Light Shop Episodes 5-6 Recap: Everyone’s Tragedy

The ones who come to the light shop and the ones who wander in the dark alley are the patients who are going to die in Light Shop Episode 5. Hyun-Min is one of them. He dated a pretty girlfriend before he had an accident. One night, he planned to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday. He wanted to catch the chance to make an proposal.

But his girlfriend Ji-Young replied to Hyun-Min that she doesn’t wish him to come. Ji-Young is a deaf and dumb person. She wasn’t liked by Hyun-Min’s mother. Hyun-Min’s mother asked Ji-Young to leave her son. Ji-Young cried when she packed her stuff.

She planned not to tangle her boyfriend. Hyun-Min didn’t know the truth. He waited for the bus at the bus stop and he texted his girlfriend that he will come soon. The ones who took the bus were Sun-Hae and her girlfriend Hye-Won. The two are lesbians. Hye-Won is older than Sun-Hae.

They planned to rent a house for living together. But the real estate agent mistook them for mother and daughter. Sun-Hae was angry to leave after Hye-Won didn’t explain it. She blamed Hye-Won for covering their relationship. Hye-Won explained it to Sun-Hae that she doesn’t wish her to live hard because of the relationship.

It made Sun-Hae angry more. She got on the bus. Hye-Won worried about Sun-Hae. She followed her and she put the red heels Sun-Hae threw away next to her seat. The boy who likes singing and basketball had fun with his friends that night.

The middle school girl Hyun-Ju left the school. Her mother Yoo-Hee came to pick her up. They shared the same umbrella. They laughed and chatted like sisters. A few different people got on the bus because of destiny. The one who drove the bus was the driver Seung-Won.

He found out that the sound on the tire isn’t right before he drove the bus. He intended to drive the bus to the repair shop. But he was told that he needs to pay the fee if he doesn’t drive the bus to the depot. He had to take the risk to drive on a rainy night for saving money.

The bus was out of control. Seung-Won tried his best to stop it. But the tragedy happened. The bus fell into the river. Ji-Young witnessed it. She knew her boyfriend was on the bus. She tried to call the police. But she couldn’t speak.

The rescue team arrived soon. The bus was salvaged. The passengers and the driver were sent to the hospital. It was a terrible accident. Hyun-Min’s back was completely broken. Seung-Won drank a lot of river water. The rest were in comas.

The doctors tried their best to save the patients. But some of them passed away. It includes Seung-Won and Hye-Won. Hyun-Min’s parents were waiting for Hyun-Min to wake up in the hallway. A member of the rescue team picked up Hyun-Min’s phone from the bus. He handed it over to Hyun-Min’s mother.

Ji-Young called Hyun-Min. Hyun-Min’s mother turned off the phone. She sent a message to Ji-Young that her son passed away because of Ji-Young. She thought her son wouldn’t have an accident if he didn’t go to see Ji-Young. Hyun-Min was saved by the doctor. Hyun-Min’s father checked the message. He found out that Ji-Young wanted to go to the place where Hyun-Min stays.

Hyun-Min’s parents realized that Ji-Young wanted to end her life. So they sent a message to the girl. They told her that Hyun-Min is alive. Ji-Young saw the message. She removed her ten nails when she struggled. But she failed to retrieve. She passed away. The mortician put her into the refrigerated cabinet. Ji-Young waited for Hyun-Min at a bus stop where cherry bloomed when she was alive. They beat the drum and they expressed each other’s loves.

Ji-Young still stays at the bus stop when she was dying. She hits the bench with her nails because of her endless love to her boyfriend. She tried her best to speak in the life and death realm. Unfortunately, the dying Hyun-Min loses his memories.

He gets off the bus. But he never remembers his girlfriend. His back is broken when he walks because of the accident. Ji-Young sews his boyfriend’s back for helping him. It’s the last time she stays in the life and death realm.

The mortician finds out that he cannot open the refrigerated cabinet which stores Ji-Young’s body. He knows the girl doesn’t want to pass away because she has a lot of regrets. Hyun-Min hangs in there because of Ji-Young’s love.

Ji-Young isn’t the only one who has wishes. Hye-Won has a wish as well. She hugged Sun-Hae tightly for protecting her when the accident happened. Sun-Hae regains her memories after she saw the bulb. She remembers she and her girlfriend’s love and fight. She cries on the dark rainy day in the end.

Hyun-Ju is trapped in the alley. Her mother Yoo-Hee asked her to go to buy bulb after they moved into the apartment. But Yoo-Hee never mentioned the reason why she told her to do that. Hyun-Ju was angry to complain it to Yoo-Hee that the road to the light shop is too scary.

She cried to ask her why she told her to buy the useless bulb. Hyun-Ju don’t know the bulb is her life. Her mother wishes to save the daughter who’s in a coma after a car accident. Sung-Sik is lost as well. He takes shelter from the rain in the store. The store owner gives him a strange feelings.

It’s stopped raining. Sung-Sik leaves the shop. He arrives at a school. He sees a name from the locker. His memory comes back. His wife was pregnant. But they found out that the baby passed away in the mother’s belly. His wife was sad. He felt guilty as well.

He thought he didn’t take care of his wife well because of his work. He runs in the alley to look for his wife. But he cannot find the wife he loves deeply. He also cannot leave the weird alley. He lights a cigarette and he finds out that the lighter was fixed. He notes that his shadow is weird on the wall.

Episode 6 of Light Shop ends with Sung-Sik returning to the store. Won-Young prepares a hot coffee for Sung-Sik. Sung-Sik drinks up the hot coffee. He doesn’t feel hot. He notes that the night of the store doesn’t end. Won-Young takes off his sunglasses. He shows his eyes to Sung-Sik.
