Itaewon Class: Episode 4 Recap

This is the recap for Korean drama Itaewon Class: Episode 4. Yi-Seo tells Sae-Ro-Yi that he’s over if his shop is closed. He thinks it’s nothing because he can open another pub again. Geun-Won shows up and praises Sae-Ro-Yi. He asks him if he thinks he killed his father.

Geun-Won laughs to admit that he did that. He thinks he ruined his life. Sae-Ro-Yi stares at Geun-Won. Geun-Won leans his head on Sae-Ro-Yi’s chest and tells him to beat him. Sae-Ro-Yi doesn’t do that even if he grabs his fist tightly.

Geun-Won tells Sae-Ro-Yi to be patient if he wants to keep the store. He touches his shoulder. Sae-Ro-Yi holds Geun-Won’s hands and tells him that he has endured it for seven years. He adds that he will keep on doing that. He walks away after hurting his arm.

Geun-Soo runs with Yi-Seo. He asks her if Sae-Ro-Yi’s store is going to be closed. But she asks him when he and Sae-Ro-Yi became friends. He thinks Sae-Ro-Yi was right that they’re kids who cannot take responsibility. He adds that he wasn’t furious when he was told about the punishment. She tells him that Sae-Ro-Yi only thinks about himself.

Yi-Seo is writing the letter of apology. But she draws Sae-Ro-Yi on the letter. Seung-Kwon keeps hitting the table with his head. He remembers what Sae-Ro-Yi said that it’s their fault.

8 Years Ago

Seung-Kwon pays his respect to Hee-Hoon. The follower thinks Seung-Kwon is very smart. Hee-Hoon tells Sae-Ro-Yi to take care of Seung-Kwon. But Sae-Ro-Yi rejects it as he’s reading Dae-Hee’s book.

Seung-Kwon walks Hee-Hoon and asks him about Sae-Ro-Yi. He thinks Sae-Ro-Yi is rude to him. Hee-Hoon laughs and tells Seung-Kwon not to have a fight with Sae-Ro-Yi because he doesn’t belong to them. Seung-Kwon agrees to it and asks Sae-Ro-Yi why he ignores him. Sae-Ro-Yi says that he’s reading the book, and wants to learn something from it.

But Seung-Kwon thinks reading book is a wast of time because they own nothing. He reminds him that nobody will hire an ex-convict. But Sae-Ro-Yi tells Seung-Kwon to give it a try before deciding. Seung-Kwon doesn’t feel good for what Sae-Ro-Yi said, and thinks he tried to teach him how to do things.

Sae-Ro-Yi denies and tells Seung-Kwon that he just doesn’t want him to force him to understand his logic. Seung-Kwon is furious to grab Sae-Ro-Yi’s collar. He tells him that he is also a loser like him. Sae-Ro-Yi calls Seung-Kwon loser. So Seung-Kwon beats Sae-Ro-Yi.

Seung-Kwon is stopped by the police when he is trying to kick Sae-Ro-Yi. Sae-Ro-Yi gets up and tells Seung-Kwon that he will begin from the fishing job. He yells at him that his life just begins.

Hee-Hoon takes Seung-Kwon to see Sae-Ro-Yi. Seung-Kwon is shocked that Sae-Ro-Yi opened a pub. Sae-Ro-Yi welcomes Seung-Kwon.

Seung-Kwon drinks in Sae-Ro-Yi’s pub. Sae-Ro-Yi wonders why Seung-Kwon keeps visiting his place. Seung-Kwon asks Sae-Ro-Yi if he’s not allowed to do that. Sae-Ro-Yi denies and thinks Seung-Kwon helped him increase his sales. Seung-Kwon asks Sae-Ro-Yi why he’s so busy since there’s no customers. He tells him to join him.

Seung-Kwon tells Sae-Ro-Yi that he wants to live like him. Sae-Ro-Yi remembers what Seung-Kwon said to him. He asks him if he’s still a moron. Seung-Kwon is drunk to fall asleep.

Seung-Kwon keeps slapping himself and feels guilty. Hyun-Yi spots it and asks Sae-Ro-Yi what happened on Seung-Kwon. Geun-Won plays chess with Dae-Hee and tells him to be careful of Min-Jung. Because the woman is meeting with shareholders. Dae-Hee rejects it because Min-Jung is like his daughter and he has his plan.

Geun-Won tells Dae-Hee that Geun-Soo was caught in Sae-Ro-Yi’s store. He thinks Sae-Ro-Yi is over, and wins Dae-Hee. Dae-Hee thinks Geun-Won became a nice son, and feels sorry for hurting Sae-Ro-Yi. Geun-Won laughs and thinks Sae-Ro-Yi isn’t good at running business.

Dae-Hee asks Mr. Kim about Geun-Soo. Geun-Soo works hard for the boss. But the boss intends to fire him. Hyun-Yi asks Seung-Kwon if he knows he ruined their business when Sae-Ro-Yi is singing and dancing. He admits it and apologizes to Sae-Ro-Yi. Sae-Ro-Yi pours the wine for Seung-Kwon and tells him to improve himself. He offers to go to another karaoke room. But Seung-Kwon rejects it.

Sae-Ro-Yi visits Seok-Cheon’s bar. He sees Soo-A playing dart with two guys. Seok-Cheon thinks Sae-Ro-Yi is unlucky after knowing what happened on his store. Soo-A shows up and blames Seok-Cheon for mentioning it. He reveals that he was furious after knowing someone reported Sae-Ro-Yi.

Sae-Ro-Yi says that it will be past after some time. Seok-Cheon is surprised that Sae-Ro-Yi is so positive, and promises to give him wine for free. Soo-A wants to get free drinks as well. But he rejects it and claims that he only give free drinks to guys.

The guy reminds Yi-Seo that her friends are drunk, and tells her to order some ice cream. The guy’s friend agrees to it and promises to take care of Yi-Seo’s friends. But Yi-Seo intends to leave and reminds the guy that her friend’s father is a police.

Soo-A mentions Sae-Ro-Yi liked her when they were in high school. He tells her that he still likes her. But she thinks he’s drunk and he never asked her out. She asks him if he’s playing with her. He tells her that he doesn’t dare to ask her out because his business doesn’t run well.

Soo-A comforts Sae-Ro-Yi that she will help him even if she’s jobless. The guy follows Yi-Seo and asks her if she likes him. She tells him that she doesn’t like him, and intends to leave. But he stops her and asks her why she drank with them. He complains that she made them to pay. She laughs and casts the cashes to him.

The guy is furious to give Yi-Seo a slap. He tells her that nobody will help her. But she says that she will help herself. It makes him give her another slap. But she stops him and carries him to make him fall to the ground.
