Seung-Won returns to the alley in Light Shop Episode 8 after he helped the boy leave. He visits the apartment of Sun-Hae. He apologizes to Hye-Won. She forgives him because she knows he’s a poor man. He claims that he will continue to look for the living people.
Seung-Won plans to take the living people to the light shop. Hye-Won reveals there’re living people in the buildings nearby the alley. He thanks her and he runs into Yoo-Hee outside the building. He mistakes that she’s alive. But he finds out that she only knows to nod.
He realizes that she’s dead and she walked out of the building for saving the person she cannot give up. Yoo-Hee runs to the light shop. She cannot make voice because her mouth is stuffed by cotton. She has to hand over her daughter’s bracelet to Won-Young. He knows she came to take the bulb for her daughter Hyun-Ju.
Hyun-Ju refused to come to the store because she had a fight with Yoo-Hee. Won-Young shakes his head. He tells Yoo-Hee that Hyun-Ju needs to take the bulb herself. She’s anxious to grab his collar. She yells at him. He takes off his sunglasses. He shows his eyes to her.
She’s shocked when she sees his eyes. She grabs the candies and she puts one of the candies into his mouth. He realizes that she was his daughter who fed him the candy. She was alive because of the deal he made with Seo-Ryung. He has endured the loneliness for many years. He’s reunited with his daughter in the end. He cries to hug his lover who he did everything to protect.
Seung-Won runs into Hyun-Ju outside the building. He reminds her her situation. She realizes that she’s a dying person. He tells her that her mother tried her best for helping her return to the world of living. Yoo-Hee takes her daughter’s bulb home.
Won-Young broke the rule. He gave the bulb to Yoo-Hee because Yoo-Hee is the daughter he loves most. Yoo-Hee tries to put the bulb into Hyun-Ju’s hand. But Hyun-Ju refuses to accept it when she cries. She doesn’t want to leave her mother and she wants to live with her mother.
Yoo-Hee cries. She doesn’t want to leave her daughter as well. But she wishes her daughter to live well. Hyun-Ju wakes up from the bed in the end because of the last light her mother gave to her. His father takes her to the school one month later. He smiles to cheer her up.
The living Hyun-Ju tries herself to get along with her classmates. But she remembers everything that happened in the building. She remembers what her mother did for her. She refused to accept the treatment after she woke up because she didn’t want to forget her mother.
Yoo-Hee comes to the light shop every night. She talks with his father and she laughs with him. Eating the candies she loves most and watching the white snow in winter. Sun-Hae cries to go out after Hye-Won convinced her. She arrives at the light shop and she recognizes her bulb.
Sun-Hae regains consciousness in the ward when she touches the bulb. But she passes away. She broke the bulb for living together with her girlfriend. The house isn’t scary to Sun-Hae anymore. Everyday with her girlfriend is peaceful and beautiful even if she dies.
Someone cannot give up her obsession when Sun-Hae chooses her journey home. Ji-Young is dead. But she still tries to sew her boyfriend’s back. Hyun-Min’s back is fixed. He climbs out of the suitcase. He stands up. Ji-Young cries to get on the bus in the evening.
She asks Hyun-Min why he forgets her. She thinks he doesn’t love her anymore. He knows the truth after she reminded him. She tells him to go to the light shop to look for his bulb. He hugs her for the last time. He cries to reach the store.
He finds the bulb with his instinct and his willpower. Ji-Young finds out that her boyfriend’s light is on. She cries harder. She cannot forget the boyfriend who abandoned her living. Hyun-Min wakes up after he found his bulb. But he keeps seeing the scenes. The doctor persuades him to forget it.
He’s heartless to throw his girlfriend’s phone into the river. He plans to go to work for the peaceful life. He returns home. The female ghost tangles him. Ji-Young couldn’t let it go that her boyfriend forgot her. She turned into a female ghost and she gave him a hard time.
The old man delivers a box of bulbs that symbolizes lives to Won-Young. Won-Young knows the owners of the bulbs will wander at the place. The dead bus driver Seung-Won will stay at the place forever. He continues to drive bus for sending away the dead souls.
The man who wanders in the dark hears the song in the ward because of Young-Ji’s efforts. The man follows the sound and he finds a way out. He comes back to life. The cop who woke up comes to the restaurant. He meets with the suspect Sang-Hoon.
He knows Sang-Hoon isn’t a suspect after he had a talk with Won-Young. He learns that the guy is the messenger who guided him to find the shop. The messenger is dead. The cop knows Sang-Hoon sacrificed himself for saving him. The messenger tells the cop that his existence is for the order.
His mission is for sending away the people who shouldn’t stay in the world of living. He has chased the woman who died in the fire. The woman doesn’t know she’s dead. He went to see the old man for buying him a bowl of noodles. Sang-Hoon notes that the cop’s eyes are very sharp. He wishes him to take over his job.
The episode ends with the cop accepting the job. He wears Sang-Hoon’s sunglasses. He becomes a soul messenger. Young-Ji is tangled by the ghost who’s with resentment. The cop shows up. He takes off his sunglasses. He asks the ghost to leave with him.
