thinking the boss is mad if they don’t get high salary.
Meanwhile, Jun-Ho who was shot in season 1 wakes up. His older brother Front Man didn’t kill him. Jun-Ho is transferred to the traffic police station three years later. He cannot prove the presence of Squid Game because he lost evidence. He conceals the identity of the person who shot him.

Mr. Kim is going to end the search work. His follower Woo-Seok has been mad because of the job. He thinks there’s nobody who would play Flip Paper Card Game at the subway station. He thinks his wife would ask him to take part in the game if there’s 456 billion.
He hears the flip sound. The recruiter is slapping a person. Woo-Seok contacts Mr. Kim. They go to chase the recruiter. The recruiter walks out of the convenience store with the bread and the lottery tickets. He smiles. It seems that it indicates a destiny which you cannot avoid.
He walks into the park. The homeless people are the players he chose. He shows the homeless person the bread and the lottery ticket. The homeless person hesitates but he also wants to get it. He’s tempted by the hungry and dreams. He makes the decision.
One by one, the homeless people give up the most substantial survival method for the unreal hope getting rich one night. But fate always shows the truth with the most cruel method. Those dreams of hope shatter in front of the reality.
Every lottery ticket becomes the unfulfilled promise. Every desire heart loses brilliance at this moment. The recruiter isn’t moved. He walks to the center of the park. He throws all of the bread to the ground. He’s heartless to step on the bread. He tells those homeless people that they gave up the chance on their own.
Gi-Hun is on the way to the park. He’s stopped by the police officer because he was speeding. Jun-Ho is another police officer. He takes a look at the bill. He remembers Gi-Hun. The recruiter takes a cab and he goes to another place.
Mr. Kim decides to lead his follower to take action in person for the ten billion. They rush to the recruiter. But they’re beaten by the recruiter. Gi-Hun arrives in the alley. But there’s nobody there. He finds the bloodstain and Mr. Kim’s knife. Recruiter watches him from the rooftop.
Mr. Kim and Woo-Seok are taken to a strange room. There’s a sense of oppression in the air. It seems that the Grim Reaper is waiting for it quietly. He glances at the two. Their fate has been decided. Rock, paper and scissors. But it’s not simple.
The hand will decide the victory or defeat. It’s a game racing against death. The loser will welcome the Russian roulette. Every turn will have one chance in six to die. The chance will increase to one chance in five when it turns again.
The game begins. Woo-Seok loses his cool because he’s nervous. He doesn’t throw a punch. He’s judged to break the rules. Fortunately, the bullet isn’t in the gun. The game continues. But the recruiter doesn’t plan to give up. He decides to raise the stakes. He increases the number of bullets to five.
Woo-Seok breaks down. He throws two rocks and he doesn’t catch any chance. Mr. Kim can win as long as he leaves a paper. But he doesn’t take back one of his hands when the order is given. He’s disqualified. He passes away after one gunshot.
The recruiter is cold to watch it. He thinks it’s just a game. Woo-Seok is destined to step into the deeper swirl. He will be taken into the Squid Game.
Jun-Ho finds Sunshine Capital’s office according to Gi-Hun’s car. He finds out that the people are looking into Squid Game. An employee comes back to take weapons. They plan to go to support because their boss goes missing. He leaves the key when he’s flustered.
Jun-Ho gets Gi-Hun’s address according to the car rental paper. Gi-Hun returns home. He plans to take a break. But the signboard is lit up. He’s carefully to walk into the house. The recruiter is waiting for Gi-Hun. He was the former staff of Squid Game.
His duty is simple and cruel. Carrying and ruining body. The bodies are heartless trash to him. He has worked hard for many years. He got the gun then. It’s the symbol of his reward. But it’s also the beginning of his falling. He was asked to kill his father in a task.
His father cried and he asked for his mercy when he got on knees to him. He asked him for a chance of survival. But the recruiter didn’t hesitate and he pulled the trigger. The gunshot shot his soul. He doesn’t regret for what he did.
He enjoys it. Killing becomes one part of his life. But his real role is the minion of bigwigs. He’s controlled by them and he becomes a cold-blooded tool. Gi-Hun’s coming isn’t just a challenge to the game but a revenge. He wants to bring the justice to those people who tried their best to survive.
The recruiter gives Gi-Hun a chance. It’s the updated version of Russian roulette. It’s not simple turn anymore but alternate fire until the game is over. Each pulling trigger increases the chance of death exponentially. The oppression feelings of death coming are heavier and heavier when the time flows.
It seems that the recruiter gets the great fun from it. He always changes a new posture when it’s his turn. He uses provocation words for making the game more nervous. He mocks Gi-Hun and he thinks he’s a loser. But Gi-Hun doesn’t show his weakness.
He tells the recruiter that he’s just a dog who barks. The fifth bullet loads. The situation reaches the boundary point. The recruiter’s eyes are cold. He wants to use his words to rip Gi-Hun’s reason. He asks Gi-Hun if he wants to break the rules for killing him.
