This is the recap for Fireworks of My Heart Episode 38. Song Yan reminds Zhai Miao that the time won’t come back even if she has resentment. But she points out that the injury is there. She blames him for forgiving Meng family. He denies it and he reveals he doesn’t wish Meng family to apologize to him.
Song Yan claims that he won’t forgive Meng family even if they apologize. But he doesn’t have resentment and he doesn’t want to go to take revenge. Because he doesn’t want to live in the resentment. He tells Zhai Miao to go to do the thing she should do. He thinks he will have a good future.
He asks her to let the past go and he tells her not to hate Meng family. She agrees to it because the one who wasted ten years isn’t her. She promises to give out the evidence. But she asks him not to care what she’s going to do.
She tries to leave the rooftop. He takes her arm and he stops her. He asks her not to hurt others. She shakes off his hands when she thinks she doesn’t need him to teach her what to do. She returns to her room. Xiao Yixiao returns to Meng family. He reports to Fu Wenying that he found the witness.
He reveals the person has a footage to prove that Meng Yanchen was wronged. She wants to give some money to the person. But she’s told that the person doesn’t need money. Zhai Miao cleans the floor in her house. Fu Wenying and Master Meng visit her.
She lets the two in. Fu Wenying asks Zhai Miao what she wants to get. Master Meng tells Zhai Miao that they wish her to help them resolve the problem. He admits that they did something wrong. He wants to make up for it. Fu Wenying tells Zhai Miao to attack her if Zhai Miao wants to take revenge.
She thinks her son is innocent. She complains it to her that her classmates wronged Meng Yanchen. She thinks she should understand their feelings. Zhai Miao admits it. She asks Fu Wenying is she thought about Song Yan’s family’s feelings when she wronged Song Yan.
She complains it to her that they have tasted it for many years. She mentions Song Yan and her parents didn’t tell Meng Yanchen and Xu Qin the real looks of Fu Wenying and Master Meng. She claims that she cannot endure it. Fu Wenying promises to work with Zhai Miao.
Zhai Miao mentions her father got on knees to Fu Wenying for Song Yan. She asks Fu Wenying to pay the knees back. She claims that she can accept it because she does it for her family. Fu Wenying tries to get on knees to Zhai Miao. But her husband stops her. He tries to do it.
She cries to stop him. He claims that it’s not a big case. She thinks she should do it because she was the one who hurt Song Yan. She holds his hand tightly and she tries to get on knees to Zhai Miao. Zhai Miao stops Fu Wenying. She thinks she cannot get along with Xu Qin if she accepts the knees. She tells Fu Wenying that her son doesn’t have to take the duty if she did it.
Fu Wenying arrives at the police station with Master Meng. He accompanies her to walk into the station. She tells the cop that she came to turn herself in. She runs into Meng Yanchen in the police station. She beats him and she’s furious to tell him to go to die.
She cries and she mentions she thought he’s a good kid. She doesn’t expect that he did such a thing to force her. She blames him. He apologizes it to her. But he thinks she should take the duty because she made mistakes. He decides to take the duty if she doesn’t do that.
She thinks he wants to force her to death. He denies it and he reveals he feels painful. Xu Qin shows up with Master Meng. Fu Wenying takes a look at Xu Qin. She thinks everyone thinks she’s evil. She tells her kids that they’re free. She leaves with the policewoman.
Ye Zi is in the interrogation room. She tears up. The cop puts the handcuffs on her. He takes her away. The two cops walk out of the police station. They tell the students that Ye Zi wronged Meng Yanchen. The students blame Ye Zi. They leave the police station.
Meng Yanchen is released. Xu Qin wants to buy him a meal. But he lets her leave because he has a business to deal with. She reminds him that everyone should take duty for what she did. He joins the cop and he asks for seeing Ye Zi.
The cop claims that only lawyer can see the girl. Meng Yanchen offers not to ask for Ye Zi’s duty. He thinks he can see the girl. Xu Qin walks out of the police station. Meng Yanchen is waiting for her. She runs into his arms. She cries.
