This is the recap for K-Drama Jirisan: Episode 2. The hiker walks in the woods. Someone takes off the ribbon from the tree after the hiker left. He ties the ribbon on another tree. The old man shows up. He takes the wrong path because of the ribbon on the tree. The person follows him.
Jirisan: Episode 2 Recap

Yi-Gang visits Woong-Soon when he’s working. He stands up because he was surprised to see her. He brings the tea to her. She takes out the papers and asks him about it. He takes a look at the file and recognizes the dead Geun-Tak. She asks him about the ribbon.
Woong-Soon laughs. He tells Yi-Gang that he cannot step in the case because his level is very low. He asks her if she found something. She stares at him. Da-Won gets off the elevator. She bumps the door of the elevator by mistake because she didn’t sleep well last night. She ties up her hair and walks into the office.
Da-Won is surprised to see the papers on the table. Goo-Young shows up behind her. He praises Yi-Gang. Da-Won asks Goo-Young to take a look at the papers. She brings up that he can only complete it within a month but Yi-Gang did it just one night. She goes to look for Yi-Gang.
Yi-Gang watches the footage of Jirisan. Dae-Jin shows up behind her. He takes her to outside. She tells him that she wants to know who left mark. But he thinks it’s a coincidence. She doesn’t think so. He asks her if she did that for Hyun-Jo.
Dae-Jin asks Yi-Gang why she and Hyun-Jo visited Jirisan when it snowed. He thinks something happened to the two. She denies and explains that they intended to guard Jirisan.
Hyun-Jo packs his stuff and leaves his room. He greets Il-Hae who’s cooking noodles. Il-Hae thinks Hyun-Jo wants to visit Jirisan. Hyun-Jo explains that he wants to train himself there. But Il-Hae points out that Hyun-Jo can choose another mountain because it’s closer than Jirisan.
Goo-Young shows up. He tells Il-Hae not to eat the unhealthy food. He takes the supplement. Hyun-Jo stares at Goo-Young so that Goo-Young gives his supplement to Hyun-Jo. Hyun-Jo runs away. Goo-Young eats Il-Hae’s noodles. It makes Il-Hae angry.
Hyun-Jo rides the bicycle and goes to Jirisan. He walks in the woods and picks up a pair of glasses. He puts the glasses into his bag. He arrives at the peak and looks around. He takes out the water bottle and drinks the water inside the water bottle. He sees something. He’s shocked and the water bottle drops.
Yi-Gang entertains the guests. She complains that her grandma Moon-Ok doesn’t come to help her when she’s cooking pie. Moon-Ok drinks with Yi-Gang’s colleagues. She thinks Yi-Gang gave the colleagues the hard time. Goo-Young agrees to what Moon-Ok said. He thinks Yi-Gang is very obstinate.
Moon-Ok reveals Yi-Gang didn’t get hurt after she was hit. She adds that she ran to Jirisan. Yi-Gang shows up behind Moon-Ok. She yells at her and makes her turn around. Moon-Ok yells Yi-Gang back, asking for pies. Goo-Young agrees to what Moon-Ok said. But he gets scolded by Yi-Gang. Dae-Jin shows up. He wants to eat the pie as well. Yi-Gang smiles and goes to the kitchen to cook pie.
Yi-Gang gets a call from Hyun-Jo who asks her about the ribbon. She remembers the stuff is used by bad hikers. She tells the place to him. So he hangs up and goes to the area. Hyun-Jo walks in the misty woods. Gi-Chang shows up and startles Hyun-Jo. He asks him why he tailed him.
Hyun-Jo asks Gi-Chang if he’s allowed to walk in the woods. Gi-Chang talks back that it’s his freedom. Hyun-Jo shows his certificate to Gi-Chang, and introduces himself as a ranger. He intends to take him to leave Jirisan. Gi-Chang rejects it and tries to walk away.
