This is the Recap & Ending for K-Drama One Ordinary Day: Episode 5. Mi-Kyeong blames Soo-Jin for betraying her. She’s furious to leave. He’s sent to the prison. Du-Sik takes Hyun-Soo to the cafeteria. He gives him a task and tells him that he will kill him with the knife if he doesn’t do that.
One Ordinary Day: Episode 5 Recap

Joong-Han is washing foot. He gets a call from Jung-A who asks him for going to the school for their daughter Hye-In. Hyun-Soo tries to buy two packs of cigarettes from Ji-Tae. Ji-Tae is surprised because he knows Hyun-Soo doesn’t smoke. He tells Bone-Setter to give the cigarettes to Hyun-Soo even if it breaks the rule.
Du-Sik finds out that Hyun-Soo only got two packs since he asked him for getting three packs. He uses the knife to hurt his neck. He beats him and makes his nose bleed. He puts the cigarette butt into his mouth. Du-Sik turns around and sees Sang-Soo glaring at him. He releases Hyun-Soo and walks away.
Hyun-Soo sees his dead body. He wakes up from the nightmare. He’s startled to yell and cry. Hyun-Soo borrows some money from his dad. He buys a pack of cigarettes from Ji-Tae. He gives the cigarettes to Du-Sik. But Du-Sik beats Hyun-Soo because he asked for two packs. He uses the lighter to burn his hand.
Ji-Tae shows up. Du-Sik leaves after he took away the asthma treatment from Hyun-Soo. Ji-Tae walks to Hyun-Soo when he cries. He takes him to see the doctor. The doctor treats Hyun-Soo’s wound and gives him a new asthma treatment. Ji-Tae takes Hyun-Soo to the kitchen where Bone-Setter is beating Du-Sik.
Ji-Tae has a seat. He tells Du-Sik to apologize to Hyun-Soo. Du-Sik rejects it because he has self-esteem. Ji-Tae punches Du-Sik’s nose. Du-Sik is scared to ask Ji-Tae for his mercy. Ji-Tae ignores Du-Sik and pours the hot water on his palm. The prison officer shows up. He gets his followers to take Du-Sik away.
Mi-Kyeong reads the news about her and Hyun-Soo. She gives the case to Soo-Jin because she thinks they will fail no matter what they do. But Soo-Jin can learn something from the case. Soo-Jin bows to Mi-Kyeong and thanks her for giving the chance to her.
Joong-Han goes to Hye-In’s school to take class for the students. He explains why Lady Justice is blind. He shapes himself to be a hero who helped poor kids. He returns to his office with the statue of Lady Justice. He sees the beautiful legs. He walks to legs and finds out that the person is Soo-Jin.
Soo-Jin tells Joong-Han that Mi-Kyeong gave Hyun-Soo’s case to her. He learns that she needs his help. So he asks for some money. She agrees to it after knowing he will be her follower. She hands over the paper of jury trial to him. He accepts the plan even if he got defeated in the jury trial.
Joong-Han goes to the prison to see Hyun-Soo. He notes that his hand was hurt. He asks him about it. Hyun-Soo tells Joong-Han that the wound was made by himself. He learns that he’s his lawyer. He signs the contract. Joong-Han tells Hyun-Soo that they’re going to do the jury trial. He tells him not to catch the chance.
Bone-Setter tells Hyun-Soo that Ji-Tae wants to see him. Hyun-Soo follows Bone-Setter and arrives at Ji-Tae’s cell. He sees the prison officer Jung-Soo. Jung-Soo brings the gift to Ji-Tae, thanking him for helping his family. Ji-Tae reminds Jung-Soo that they’re friends. He gives some money to him. Ji-Tae tells Hyun-Soo that he can help his families like he did to Jung-Soo.
Joong-Han gets a call from Jung-A who thanks him for replacing her to take class for Hye-In. So he asks her for doing something for him. Jung-A drives the car to Gook-Hwa’s house. She does the makeup and walks into the house. She sees Joong-Han talking with Soo-Jin if they will win.
Jung-A walks to the second floor. She gets Joong-Han to move the mattress. She tells him that she saw it. He panics to deny because he stared at her. She tells him that what she meant is Hyun-Soo’s news. She wonders why he wants to help the boy. She sees Soo-Jin sitting on the couch when she shows her legs. She tells her to move aside. She sits on the couch and thinks it’s pretty good.
Bone-Setter injects the painkiller to Hyun-Soo. Hyun-Soo wonders why Bone-Setter did that to him. Ji-Tae tells Hyun-Soo that he’s going to be sent to hospital because of fracture. Hyun-Soo tries to flee. But he’s caught by Bone-Setter. Ji-Tae reminds Hyun-Soo that he helped him before. So he needs to repay it.
One Ordinary Day: Episode 5 Ending
Joong-Han sees the blue shirt Hyun-Soo wears. He asks him for taking it off because the blue shirt is usually worn by prisoners. Tae-Hee tells the jury how Hyun-Soo killed Gook-Hwa and ruined the evidence. He tells them not to forgive Hyun-Soo. Hyun-Soo is nervous when the women in the jury glare at him.
Joong-Han tells Hyun-Soo not to give jury any reaction. Joong-Han reminds the jury that the evidence was made by Sang-Beom. He shows Hyun-Soo’s photos to them, and reminds them that they came to the court to examine Hyun-Soo’s guilt.
Tae-Hee offers to let Hyun-Soo return to Gook-Hwa’s house since she and Joong-Han cannot convince the jury. The jury agrees to it. But Hyun-Soo tells Joong-Han that he doesn’t want to get back to the house. Joong-Han reminds Hyun-Soo that the jury will believe what Tae-Hee said if he doesn’t return to the house.
Hyun-Soo gets off the van. The police officer takes him to walk. He sees the notes people left. He learns that they wish him to get punished. He spots Sang-Beom and Tae-Hee waiting for him when Tae-Hee holds the umbrella. Joong-Han shows up and holds umbrella for Hyun-Soo. Hyun-Soo takes a look at Joong-Han.
