Ji-Won’s Marriage Explained

Ji-Won has a terrible marriage. Her parents don’t attend her wedding. Her mother-in-law gives her a hard time because she didn’t bring a son to the family. Her husband resigns. He walks at home. But he doesn’t do any housework. Ji-Won is bullied by her boss when she works. She finds out that she has a gastric cancer. It’s stage 4. Her husband doesn’t care for her. He only worries that his wife won’t cook for him.
Ji-Won looks at outside when the kids are playing. A petal floats into her ward. She tries to catch the petal. But Soo-Min closes the window. She thinks the cold wind isn’t good for Ji-Won. She holds her head and thinks she’s pretty.
Ji-Won smiles. Soo-Min asks Ji-Won to leave a long life with her. Ji-Won is moved. She feels happy for having a friend like Soo-Min since her marriage is terrible. But Soo-Min thinks Min-Hwan is a good husband. Ji-Won reveals Min-Hwan cheated on her. She adds that her husband sent a message to her. But he deleted the message. She believes that he intended to send the message to the girl he likes.
Ji-Won sees Soo-Min’s red shoes she wears. Soo-Min volunteers to have a talk with Min-Hwan. But Ji-Won rejects it. The nurse calls Ji-Won. She asks her to go to the transfusion room. Soo-Min comforts Ji-Won. She tells her not to give up.
It flashes back. Ji-Won gets married. She throws the flowers to Soo-Min. Soo-Min is happy to catch the flowers. Ji-Won’s mother-in-law Ja-Ok thinks Ji-Won is pretty. She finds out that Ji-Won’s parents didn’t come. She asks Ji-Won to treat her as her mother. She begins to train her.
Ja-Ok scolds Ji-Won because she didn’t bring the son to her family. Min-Hwan tries to stop his mother. But she spills the coffee to Ji-Won’s clothes. Min-Hwan resigns. He plans to do stocks. Ji-Won reminds her husband that they have loan payments.
Min-Hwan scolds Ji-Won. He jumps to the couch. He lies on his mother’s knees. He asks his mother if he will make it. She believes that there’s nothing her son cannot do. The boss Kyung-Wook scolds Ji-Won in his office. She begins to have a nosebleed. She tries to leave his office. She sees Joo-Ran and Soo-Min.
Ji-Won returns home. She finds out that Min-Hwan didn’t fix the lock. She sees the mess on the table. She blames her husband for not fixing the lock. But he yells at her when he plays the video game. He thinks she didn’t do her job well. Because she kept working overtime.
She thinks he should take out the clothes from the washing machine. But he claims that he has worked all day. She feels uncomfortable. She goes to see a doctor. The doctor tells her that she has a gastric cancer. It’s stage 4. Ja-Ok cries. She thinks his son shouldn’t marry Ji-Won. Min-Hwan complains to his mother that he’s unlucky. He worries that there’s nobody cooking if Ji-Won has a cancer. Ja-Ok comforts his son that Ji-Won will be fine. She asks Ji-Won if she agrees to what she said.
Who Kills Ji-Won?
The person is Min-Hwan. Ji-Won returns home because Min-Hwan didn’t pay the hospital bill. She finds out that her husband slept with her best friend. The two think about killing Ji-Won to get the money. Ji-Won is furious to beat Soo-Min. Min-Hwan pushes Ji-Won to the glass table. He kills her by mistake.
The patient’s family tells Ji-Won not to care for her husband’s affair. She reminds her that she has a great friend. Ji-Won agrees to what the lady said. Soo-Min drives her expensive car to Ji-Won’s house. She wears makeup. She walks into the house.
She’s happy to jumps to Min-Hwan when he catches her. She kisses him. The two sleep in the bed. The doctor stops Ji-Won. He tells her that she needs to pay if she wishes to continue the treatment. She calls her husband. But he doesn’t pick up her phone.
Ji-Won walks out of the hospital. She catches the petal. The petal flies away. Ji-Won gets in the taxi. The driver comforts Ji-Won that she will recover. But she thinks she’s going to die. She reveals the doctor told it to her. She complains to him that she doesn’t have any family.
He takes another path. She sees the blooming flowers on the tree. They arrive at the house. Ji-Won hands over the cash to the driver. But he returns it to her. Because it’s his last day as a driver. He wishes her good luck. Ji-Won returns home. She sees the red shoes on the floor.
Ji-Won finds out that her best friend Soo-Min slept with her husband. Min-Hwan reveals he bought an insurance for Ji-Won. He believes that he will get the money if Ji-Won dies. He promises to buy Soo-Min bags with the money. Soo-Min asks Min-Hwan to buy her a house. He agrees to it.
But Min-Hwan thinks Ji-Won lives too long. Soo-Min volunteers to push Ji-Won off somewhere. But Min-Hwan worries that Soo-Min will fall as well. Ji-Won breaks into the room. She blames the two. She tells them that she’s going to report them.
