This is the recap for Are You the One Episode 5. Cui Xingzhou is drunk to return home. Liu Miantang opens the door. She takes him to her room. He lies in her bed. She feeds him the water and she tries to take off his clothes. But he asks her not to touch him.
Liu Miantang tells Cui Xingzhou that she knows he’s unhappy. She persuades him to drink warm wine next time. He’s surprised that she didn’t ask him why he drank. She comforts him that he can go out to visit his friends if she buys meat home.
He thinks all of the unhappy things aren’t the case to her. She asks him to trouble her because they’re couples. She wants to shoulder the family if he’s tired. He looks at her when she takes off clothes for him. He remembers he passed by the waterfall and he found her in the pool.
Cui Xingzhou wakes up in the morning. He walks out of his room when Liu Miantang is arranging the flowers. He sees her smiling and she feels uncomfortable. Fang Xie mentions Liu Miantang felt uncomfortable last night. She wants to go to invite Zhao Quan.
Liu Miantang rejects it. She tells Cui Xingzhou not to worry about her. He persuades her to take a break. But she reveals she needs to go to porcelain store. She claims that she wants to shoulder the family. Fang Xie reveals Liu Miantang woke up early to take care of the porcelains. She thinks Liu Miantang is emaciated. But Liu Miantang claims that she just didn’t sleep well.
Cui Xingzhou gives the money to Liu Miantang. He tells her not to worry about the money. He reveals he will take the money back if he wins at Go. She’s sad. He comforts her. Cui Xingzhou meets with Zhao Quan. Zhao Quan is surprised that Liu Miantang wanted to shoulder the family for Cui Xingzhou.
Cui Xingzhou laughs. He thinks Lady Liu treated him as a hedonistic guy. Zhao Quan learns that Cui Xingzhou enjoyed it. He asks him if he wants to kill such a good girl. Cui Xingzhou decides to send Liu Miantang to a temple if she helps him catch the bandit chief. He asks Zhao Quan not to go to see Lady Liu.
Liu Miantang and Madam Li walk into the porcelain store. Liu Miantang takes a look at the porcelain. The seller introduces it as the best porcelain in his store. But she thinks the porcelain isn’t special. The shopkeeper takes Liu Miantang to another room.
He shows her the porcelains. She takes the porcelain and she asks him about the seal on the porcelain. He disallows her to touch the porcelain. He reveals the seal means official. She learns that he ran his business well because he’s a royal merchant.
He persuades her to buy the porcelain with the brand of Chamber of Commerce. She wants to buy the porcelain bowl. But she doesn’t have enough money. So she asks him to drop the price. He claims that he cannot make the decision because the bowl belongs to He family.
She points out that Lady He isn’t in the store. He Zhen is surprised that Liu Miantang knew she comes from He family. Liu Miantang mentions the shopkeeper kept staring at He Zhen. She thinks He Zhen came to check the ledger. He Zhen thinks she could be a manager.
Liu Miantang mentions He Zhen let the shopkeeper entertain her in person after she thought He family’s porcelain isn’t special. She thinks He Zhen owns the power because she cared for the reputation of her family’s porcelain. He Zhen greets Liu Miantang. She praises her.
But she thinks she shouldn’t pretend to be a customer. She mentions her beauty and the new porcelain store. Liu Miantang asks He Zhen to teach her how to run the porcelain store. She reveals she wants to join the Porcelain Guild.
He Zhen asks Liu Miantang to let his husband do it. But Liu Miantang reveals the business was managed by her. He Zhen persuades Liu Miantang to give up because the guild doesn’t accept girls. Liu Miantang takes care of the porcelains in the yard. She feels pain in her hands.
Cui Xingzhou shows up. He massages her hand and he asks her about the business. She tells a lie to him that it was good. She learns that Madam Li has reported it to him. She comforts him that she will find a way to join the Trade Guild.
He thinks he doesn’t have to do so because he knows that Trade Guild doesn’t accept girls. He thinks he needs to show up. But she reminds him that he knows nothing about the porcelain. She persuades him to leave the trade guild to her.
But he asks her to stay at home because he thinks he can raise her. She claims that she wants to shoulder the family. He makes the decision for her. He leaves home. Cui Xingzhou is in the carriage. Mo Ru thinks Lady Li got angry.
Liu Miantang is in her room. Madam Li walks into the room. She persuades Liu Miantang to rest. Liu Miantang asks Madam Li what kind of person Cui Xingzhong was. She asks her if she and Cui Xingzhou had fights often. Madam Li doesn’t know it.