Hyun-Jo stops Gi-Chang. He tells him that he will report it to the police if he doesn’t explain why he walked in the woods alone. Gi-Chang has to give his bag to Hyun-Jo. He tells him that he looked for his missing dad in the woods.
Hyun-Jo visits Yi-Gang’s house. But the door is closed. He tries to call her. She doesn’t pick up his phone. The ranger drives by. He gives Hyun-Jo a ride. Goo-Young stares at Yang-Sun when she serves the guests. Dae-Jin notes it. He asks Goo-Young why he did that. Goo-Young explains that he’s waiting for the dish. The ranger takes Hyun-Jo to the gathering. Hyun-Jo sees the photos so that he asks the ranger about it. The ranger reveals there was a flood in Jirisan. He adds that the flood killed many people.
It flashes back. The rangers carry the dead bodies to the hall. They place it on the floor. The people cry in front of the dead bodies. Yi-Gang is shocked when she sees the scene. Her father is in the dead bodies. Moon-Ok is sad to cry.
Yi-Gang sits in Jirisan. Hyun-Jo finds her. He tells her that the place was told by Moon-Ok, asking her if the place is the area she ran away from school. She admits that she fled because she wanted to disappear. She tells him not to comfort her, and thinks the dead people should be remembered.
Hyun-Jo tells Yi-Gang that there’s a person who’s look for his dad. He hands over the papers to her. He tells her that he wants to help the guy. But she asks him to drop it. So he confessed that the mark in the cave helped him find the kid. He adds that she spotted it again. But she mistakes that he’s drunk. So he sees her off.
Hyun-Jo visits Gi-Chang and asks him where his dad disappeared. Gi-Chang tells the place to Hyun-Jo. Hyun-Jo intends to go to the place. Gi-Chang wants to join Hyun-Jo. But Hyun-Jo rejects it because Gi-Chang isn’t allow to go to the area. Gi-Chang cries to tell Hyun-Jo that he wants to take a look at the point that his dad passed away.
Hee-Won is shocked to find out that she wins a prize in a lottery when she holds the lottery ticket. But the lottery ticket flies away. Goo-Young goes to the convenience store, trying to enjoy the noodles. But he gets a call from someone.
Hee-Won drags Il-Hae out of the house, asking him for looking for the lottery ticket for her. But he rejects it because he thinks it’s not his duty. But the hikers run away after they heard the amount of the money. Yi-Gang gets off her car and runs into Goo-Young. She asks him about their new task. She’s told that the task is about lottery ticket.
Il-Hae tries to stop the hikers from climbing over the fence but they ignore him. Yi-Gang joins Il-Hae. She sees the hiker getting into water to look for the the lottery ticket. Il-Hae complains that the hikers bring trouble when they’re busy. Goo-Young laughs. He admits that he would do the same thing like the hiker.

Yi-Gang shows off the lottery ticket, telling the hikers that she got it. Il-Hae is happy to join Yi-Gang. She hands over the lottery ticket to him. But he finds out that it’s just a bill. He puts the bill into his pocket after she hinted him.
Yi-Gang wonders why Hyun-Jo didn’t take part in the task. The ranger tells her that Hyun-Jo went to Mujin Valley. She remembers what Hyun-Jo told her that he saw something. Hyun-Jo and Gi-Chang arrive at the cliff. Gi-Chang reveals his father took his life there because of the money. Hyun-Jo comforts Gi-Chang. He takes off his bag.
Goo-Young visits Woong-Soon. The police officer hands over the coffee to Goo-Young. Goo-Young rejects it and asks for ice water. He thinks the police officer is a newbie after he left. He complains that the newbies are everywhere. Woong-Soon mentions Hyun-Jo. Goo-Young tells Woong-Soon that he’s more handsome than Hyun-Jo. It makes Woong-Soon laugh.
Yi-Gang walks into the police station. She asks Woong-Soon if he remembers Sang-Gyu. She tells him that the old man’s son is looking for him. But she’s told that Sang-Gyu only has a daughter. Gi-Chang points at the point that Sang-Gyu took his life to Hyun-Jo. Hyun-Jo hands over the instrument to Gi-Chang, telling him to go to the place alone.