He asks her about her older brother. She tells him that Meng Yanchen is fine. He holds her face and he wonders why she keeps crying. He tells her to leave with him. But she turns around and she looks at the police station. It seems that she worries about Meng Yanchen.
Meng Yanchen walks into the cell to see Ye Zi. She thinks he came to show his mercy to the bad girl. He thinks she didn’t have to do so if she wanted to get money. She cries to ask him if he thinks she should thank him for throwing some trash cash to her.
He thinks she knows he didn’t mean it. She laughs to ask him if he thinks she can only talk about money with him. She thinks she had a sin to love him because she’s poor. She asks him why he flirted with her since he didn’t fall for her.
She mentions the one who recommended a job to her was him. She adds that the one who asked her to accompany him to the concert was him. She reminds him that it was him who worried that she will go to have a plastic surgery. He explains it to her that he just didn’t wish her to take a wrong path.
She claims that she doesn’t need his alms and she thinks he’s not her savior. He tells her that he just wished her to live better. She laughs and she learns that he didn’t wish to see her suffering. She mentions her world was dim and there was a light cast into her room.
Ye Zi reveals she heart was bright. She thinks she did nothing wrong to approach the light. She asks Meng Yanchen what she is in his heart. She asks him if she’s a nasty moth. He reveals he won’t ask her for her duty. She asks him if he thinks he’s a saint. She reveals she wished to see his dark side. He leaves the cell. She yells at him and she blames him.
The cop arrests the dean in the hospital. The dean Dean Liu is taken away. The nurses talk about Dean Liu in the lobby. One of the nurses reveals the guy broke the law. Xu Qin overhears it. Master Meng and Lawyer Guo are in the cop’s office. Cop Huang brings a good news to the two that they decided to release Fu Wenying because she turned herself in.
Fu Wenying is in the ward. She lies in the bed. Meng Yanchen accompanies his mother. But she ignores him. Xu Qin passes by the ward. She tries to open the door of the ward. But she sees her father. She’s startled to run away. Master Meng sees his daughter. He opens the door and he walks into the ward.
He lets Meng Yanchen leave. He sits on the bed. Fu Wenying praises Zhai Miao. She claims that she won’t accept Song Yan even if the girl helped Meng Yanchen. Master Meng reminds his wife that Xu Qin won’t break up with Song Yan. But she thinks the two families cannot be one family because there were many things happening to them.
Master Meng reveals he knew what his wife did. He confesses it to Fu Wenying that he didn’t stop her because he knew it will bring benefits to him. He thinks she became a bad person and he got the reputation. He thinks it wasn’t right.
He tells her that it wasn’t her mistake alone. He asks her not to step in the resentment. She cries and he comforts her. Meng Yanchen and Xu Qin are on the rooftop in the hospital. Xu Qin thinks Meng Yanchen heard what she said that night.
He thinks she won’t come home. She thinks he shouldn’t use the method to hurt their parents’ hearts even if their parents did something wrong. She reminds him that his life would be ruined if there wasn’t a witness. She thinks he shouldn’t do that.
He reveals he just didn’t want to do anything at that time. She thinks their parents let him down. But there’s no perfect person. She thinks he was too strict to let them not make mistake. But he tells her to use the words to persuade herself.
He asks her if she hates his family. She thinks she’s not qualified to hate them. She reveals she just feels sad for Song Yan. Meng Yanchen realizes why Xu Qin chose Song Yan after so long. He thinks Song Yan was firm enough and he never gave up Xu Qin. He thinks Xu Qin will only get together with Song Yan even if they suffered so much. Xu Qin begs Meng Yanchen to live for himself.
Zhai Miao returns to the dormitory with the roommates. She sees Ye Zi. The roommate blames Ye Zi for coming back. She complains it to her friend that Ye Zi treated them as tools. The friend persuades Zhai Miao to go to have meal with her.
