It’s Okay to Not Be Okay begins with Kang-Tae surprised that Moon-Young visits him as he told her not to see her again. But she doesn’t want to give up, and intends to get him. Ji-Wang hears that Moon-Young came, and asks her to be teacher. He tells her to take Dae-Hwan to take a walk after the class.
Moon-Young ignores Ji-Wang’s advice and leaves. Soon-Duk thinks Moon-Young won’t agree to it. But Ji-Wang thinks there is something in the hospital attracting Moon-Young, and he believes that she will agree to it.
Moon-Young breaks into men locker room and asks him to have dinner together when he is getting changed. Joo-Ri runs into the two, and she is in jealousy after knowing Moon-Young knew Kang-Tae. She runs into Kang-Tae again in the convenience store. He tells her that he and Moon-Young aren’t in love. Joo-Ri feels happy.
Kang-Tae eats with Joo-Ri’s family. Her mom likes him and treats him as son-in-law. But Kang-Tae is upset and cannot sleep.
Moon-Young drives to her old house which is built by Dae-Hwan for her birth. But the house becomes ghost house after her mom passed away and Dae-Hwan was sick.
Moon-Young doesn’t fear at all and takes out the spell Ji-Wang gave her. But she is startled by her mom in the dream, and senses that Kang-Tae comes to comfort her. She uses the butterfly comforting skill to calm herself down.
Jae-Soo opens a pizza shop and asks Sang-Tae for drawing for customers. Sang-Tae agrees to it for the money and he doesn’t tell it to Kang-Tae. Kang-Tae takes Sang-Tae to see Ji-Wang. Ji-Wang gives Sang-Tae a special prescription which asks Sang-Tae to draw the beautiful scenery of the hospital on the wall. Sang-Tae agrees to it after knowing that he will get paid.
Kang-Tae sees Sang-Tae putting the money in the piggy bank, and wonders why he wants to save money. Sang-Tae says that he wants to buy camping car so that she won’t move out because of butterfly. Kang-Tae is moved to hug Sang-Tae.
Moon-Young accepts Ji-Wang’s advice to take class for the patients. But what she said stuns the patients. Kang-Tae tells Moon-Young that she isn’t welcomed. She talks back that he is so different than the one in her dream, and asks him if he wants to sleep with her.
Kang-Tae takes Moon-Young to leave the people. But she thinks he is hypocrisy. The nurse reminds Moon-Young that it’s time to take her dad for a walk. But Moon-Young rejects it.
The patient Gi-Do runs away from OK Psychiatric Hospital, and runs into Moon-Young. Moon-Young gives him a ride. Kang-Tae knows what happened, and drives Joo-Ri to chase Moon-Young.
Gi-Do’s dad Man-Su is doing the election in his family’s help. Moon-Young provokes Gi-Do to tell people that he gets the illness because his families ignored and shamed him.
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay ends with Gi-Do’s speech giving Kang-Tae same feelings. He wants to tell people what he thinks in Moon-Young’s help.