Gi-Chang leaves. Hyun-Jo throws away the rope from the cliff. He goes down Jirisan in the rope’s help. He spots a tree. Yi-Gang visits Sang-Gyu’s house. She walks into the house after nobody replied her. She sees a big tree. Young-Mi shows up behind Yi-Gang. Yi-Gang hands over her business card to Young-Mi.
Yi-Gang thinks the tree is stolen by Young-Mi’s dad. She asks her why she didn’t report it to them. Young-Mi cries to tell Yi-Gang that her father was forced to do that, and he worried that he would get arrested. Yi-Gang asks Young-Mi who told Sang-Gyu to do that.
Gi-Chang reports to Hyun-Jo that he found nothing. He hands over the GPS to him. The two climb Jirisan. Yi-Gang calls Hyun-Jo. But he doesn’t pick up her phone. She remembers what Young-Mi told her that Gi-Chang is a bad person.
Hyun-Jo tries to take Gi-Chang to go down Jirisan. Gi-Chang stops Hyun-Jo. He thinks he wants to take him to see police. He yells at him and asks for the GPS. Hyun-Jo shows the driver’s license to Gi-Chang. He reveals he found it from the cliff.
Gi-Chang admits that he killed Sang-Gyu. He pulls out a knife and stabs Hyun-Jo. He takes away his GPS. Hyun-Jo walks in the woods when he’s bleeding. He puts his hand on the rock because she’s very tired. He remembers that he saw the scene before. He stabs the twig on the ground.
Gi-Chang cannot leave the woods even if he has the GPS. He’s irradiated by someone. We find out that it’s Yi-Gang. She tells her identity to him. He puts the GPS into his pocket, telling her that he’s a hiker who was lost. But she mentions he fooled Hyun-Jo. He learns that she’s the partner of Hyun-Jo, thinking she cannot deal with him alone.
Yi-Gang tells Gi-Chang that she’s not like Hyun-Jo. The rangers surround Gi-Chang. Yi-Gang found Hyun-Jo, trying to wake him up. But she failed so that she called her colleagues. She found the twig Hyun-Jo left.
Yi-Gang goes to the hospital to see Hyun-Jo. She cuts the apple and tells him that he was saved because of her. But he points out that she wouldn’t find him without the help of the twig. He tells her that he was asked not to eat when she stabs the apple with the fork. So she eats the apple alone.
Yi-Gang leaves the ward and goes to Jirisan. She hears the crying of a girl. She turns around and sees Hee-Won. Hee-Won cries and asks for a help. Yi-Gang binds up Hee-Won’s leg, thinking she went to Jirisan because of the lottery ticket. She tells her that she will get killed if she continues to do that.
Hee-Won tells Yi-Gang that she needs money. Yi-Gang walks in the woods. She finds the dead body of Sang-Gyu. Young-Mi cries when her dad’s body is taken away. Yi-Gang spots it and remembers she tore up after knowing her father passed away. She hands over Sang-Gyu’s bag to Young-Mi. Young-Mi hugs the bag. Woong-Soon takes the girl away. Yi-Gang sees them off.
Da-Won brings the bread to Yi-Gang. She’s surprised that she knows her name. She tells her that she’s her idol. She tries to help her after knowing she’s looking for the mark. She realizes that she said it too much. She tries to leave. Yi-Gang tells Da-Won to do the mark when she does the task. She hands over the note to her.
Yi-Gang sees Da-Won off when she leaves with Goo-Young. Da-Won sees Yi-Gang. She smiles to wave to her. Yi-Gang returns to the office. She runs into Dae-Jin. He tells her to go to another department. He promises to complete the task for her.
Goo-Young takes photos of Jirisan. He takes a break. Da-Won spots the rock and walks to the point. She makes a mark there.
