Wan Songbai reveals his mom kept Wan Qiqi because she caught a cold. He asks Cheng Shi about his fairy daughter. Cheng Shi lets Niao Niao greet Wan Songbai. Wan Songbai hands over a knife to Cheng Shaoshang. He tells her to visit him if she gets bullied by Xiao Yuanyi.
Cheng Shaoshang feels happy. Xiao Yuanyi thinks Cheng Shaoshang doesn’t know any rule. She tells her to go to serve Madam Cheng. Yuan Shen comes. Cheng Shi asks Xiao Yuanyi if she invited Yuan Shen. She denies it. Wan Songbai thinks Yuan Shen has bad intention because he knows he’s very sly.

Yuan Shen tells Cheng Shi that he doesn’t have any bad intention. He adds that he likes his elder son very much. Cheng Shi doesn’t expect that his elder son has a friend like Yuan Shen. Madam Cheng tells the guests that she was a beauty when she was young.
Cheng Shaoshang sees the gold hairpin Madam Cheng wears. She thinks it looks ugly. Cheng Yang reveals she didn’t dare to stop Madam Cheng when she added the gold into the hairpin. Lou Li and Wang Ling show up. Wang Ling tells Madam Cheng that she didn’t want to visit her.
Madam Cheng smiles. She tells Cheng Yang to take care of Lou Li and Wang Ling. Cheng Shaoshang has a fight with Lou Li and Wang Ling because they think she’s a rude girl. Cheng Yang explains to the two girls that Cheng Shaoshang became like that because of her mom’s mistake.
Wang Ling leaks that she came to see Yuan Shen. Yuan Shen shows up. He greets Madam Cheng. He turns around and sees Cheng Shaoshang. He remembers she was the girl who returned the embroidery ball to him. She leaves with Lian Fang. Cheng Yang mistakes that Yuan Shen is staring at her. She’s startled.
Lian Fang follows Cheng Shaoshang. She thinks she will catch a cold. She tries to wear the clothes for her. But Cheng Shaoshang stops Lian Fang. She tells her that she doesn’t want to stay with the guests because they mocked her.
Does Cheng Shaoshang Run into Ling Buyi in Yuchang Princess’s Birthday Party?
Wan Qiqi takes Cheng Shaoshang and Cheng Yang to attend Yuchang Princess’s birthday party. Yuchang Princess gets angry. She lets the girls taste the golden dates. Chang Shaoshang tries to smell the dates. Yuchang tells Cheng Shaoshang to eat the golden dates more because she thinks it’s Cheng Shaoshang’s first time to taste it.
Wan Qiqi mentions she killed a leopard and made leopard wine. She thinks the girls have never had a drink. Wang Ling scolds Wan Qiqi and thinks she’s like a savage. Wan Qiqi talks back that Emperor praised her after her father gave the leopard wine to him.
Wan Qiqi asks Wang Ling if she thinks Emperor is a savage as well. Cheng Yang tastes the date. She thinks the date is actually delicious. Yuchang Princess laughs. She tells Cheng Yang what she eats isn’t the real date. Cheng Shaoshang tells the girls that she can enjoy the food because of the soldiers.
Wang Ling tells Cheng Shaoshang that Zi Sheng will come. She thinks she hasn’t seen him before. Cheng Shaoshang tries to leave. She tells Wang Ling that Zi Sheng has feelings for her. But she runs into Ling Buyi. He tells her that he’s the one who has feelings for her.
Wang Ling calls Ling Buyi. Cheng Shaoshang recognizes Ling Buyi. She pretends to feel uncomfortable after she ate the dates. She leaves with Wan Qiqi and Cheng Yang. Yuchang Princess walks to Ling Buyi. She tells him that she feels happy because he attended her birthday party.
Ling Buyi tells Yuchang Princess that he felt regret for attending her birthday party. He thinks she doesn’t welcome generals. He walks away. She asks him where he went. Liang Qiufei leaks that Ling Buyi went to see the generals who cannot eat golden dates.
Cheng Shaoshang stops Wan Qiqi. She asks her if Ling Buyi is Zi Sheng. She tells her that she said that for provoking Wang Ling. But Cheng Yang sees that Ling Buyi knows Cheng Shaoshang well. Cheng Shaoshang denies it. Wan Qiqi leaks that Yuchang Princess has feelings for Ling Buyi. She mentions Yuchang Princess fell into the water.
Cheng Shaoshang reveals she kicked Yuchang Princess’s servant and ruined Yuchang Princess’s plan. Wan Qiqi feels happy. Cheng Shaoshang tells Wan Qiqi not to tell what she did to her mom. She confesses that she didn’t want to attend the birthday party.

Yuan Shen notes that Cheng Shaoshang walks Lian Fang on the street. He tells her to get in his carriage because he worries that she will catch a cold. Lian Fang tries to stop Cheng Shaoshang because she thinks Yuan Shen has bad intention.
But Cheng Shaoshang still gets in Yuan Shen’s carriage. He thinks she doesn’t have to hurt herself to deal with Wang Ling. She disagrees what he said. She swears not to attend any party. He tells her that his mom wants to invite the girls to enjoy plum blossom.
Cheng Shaoshang thinks Yuan Shen has feelings for her. He denies it and claims that his wife should be a good woman. She tries to leave. But he stops her and gives the ointment to her. She smells the ointment. She worries that it will ruin her face.
Yuan Shen tells Cheng Shaoshang to go home. She tells her not to startle people with her looks. She gets in his carriage. Cheng Shaogong reports to her that Xiao Yuanyi just wants her to write. But she prefers to get beaten. She decides to go to see Wan Qiqi.
