In the second episode of Chinese drama Fighter of the Destiny, Chen Changsheng enters Shendu and saves his fiancee Xiu Yourong. While he decides to cancel his marriage, Madam Xu insults him and his teacher. He changed his previous plan.
Fighter of the Destiny Recap: Episode 2
Chen Changsheng (Lu Han) is going to leave, his teacher gives him an engagement. He asks his teacher why he didn’t tell him before. Shang Xingzhou reveals the girl’s grandfather arranged their marriage as he saved her, he forgot it while seeing he focuses on study. Chen Changsheng decides to cancel the engagement when he realize he cannot live out 20. Teacher thinks it’s his business and tells him Xu family is very famous in Shendu, he can ask them for help.
Xu Yourong (Guli Nazha) is attacked by Nan Ke (Yao Di) while playing zither. She is defeated by Nan Ke and flees. Chen Changsheng runs into her and gives her pills to cure poisoning. He negotiates with Nan Ke, but is hit by her. He saves Xu Yourong under Nan Ke via fixing formation. While Nan Ke is going to chase them, Qiushan Jun blocks her road.
Black Robes thinks Xu Yourong is handful as Qiushan Jun protects her and persuades Nan Ke to give up him as they come from different tribe. Nan Ke claims she can let him work for Demon tribe.
Qiushan Jun gives Xu Yourong astrolabe which he robbed from Nan Ke. She thanks him politely. He wants to treat the wound for her, but she reveals a little Taoist did it on her. He wants to thank the Taoist, she agrees.
Princess of the beast clan Bai Luoheng tries to flee from her uncle Jin Yulü. Jin Yulü tells her she needs to go Tiandao Academy as there is teacher can solve her best clan’s meridian problem. She doesn’t believe it as even if Empress Tian Hai cannot handle it. She wants to go neighbor, but he refuses it as there is a tough sword formation which left by previous pope.
Chen Changsheng orders a dish of dapeng bird’s wing, but only gets a chicken leg. He thinks he is cheated. Bai Luoheng takes him escaping from Jin Yulü after meeting in the restaurant. She orders him the best room in a hotel. He feels uncomfortable and checks his right arm after entering room.
Qiushan Jun jumps into cold lake to dig millennium lotus seed for Xu Yourong. She worries about him. The head royal attendant of the Empress Mo Yu visits Xu Yourong and knows Demon king’s daughter Nan Ke enters Shendu, she reports it to Divine Empress.

Chen Changsheng visits Xu family with engagement. Madam Xu thinks he isn’t match her daughter and disagrees their marriage. She even insults his teacher Shang Xingzhou. He changes his mind after hearing what Madam Xu said and refuses to return engagement.
Divine Empress is going to held grand examination. She asks Mo Yu who will win first test. Mo Yu thinks it’s Ya Er, but Divine Empress thinks her grandson cannot beat Qiushan Jun and Xu Yourong.
Tang Thirty-Six appears in the sky with wings, candidates look at him with surprise emotions. He throws lots of coins while landing. Everybody pick it on the ground except Chen Changsheng. Tang Thirty-Six thinks he is nice.