Cui Xingzhou returns to his office in the evening. Master He stops him. He asks him to cut the taxes. Cui Xingzhou promises to think about it. He invites the merchants of the guild to attend the start of the watercourse. Young Master He holds the meeting in the guild.
He tells the merchants that he holds the meeting because his father is sick after he went to see Huaiyang Prince. The merchant wonders how they will share the royal porcelains. He Zhen promises to share the porcelains with the merchants because she thinks they should be united.
But her older brother asks her to leave because she’s a girl. The follower reports to Young Master He that the Jade Burning Porcelain Store Owner asked for a meeting up. Young Master He decides to meet with the guy. Liu Miantang runs into He Zhen outside the guild. She greets her. But He Zhen ignores Liu Miantang.
Liu Miantang and Madam Li walk into the guild. The merchants find out that the store owner is a girl. Young Master He thinks Master Cui didn’t come because he didn’t give him an invitation. Liu Miantang mentions there’s no rule that girls cannot get into the guild.
She thinks she should let her servant come since the guys thinks it’s inconvenient to walk with girls. Young Master He is furious to hit the table with his tea cup. He thinks Master Cui was useless to let his wife show up. Liu Miantang talks back that Young Master He let his sister run the store.
She thinks Master He thought girls can run business if she has a talent. She lets Young Master He tell his father that she wants to join the guild. He promises to let her join the guild if she sells her porcelain to royal family. He thinks it’s an easy task since she’s confident to her porcelains.
Madam Li leaves the guild with Liu Miantang. She thinks it’s hard to join the guild. Liu Miantang sees the notice. She learns that Huaiyang Prince will come to the watercourse. She returns home and she asks the maid Bi Cao to let Mr. Chen carry the big jar to the watercourse.
Madam Li reaches Liu Miantang. She thinks she walked too fast. Liu Miantang asks Madam Li to go to the market to buy all of the koi. Madam Li reminds Liu Miantang that the koi is very expensive. But Liu Miantang doesn’t care for the money.
The opening of the watercourse begins. Cui Xingzhou thinks they will build the watercourse soon. Shi Yikuan wonders if Cui Xingzhou plans to rebuild the whole Zhen State. Cui Xingzhou promises to help Shi Yikuan rebuild Blue State. He lets him use the first shovel. Master He takes the merchants to prepare a present for Shi Yikuan. Shi Yikuan praises Cui Xingzhou.
Liu Miantang is in the crowd. She sees Huaiyang Prince. Shi Yikuan decides to return to Blue State. Cui Xingzhou learns that the general plans to report it to the court. He asks him to praise the merchant at the court because the merchants carried the sand.
The soldier finds the koi. Shi Yikuan thinks Cui Xingzhou tried his best for the report. He offers to carry out the koi since it means good luck. Liu Miantang lets her servants carry the big jar to the soldiers. She tells the soldiers that it’s time to take credit.
The soldiers catch the fish. The general lets the soldier go to take a bucket. Another soldier reports to the general that there was a girl giving them a fish jar. The merchants take a look at the koi in the jar. They congratulate Shi Yikuan and Cui Xingzhou.
Cui Xingzhou thinks Shi Yikuan is his lucky star. It makes Shi Yikuan laugh. But Cui Xingzhou sees the seal on the jar. He finds out that the porcelain comes from his store. The soldier reports to Cui Xingzhou that the girl who gave the jar asked for some money.
Shi Yikuan lets the soldier take the girl to see them. Cui Xingzhou pretends to be sick. He hides in the sedan chair. The soldier gives the money to Liu Miantang. She mistakes Shi Yikuan for the prince. She thanks him and she leaves.
Cui Xingzhou returns home with Madam Li. He takes a look at the jar. He finds out that the koi is missing. He throws a fit to Madam Li. He asks her if he needs to accompany Liu Miantang all day. She explains it to him that she thought Lady Liu did it for letting the koi go.
She thinks they made too many sins. She complains it to him that Lady Liu wanted to join the guild. She thinks the lady did it for Cui Jiu. She persuades him to go to flatter Lady Liu. Liu Miantang visits Young Master He. She shows him the copper coin she got from the prince.

She asks him to keep the promise. Master He wonders when He family promised Liu Miantang when he shows up. She mentions the promise. But he claims that his son was just kidding. He asks her to leave. She sees the credit of the guild. She leaves.
