San-Ha hugs Joo-Won in Family by Choice: Episode 12 after knowing she loves him as well. He promises to take care of everything for her. But he doesn’t have the guts to tell Hae-Joon that he and Joo-Won are in love. Joo-Won cannot sleep because of Hae-Joon’s kiss.
The next day. Joo-Won works at her store. San-Ha texts her that he will come. She dresses up. He comes to her store with the sandwich. He wipes off the cream off her mouth. He eats it. She gets angry because she worries that someone will catch them.
Their classmates Joon-Ho, Hui-Ju visit them with a new guy. The guy thinks San-Ha and Joo-Won are in love even if Joon-Ho and Hui-Ju introduced Joo-Won as San-Ha’s sister. Joo-Won drags San-Ha to the kitchen. She tells him not to make it too obvious in front of the stranger.
Jung-Jae and Dae-Wook are in the kitchen at the restaurant. Jung-Jae reveals he ran into Seo-Hyun. Seo-Hyun threatened to close her store if Jung-Jae arranges the meeting up of her and Hae-Joon. Jung-Jae plans to help Hae-Joon see his mother. But Dae-Wook goes against it because he thinks the kid won’t go to see his mother. He persuades Jung-Jae to open a store for Hae-Joon.
Park Dal goes on a blind date with the guy at the cafe. The guy is satisfied with her because she’s very beautiful. But she doesn’t like him. Hae-Joon shows up. He calls Park Dal baby. She admits that he’s her boyfriend. The guy is furious to leave the cafe.
Hae-Joon walks Park Dal outside. He thinks she wanted to confess her feelings to him. She denies it. They run into the real estate agent. Park Dal is surprised that Hae-Joon is very rich. She learns that he wants to buy his father a building. She persuades him to ask his father first. He promises to buy her a meal before he leaves. She’s very happy.
Jung-Jae is working at his restaurant. He wants to buy Hae-Joon a store. So he asks Madam about it. But he’s told that a small store costs one hundred million. Hae-Joon goes to his father’s restaurant. He runs into Madam. She asks him to be nice to his father.
Hae-Joon returns home. He gives eight hundred million to Jung-Jae. But Jung-Jae drives Hae-Joon away because he thinks Hae-Joon doesn’t treat him as his real father. Park Dal meets with Hae-Joon in the park. She thinks it broke Jung-Jae’s heart after Jung-Jae knew Hae-Joon suffered. She tells Hae-Joon to go to apologize to his father. He’s very happy to tell her that he cannot live without her.
The people have a talk at the restaurant. Everyone blames Jung-Jae. Jung-Jae leaves his restaurant. He feels guilty for scolding his son. Joon-Ho goes to Joo-Won’s store to buy cake. Joo-Won learns that San-Ha is sick. She runs to his house.
She tries to open the wardrobe for getting the pajamas for him. But he stops her because he worries that she will find his medicine. He gets changed. She lets him lie in the bed. She takes care of him. She finds out that he kept their group photo. She goes to the living room to sleep. She wakes up and she finds out that he’s sleeping with her.
Dae-Wook has breakfast with Jung-Jae. He shows him Hae-Joon’s model photos. Jung-Jae learns that his son was a model. Dae-Wook laughs to tell Jung-Jae not to worry about Hae-Joon. Joo-Won wakes up again. San-Ha cooks breakfast for her. They receives Hae-Joon’s photos. Jung-Jae labels Hae-Joon as his handsome son.
Hae-Joon walks out of the convenience store. He sees the photo Jung-Jae sent. He’s startled. He goes to his father’s restaurant. He sees his photos outside. He’s very happy. He walks into the restaurant and he helps his father. The customer thinks Hae-Joon is like his father.
Dae-Wook waits for Jung-Hee at a cafe by the sea. He tries to help her. But she gets angry and she thinks he pities her. She tells him that she believes that her son will come to her in the end. They have an argument. Dae-Wook is furious to leave. He thinks his wife hasn’t changed. He runs into So-Hee. She doesn’t recognize him. Jung-Hee offers to go to see San-Ha. So-Hee goes against it because she took her mother there because her mother wished to see the sea.
Park Dal is outside Jung-Jae’s restaurant. She gets a call from her mother. Her mother scolds her because of the blind date. Hae-Joon overhears it. He feels guilty. Park Dal walks into the restaurant. She sees Jung-Jae feeding Joo-Won.
Hae-Joon tries to comfort Park Dal. But Joo-Won asks him to go to autograph for the customers. She drives Park Dal to her office. San-Ha calls Joo-Won. He offers to have dinner together. Hui-Ju catches San-Ha’s smiling. She learns that he has a girlfriend. She’s excited to ask him about the girl.
Jung-Jae invites Hae-Joon to have dinner with him. Hae-Joon agrees to it. But his smiling is frozen after he received a message from his aunt. His aunt send his mother’s address to him. He takes a cab to Seo-Hyun’s store. He’s close to the store. He finds out that his mother is very happy. But she broke her promise. He feels betrayed.
Joo-Won gets dressed. She goes out. San-Ha is waiting for her. He tries to hold her hand. But she shakes off his hand. Because she worries that someone will catch them. He promises to let her father know it. He holds her hand. They walk out of the building. Joo-Won plans to let Hae-Joon know her and San-Ha’s love relationship. She sees Hae-Joon sitting on the bench.
Joo-Won tries to take a photo of Hae-Joon. But San-Ha stops her. They join Hae-Joon. Hae-Joon reveals he went to see her mother. He adds that his mother looked good. Joo-Won is furious to ask Hae-Joon to go to question his mother why she betrayed him. But he doesn’t have the guts.
She follows him into the house. She asks him if he wants to eat something. He rejects it and he returns to his room. San-Ha gets Hae-Joon’s mother’s address. He and Joo-Won go to the hair salon. They see Jung-Jae meeting with Seo-Hyun in the store.
Joo-Won walks into the store. She questions his father why he knew the place. Hae-Joon walks out of his room. He finds his phone on the couch. Someone rings the doorbell. He goes to open the door. San-Ha learns that Seo-Hyun will leave if Hae-Joon knows her place.

He stops Joo-Won when she tries to tell Seo-Hyun that Hae-Joon knew her store. Joo-Won yells at Seo-Hyun when she mentions what Hae-Joon has suffered because of Seo-Hyun. Jung-Hee and So-Hee are in San-Ha’s house. Hae-Joon entertains them. So-Hee likes the little brother. Hae-Joon texts San-Ha. He asks him to call him. Seo-Hyun gets on knees to Joo-Won and San-Ha. She begs them.
