This is the recap for Netflix K-Drama My Name Ending: Episode 8. Ji-Woo sits on the floor of the jail. Pil-Do asks her about her real name. Su-Yeon stands in the office of Mu-Jin. He gives her an order. Gi-Ho wakes up and takes off the mask. He tries to get up. But he cannot do that.
My Name Ending: Episode 8 Recap
Note: From here on out there are specific plot spoilers for Netflix K-Drama My Name Ending: Episode 8.
Su-Yeon visits Ji-Woo. She tells her that Mu-Jin wants to see her. She hands over the handkerchief to her. She walks to Pil-Do, asking him for giving the treatment to Ji-Woo. But he asks for the papers of Dongcheon instead. She reminds him that the reporters will be interested in the mole at the police station.
Pil-Do takes Ji-Woo to get into the van. Su-Yeon sees it. She gets in her car and reports it to Mu-Jin. He hangs up and tells his followers to go to pick up Ji-Woo. Ji-Woo is sent to the hospital. Pil-Do sees the doctor giving her the treatment. He leaves the ward and gets a call from Gi-Ho. He runs away.
Ji-Woo spots the butterfly tattoo on the nurse’s neck. She recognizes her. The nurse is startled to leave the ward. The doctor goes to pick up the phone. Ji-Woo catches the chance to take the tweezers. Pil-Do visits Gi-Ho and tells him that they arrested Ji-Woo. But he’s told that the girl is Dong-Hoon’s daughter.
Ji-Woo opens the handcuffs with the tweezers. She’s startled when the nurse shows up behind her. Pil-Do leaves the ward. He remembers what Gi-Ho told him that the one who hurt him was Tae-Ju. He realizes that he misunderstood Ji-Woo.
The nurse gives her car key to Ji-Woo. She tells her to drive her car to flee. But Dae-Soo breaks into the ward before Ji-Woo leaves. Ji-Woo has to fight with Dae-Soo. She defeats him and runs away. Dae-Soo reports it to Pil-Do. Pil-Do looks for Ji-Woo in the hospital. He spots her and tries to get her. But she gets into the elevator, and the door is closed.
Ji-Woo arrives at the parking lot. She gets into the car and tries to drive it away. But Pil-Do shows up in front of her and stops the car. He catches her after she got off the car. He mentions her name. She takes off him and tries to flee. But he catches her again.
Pil-Do asks Ji-Woo if she released Mu-Jin because she wanted to kill him. She admits it. So he takes out the handcuffs, trying to arrest her. But she kicks him over and gets in the car. He takes her out of the car. She yells at him, thinking he knows that reason why she wants to go to see Mu-Jin. He tells her that he knows her feelings.
Ji-Woo doesn’t believe in what Pil-Do said. She tells him that she gave up her name for Mu-Jin but he fooled her. But she finds out that Pil-Do tied her with the handcuffs when she talked with him. He yells at her that she will pass away if she kills Mu-Jin. She beats him.
Mu-Jin’s followers get off the van. Pil-Do hands over the stick to Ji-Woo. They fight with the gangsters and get into the car. Pil-Do drives the car. But the gangster climbs on his car. Pil-Do makes him fall off his car. But the guy joins the gangsters when the van passes by.
Su-Yeon reports to Mu-Jin that Pil-Do saved Ji-Woo. Mu-Jin puts the phone into his pocket. He goes to wear ties for Tae-Ju. Ji-Woo wakes up. Pil-Do opens the handcuffs for her. She finds out that he drove the car to the beach. He tells her that he still remembers her wish.

Ji-Woo and Pil-Do get off the car. He takes her to the house. He opens the door with the key, telling her that the house belongs to his friend. He sets a fire in the stove and wants to take a look at her wound. But she rejects it. She takes off her clothes. He drops the medicine on the wound. He wipes off the medicine from her arm.
Pil-Do tells Ji-Woo that he wanted to kill the murderer like her. He adds that what he did only hurt him. He tells her to give up the revenge. She’s in tears. She wipes off the tears when he wears the clothes for her. He tells her to trust him. She touches his face and kisses him when he grabs her hand.
Pil-Do takes Ji-Woo’s hair aside. He kisses her. The two sleep together. Pil-Do hugs Ji-Woo from her back. He tells her that he wants to take Mu-Jin’s life with her. He thinks she can complete the task which Dong-Hoon didn’t achieve. Mu-Jin drinks alone when he stares at the group photo of him and Dong-Hoon.
It flashes back. Mu-Jin arrives at the restaurant. He spots the students bullying Gang-Jae. Dong-Hoon drives the students away and tries to give the cash to Gang-Jae. But Gang-Jae rejects it and gets on knees to Mu-Jin. He asks for joining them. It makes Dong-Hoon and Tae-Ju laugh. They drive Gang-Jae away.
Mu-Jin wonders why people keeps hurting him. He thinks Ji-Woo wants to take his life. Su-Yeon breaks into the office. She brings a bad news to Mu-Jin, telling him to flee. Mu-Jin is furious to smash the photo frame. He takes out the gun and points at Su-Yeon. She’s startled to flee.
Ji-Woo wakes up and takes a look at Pil-Do. She touches his hair with her hand. She gets up from the bed and sees the gun. She leaves the house and walks on the beach. Pil-Do wakes up and finds out that Ji-Woo is missing. He runs out of the house and spots her.
Pil-Do tells Ji-Woo that he worried that she would leave. She thinks he didn’t have to do that. She walks into the house with him. Pil-Do parks the car at the street. He tells Ji-Woo that she will have hard time. She tells him that she will accept her fate. He grabs her hand and tells her that he will accompany her. But Mu-Jin shows up. He kills Pil-Do with his gun.
Mu-Jin rides the motorcycle away. Pil-Do leans on Ji-Woo’s knees. His forehead is bleeding. Ji-Woo takes out a gun and gets off the car. She walks away when Dae-Soo arrives. Gi-Ho is told the death of Pil-Do. Ji-Woo goes to the building of Dongcheon. She points the gun at the guard, letting them open the door.
Ji-Woo walks into the hall and fights with the gangsters. She’s hurt and goes to the elevator. The gangsters rush out of the elevator. Ji-Woo catches the chance to get in the elevator. Ji-Woo sees the camera. She breaks it. Mu-Jin takes the knife. He wipes off the blood with handkerchief.
Ji-Woo checks the bullets in her gun. She only leaves one bullet. She gets off the elevator and fights with the gangsters. She defeats all of them. But Mu-Jin’s chauffeur is good at using legs. She has to shoot him. She walks into Mu-Jin’s office and points the gun at him.
Mu-Jin notes that Ji-Woo is fatigued. She tells him that she has the power to take his life. Mu-Jin tells Ji-Woo that her dad is a weak person. He mentions he didn’t take action even if he had the chances. He thinks she’s different from her dad.
Ji-Woo picks up the photo from the floor. She tears it up and tells Mu-Jin that she wants to be a beast like him. But he doesn’t believe that she will become a beast. She tells him that she made the decision after he killed Pil-Do. She takes the knife to attack him.
Mu-Jin takes the knife to fight with Ji-Woo. He takes off her knife and keeps stabbing her. She uses his knife to stab him when he wants to take her life. She picks up the knife from the floor and takes him life when he intends to shoot her. She walks away.
A woman who wears sunglasses visits the grave of Dong-Hoon. She places the flowers on the grave. She looks at the sky. She visits the grave of Pil-Do. She holds the umbrella to walk away when it’s raining. We find out the woman is Ji-Woo.