Ji-Won throws she and Min-Hwan’s wedding photo to Min-Hwan. She tells him and Soo-Min that she’s going to kill them. Min-Hwan tries to slap Ji-Won. He reminds her that he can do nothing. He leaves with Soo-Min. Ji-Won is furious to throw the can to Min-Hwan.
He tries to beat her. But Soo-Min stops Min-Hwan. She apologizes to Ji-Won. She asks her to go to die. It makes Ji-Won tear up. She grabs Soo-Min’s bag when she tries to leave. She beats her. Min-Hwan stops Ji-Won. He tells her to go to die. He pushes her to the glass table. He kills her.
Is Ji-Won Reborn?
Yes, Ji-Won is reborn. She travels back to 2013 from 2023 after she was killed by Min-Hwan. She and Min-Hwan work at same company. Soo-Min works at the company as well. Ji-Won runs into a warm guy Ji-Hyeok. She knows he will be a president in the future.
Ji-Won sheds tears when she stands in the office. She’s startled when Min-Hwan calls her baby. He reminds her that she doesn’t wear her glasses. She wears her glasses. She finds out that the person is her husband. He hugs her when he asks her if she went to the hospital.
She screams. She chases him when she throws something to him. She chases him out of the room. She grabs his hair. Ji-Hyeok stops Ji-Won. He reminds her that they’re working. She looks around and she trips. He catches her. She takes a look at her arm.
She finds out that she’s fine. She runs out of the office. She looks at herself in the mirror. She’s startled when she sees her face. She steps back and she trips. The kettle falls to her. Ji-Hyeok pushes the kettle aside with his hand. So Ji-Won isn’t hurt.
Ji-Hyeok hugs Ji-Won. He asks her if she was hurt. Soo-Min shows up. She calls Ji-Won. Ji-Won looks at Min-Hwan and Soo-Min. She remembers the two killed her in her past life. She flees and leaves her shoe. Ji-Hyeok follows her. Someone bumps Ji-Won. It makes her trip.
Ji-Hyeok hugs Ji-Won. She’s in his arms. He notes that she’s barefoot. He goes to pick up shoes for her. She looks at the poster. She finds out that she’s in 2013. He returns with her shoes. She wears her shoes. He takes her home. He gives some cash to her.
Ji-Won returns home. She takes a look at the date of the food. She finds out that she’s in 2013. Ji-Hyeok visits her with some food and drinks. She walks out of her house. She finds out that he has left. She thinks he’s a warm man. She eats the noodles. She remembers she was killed in 2023. She knows Ji-Hyeok was a president in 2021. She realizes that she travelled back.
Episode 1 of Marry My Husband ends with Ji-Won seeing the injury on Ji-Hyeok’s arm. She realizes what’s bound to happen will happen. Soo-Min asks Ji-Won about her injury. Ji-Won decides to let it happen to Soo-Min. She asks her to throw the cash for her.
What Is Ji-Won’s Plan?
Ji-Won finds out what’s bound to happen will happen. It means that she cannot avoid her fate. But she can give her fate to someone else. So she plans to let Soo-Min steal her fate. She won’t be killed by Min-Hwan if the one who marries Min-Hwan is Soo-Min.
Ji-Won buys a cup of coffee from the coffee shop. She returns to the company. She sees Soo-Min talking with Kyung-Wook. Soo-Min sees Ji-Won. She waves at her. Ji-Won decides to let Soo-Min steal her fate when she smiles at her. She walks into the elevator with her.
Ji-Hyeok stops the door of the elevator. He walks into the elevator. He hits the elevator when Kyung-Wook blames Ji-Won for going out to buy coffee. He stops Ji-Won before she gets off the elevator. He takes her to the rooftop. She tries to hand over her coffee to him.
But he rejects it. He explains it to her that he called her to the rooftop because he wished her to enjoy the coffee alone. She reveals she won’t resign. She takes out the cash with the heart drawing. She reveals the heart drawing was drawn by her father.
Ji-Hyeok smiles after knowing Ji-Won won’t leave his company. He tries to ask her out after knowing she doesn’t have any plan this weekend. But Soo-Min reveals she has a plan with Ji-Won. Ji-Hyeok has to leave. Soo-Min wishes to drink Ji-Won’s coffee. But Ji-Won rejects it. Soo-Min gets in the elevator. She blames Ji-Won for not letting her drink her coffee since she helped her not work for Ji-Hyeok.
Episode 2 of Marry My Husband ends with Ji-Won returning home. She sees the shoes and the clothes on the floor. Min-Hwan takes a shower in the bathroom. Ji-Won gets a message from Soo-Min. Soo-Min tells Ji-Won that she won’t come.