Zhai Miao rejects it. The roommate throws a fit to Zhai Miao. She thinks she was miserable to maintain the social media. Ye Zi tears up. She feels guilty. The roommates leave the dormitory. Ye Zi decides to leave the school. She packs her stuff.
She apologizes to Zhai Miao for making her lose her social media. She thinks she doesn’t have a future. Zhai Miao tells Ye Zi not to look down on herself. Ye Zi nods. Zhai Miao wonders if Ye Zi will blame her. Ye Zi tells Zhai Miao that she was happy that she told the truth. She thinks she wouldn’t have a chance to turn around if Zhai Miao didn’t do that. She tells her that she treated her as her friend. She leaves the dormitory.
Xu Qin goes to the restaurant. Master Meng is waiting for her. He gives the food to her when he mentions her mother will return home. He asks her to go to see her mother. He persuades her that her mother would do anything for her if the case happened to her.
He admits that they’re not good parents. He thinks they considered benefits more than their children’s loves. But he wants to let her know that they treated her and Meng Yanchen same. Xu Qin wonders if her mother would care for her when she felt painful like Meng Yanchen.
She mentions Fu Wenying blamed her for hurting parents for a man. But she thinks Fu Wenying didn’t realize that she was hurting her when she hurt the man she loves. She cries. She tells Master Meng that she cannot let Song Yan’s case go.
He reminds her that they’re family. He persuades her to resolve the problem together. But she thinks they cannot return a future to Song Yan. She reveals Song Yan didn’t leak the case. She thinks her lover forgave Meng family. She asks him if he wishes the guy to eat with him for her.
She thinks they cannot resolve the problem through eating. She claims that she doesn’t want to face the case and she doesn’t want to cry. Master Meng decides not to mention the case. He walks out of the restaurant with Xu Qin. He volunteers to send her to the hospital. But she rejects it.
He asks her to let him know if she decides the wedding date. She nods. He gets in the car and he leaves. Xu Qin walks into her mother’s ward. She’s told that her mother left the hospital. It’s raining. Xu Qin and Song Yan’s room leaks.
The couples are in the room. But they’re very happy. Xu Qin puts her head on Song Yan’s shoulder. The rain stops. Song Yan and Uncle Song go to the rooftop to fix the rooftop. Aunt Song asks Song Yan to take care of her husband because her husband doesn’t have a good sight.
Uncle Song teases Aunt Song that she looked down on him because he’s aged. She blames him and she thinks the house will be sea view house if he doesn’t fix the leaks. But Song Yan thinks his house is better than sea view house. Xu Qin agrees to what Song Yan said. She comes to the rooftop to help him and Uncle Song.
Song Yan and Uncle Song are in the garden. Uncle Song asks Song Yan about his house. Song Yan reveals he’s going to complete the house within two days. Uncle Song goes to help his wife. Xu Qin goes downstairs with the clothes. She intends to do the laundry. Song Yan takes over the clothes. He volunteers to do the laundry.
Jiang Yu follows Li Meng out of the fire station. He gives the plant to her. He asks her to water it. He runs away before she rejects him. She takes a look at the plant. She smiles to leave. Master Meng visits Song family with the presents.
He sees Song Yan carrying Xu Qin to run. Xu Qin sees her father. She lets Song Yan drop her. She walks to her father and she asks him why he came to the place. Zhai Miao, Uncle Song and Aunt Song are busy in the kitchen. Zhai Miao asks her mother why Xu Qin and Song Yan don’t come back.

Aunt Song reveals Song Yan and Xu Qin promised to come back for dinner. Master Meng shows up with Song Yan and Xu Qin. Xu Qin introduces her father to Song family. Master Meng greets Song family. He tries to hand over the presents to Aunt Song. She takes over the presents. Uncle Song lets Master Mong have a seat. Aunt Song invites Master Meng to enjoy the dinner with them.
