But Edward is told that the place needs to be sealed for one week. He remembers the note in his dormitory. He opens the note and he sees a polyhedron pattern. He’s interested in it and he climbs the school building in the evening. He sneaks into Mallinder’s office from the balcony.
He finds the burned out notebook from the trash can. He’s furious to hit the wall with the trash can. The sound draws the guards who are on patrol. Even the dean of the math department knows it. He blames Edward for his cold blood.
Because the guy files a lawsuit after Mallinder passed away. He claims that Mallinder stole his research notebook. The dean persuades Edward to drop the lawsuit and apologize to Mallinder. Edward is in anger. He thinks out the burned out notebook. He rejects the dean’s offer.
Edward is kicked out of the school. He packs up his stuff and he finds a cheap hotel. He lives in the hotel. The next day, he visits Mallinder’s teacher Osborne. The old professor appreciates Edward’s talent. He wouldn’t let Mallinder teach the guy if he didn’t retire.

A student of the great mathematician drew icosahedron. The mathematician killed the student after he knew it. Edward realizes that why Mallinder left the note. He wonders what he is studying is the prohibition of mathematical field.
He visits Andrea after he said goodbye to Osborne. She thinks he didn’t tell a lie. Because her husband burned out the tablecloth which was written prime numbers formula. She thinks Mallinder ruined Edward’s notebook. Edward is firm and he wants to find the truth.
He reads the papers Mallinder left and he finds the school pass. He puts the pass into his pocket. He finds several remittances from Capra research institute. The logo is same as the icosahedron drawing. Edward remembers what Mallinder said that he knows a person who studied same subject as Edward’s subject.
Andrea nods. She reveals the person is the mathematician Safiya. Safiya was Mallinder’s classmate before. Edward notes that Andrea doesn’t want to say more. He says goodbye to her. He doesn’t find out that there’s a person following him.
He uses his teacher’s school pass to come to the library. He finds out that the research Safiya published caused a sensation. But Safiya disappeared soon. Edward wishes to meet with Safiya. But he only finds Safiya’s thesis. The content is about the weird icosahedron except prime numbers.
The manager views the information. She finds out that Safiya killed himself thirty years ago. Edward remembers Mallinder who committed suicide after he contacted prime numbers. He notes that there’s a person following him. He returns to his hotel.
He remembers the Capra research institute. He looks into the research institute and he finds out that it’s a private organization that studies future. Someone knocks at the door suddenly. Edward doesn’t dare to go to open the door.
He learns that the person comes from Capra research institute. The person wants to invest in Edward’s research. Edward isn’t tempted by the meat pie. He claims that he needs to think about it. He takes a look at the guy from the balcony. He thinks the person doesn’t look like a bag guy.
