Eun-Ho (Lee Joon-Hyuk) encounters workplace isolation because he took days off for taking care for his sick daughter in Love Scout Episode 1. The boss Young-Sik ignores Eun-Ho. He asks him to get him some water and he disallows him to take part in department meeting. He uses all kinds of methods to force Eun-Ho to resign.
Ji-Yun (Han Ji-Min) is the president of Peoplez. She’s an outstanding president when she works. But she’s dazed on other sides. Her office is a mess like a pigsty. She mistakes someone else’s car for her company’s car frequently. She complains to her best friend Mi-Ae (Lee Sang-Hee) that she didn’t get her a suitable secretary.
Mi-Ae complains to Ji-Yun that the secretaries resigned because they couldn’t bear Ji-Yun’s temper. There’s nobody applying for secretary position now. Ji-Yun accepts the client’s task to go to hire the engineer Ho-Jin. She knows the boss doesn’t like Ho-Jin. Her client can give the best offer to the guy.
Ho-Jin is moved. He tries to take over the papers from Ji-Yun. But Eun-Ho walks to them and he interrupts their talk. The executive knew there’s a headhunting is contacting Ho-Jin. He sent out the talented Eun-Ho for keeping Ho-Jin. He asked Eun-Ho to try his best to stop Ho-Jin from leaving the company.
Ho-Jin is embarrassed and he makes an excuse to flee. Ji-Yun blames Eun-Ho for ruining her plan. But he persuades her to give up on hiring Ho-Jin. The two have a resentment. Ji-Yun goes down the mountain. There’s no street light. So she takes out her phone to illuminate.
But her cell phone is dead. She doesn’t know what to do. Eun-Ho opens his phone and he helps Ji-Yun illuminate. They’re silent and they leave the mountain. Ji-Yun tells Eun-Ho that their encounter was a mistake before they split up. She wishes not to see him.
Eun-Ho arranges a company gathering. Ho-Jin attends the gathering. The people are the old colleagues of Ho-Jin. Ho-Jin is affected by the warm atmosphere. Eun-Ho’s emotion trick works. He catches the chance to take out a phone Ho-Jin designed.
He mentions the credit Ho-Jin has taken in the past twenty years. He thinks the company and Ho-Jin are going to write a new chapter. He wishes Ho-Jin to stay in the company. Ho-Jin is moved. But he doesn’t tell his decision to Eun-Ho.
Ji-Yun doesn’t give up as well. She visits Ho-Jin the next day. She learns that he needs to go to the school to take part in his son’s football game. She volunteers to take him to the destination. But Eun-Ho brings the presents to the class of Ho-Jin’s son.
The kid praises Eun-Ho in front of his father. Ho-Jin decides to stay in the company. So he rejects Ji-Yun. Ji-Yun looks at Eun-Ho who’s confident. She gets angry. The colleagues of HR department throw a party for Eun-Ho. They praise Eun-Ho for taking a big credit for the company.
The atmosphere is good. But Young-Sik shows up and he begins to scold Eun-Ho. He thinks he shouldn’t rob the credit. He pours everyone a drink. But he ignores Eun-Ho. Eun-Ho knows Young-Sik hates him. He pours him a drink for keeping his position.
But Young-Sik puts Eun-Ho’s drink aside. He takes the wine glass and he asks another employee to pour him a drink. He refuses to accept Eun-Ho’s goodwill. Eun-Ho bears the wronged. He helps the drunk Young-Sik get in the car. He’s polite to say goodbye to him. But Young-Sik threatens Eun-Ho that he’s going to deal with him.
Eun-Ho needs to go home to take care of his daughter. So he says goodbye to his colleagues. The colleagues talk about why Young-Sik did so to Eun-Ho. The colleague who’s close to Eun-Ho gives out the answer.
One year ago, Young-Sik takes over an important project. He treats the talented Eun-Ho as his main fighter. He can get promoted as long as Eun-Ho helps him complete the project. But the kindergarten teacher tells Eun-Ho that his daughter’s recent drawings are monochrome.
His daughter Yu Byul locks herself in the drawings. She didn’t talk much in the school. It seems that the little girl has autistic. Eun-Ho is a single father. He applies for parental leave to Young-Sik for taking care of his sick daughter.
But Young-Sik doesn’t want to miss the good chance to get promoted. He orders Eun-Ho to take a break after the project. But Eun-Ho insists on taking days off for his daughter. Young-Sik threatens Eun-Ho that he needs to bear his bullying if he chooses to take days off.
Eun-Ho comes to work after he took some days off. But Young-Sik takes revenge on Eun-Ho. He asks him to organize meeting materials. It’s supposed to be an intern’s job. But Young-Sik asks Eun-Ho to complete it. It’s obvious that he wants to give him a hard time.
Eun-Ho takes over the papers and he organizes it. He tries to sit down for meeting. But Young-Sik asks Eun-Ho to leave the meeting room. Because he doesn’t need him. Eun-Ho doesn’t give up and he tries to give a presentation. But Young-Sik mocks Eun-Ho.
Eun-Ho compromises again. He gives the proposal he just made to the colleague Dong-Gi. He leaves the meeting room. Eun-Ho wants to resign after he got unfair treatments. Dong-Gi reminds Eun-Ho that he has a daughter and he needs to pay the home loan.
But Young-Sik attacks Eun-Ho again. He yells at him in front of the colleagues. He reveals Ho-Jin took away the papers and he went abroad. He believes that Eun-Ho is Ho-Jin’s accomplice. Eun-Ho cannot reach Ho-Jin so he goes to Ji-Yun’s company.
He just opens the car door. But Ji-Yun gets in his car. The dazed Ji-Yun got in wrong car again. She finds out that the guy is her enemy. She gets off the car. Eun-Ho stops Ji-Yun. He blames her for using a dirty method to dig Ho-Jin.
Ji-Yun is confused. She tries to ask Eun-Ho about it. He receives a message from Ho-Jin. Ho-Jin tells Eun-Ho that he’s at the airport. Eun-Ho doesn’t have time to explain it to Ji-Yun. He goes to the airport. They don’t know the one who dig away Ho-Jin was another headhunting company.
Ho-Jin explains it to Eun-Ho that he was kicked out of the project early. He couldn’t get the secret papers. He thinks the company wants to keep him for not getting the bad reputation that the employee left. The company didn’t value him so that he has to go abroad.
Eun-Ho apologizes to Ho-Jin for not knowing his hardship. Ho-Jin comforts Eun-Ho. He tells him not to force himself. He thinks they’re nobodies to the company. Their fate is being abandoned after they were used. Eun-Ho has same feelings after he heard what Ho-Jin said.
He gets a call from Dong-Gi. Dong-Gi reports it to Eun-Ho that the investigation group took away all of his stuff. Young-Sik gave a crime to Eun-Ho that he leaked the secret of the company. Eun-Ho was fired. Meanwhile, Ji-Yun passes out in her office because she was overworked.
The doctor tells Ji-Yun that she has abnormalities in her nervous system. She persuades her to reduce the work. Mi-Ae forces Ji-Yun to relax. She asks her to do something she likes to do. Ji-Yun chooses to read book in the bookstore.
The episode ends with Mi-Ae thinking she needs to hire a secretary for Ji-Yun. The next day, Ji-Yun runs into her enemy Eun-Ho in the elevator. She wonders why the guy appears there. But he follows her and he walks into the company with her. She witnesses Eun-Ho walking to her when Mi-Ae calls the guy.
