This is the recap for Are You the One Episode 1. Some bandits attack the camp. The bodyguards fights with the bandits. The general walks out of his tent. A masked archer shoots him. The follower informs the general about it. We learn that the general is a prince.
The prince catches the arrow so that the arrow doesn’t hit his neck. His hand is bleeding. The masked archer returns to her room. She drops her bow and she takes off her mask.
We go to a town. A carriage stops in front of the house. Some madams note it. A lady gets off the carriage. One of the madams finds out that the lady is a beauty. She wonders who did the master married a beauty. Another madam leaks that the guy is a porcelain seller. She thinks he cannot keep the beauty if he goes out to sell.
The lady walks to the madams. She picks up the handkerchief for them. The madam takes the lady to the house. She closes the door and she asks her to ignore the bad women. She worries that they will know what clothes the master wears. The lady comforts the madam that she doesn’t remember too much.
The madam mentions what Doctor Zhao said that the lady Liu Miantang doesn’t remember her past because there’s a blockage in her head. She mentions Liu Miantang only remembers the day she married. Liu Miantang remembers she wore a wedding in the carriage. The maid told her that Cui Jiu is a good guy.
The madam reminds Liu Miantang that the master did everything for her. She tells her not to let the master down. The maids Fang Xie and Bi Cao show up. They wonder how did Liu Miantang get hurt. The madam scolds them. Liu Miantang is in her room.
She opens the boxes and she doesn’t find her husband’s clothes. She thinks his husband doesn’t live there. The madam thinks Liu Miantang can suspect the master because the guy didn’t live in Cui family. She persuades her not to speak a lot.
Liu Miantang points the painting at the madam. She asks the madam Madam Li to take the painting to the study. She reveals her wrists recovered. She asks Madam Li to just do her job. Madam Li reports that the master is going to come back tonight. Liu Miantang remembers her husband Cui Jiu.
It flashes back. Cui Jiu walks into the room when Liu Miantang lies in the bed. He asks his friend about Liu Miantang’s injury. Liu Miantang sees the sachet Cui Jiu wears. She remembers she held the sachet when she married. He tells his friend to heal the lady. But Liu Miantang calls Cui Jiu husband. He answers her.
Cui Jiu finds his friend at the Go House. He reveals Lu Wen is looking for Liu Miantang. He mentions Liu Miantang is the concubine Lu Wen loves most. He believes that Lu Wen will show up if he uses the lady right. He admits that Lu Wen is a good enemy.
Cui Jiu’s friend mentions Liu Miantang called Cui Jiu husband. He reveals the lady’s dowry is the guise of her husband. Cui Jiu points out that he wouldn’t do so if his friend didn’t call him Cui Jiu. His friend scolds him. He mentions the lady only remembered she married Cui Jiu. Cui Jiu asks his friend not to come to Spiritual Spring Town if he doesn’t have a business. But his friend wants to see Liu Miantang. Cui Jiu is furious to ask his friend not to contact Liu Miantang.
Cui Xingzhou returns home. Liu Miantang tries to take off clothes for him. But he avoids her. He lets her have a seat and he explains it to her that he didn’t take her because of his business. He drinks the tea. They hear the neighbors having a fight.
The wife thinks her husband concealed something from her because he’s polite to her. Liu Miantang mentions what Madam Li said that the walls are connected together. Cui Xingzhou offers to build a partition. He learns that her hand recovers and she doesn’t remember anything.
He asks her to go to buy anything she needs. She gives her dowry to him. She thanks him for what he did for her. She reveals she’s happy as long as she can help him. They hear the wife complaining to her husband that he didn’t hug her. So her husband hugs her.
Cui Xingzhou hugs Liu Miantang. Madam Li shows up. She asks the two if they want to have dinner. Liu Miantang has dinner with Cui Xingzhou. She keeps eating and she explains it to him that she’s been on the road all day. He points out that her eating looks made him want to eat.
Cui Xingzhou walks into Liu Miantang’s room. He tells her that he won’t come back these days. She asks him to take the clothes she made. He doesn’t want to accept the clothes after he saw a crane design on the clothes. But she reveals what she embroidered was an eagle.
He lets her wear the clothes for him. She ties the clothes. He stops her and he asks her if she wants to kill him. She wonders why she couldn’t use the power since her hands recover. He mentions she remembered the martial art of her family.
But she points out that she couldn’t use it. She thinks she could help him if it didn’t happen. The cosmetic drops. Cui Xingzhou reveals he bought Liu Miantang the cosmetic. She likes the cosmetic. But she mentions the family intends to saving. But there’re diamonds on the cosmetic. She tells him to be careful of the bandits before he leaves.
Liu Miantang and Madam Li walk on the street. Liu Miantang wants to go to see Cui Xingzhou’s store. But Madam Li confesses it to Liu Miantang that they don’t have a store. Liu Miantang worries about Cui Xingzhou’s business. A carriage shows up in the woods.
The bandits surround the carriage. The chief bandit puts his sword on Cui Xingzhou’s neck after Cui Xingzhou got off the carriage. Liu Miantang and Madam Li walk out of the house. The madams talk about Huaiyang Prince. They thinks the prince is rich and strong.
Liu Miantang gives the chestnuts to the madams. The bandits try to take away Cui Xingzhou. But a group of archers show up. They kill the bandits. Huaiyang Prince shows up. The chief bandit recognizes the prince. The madam mentions she didn’t see Liu Miantang’s husband.
She asks Liu Miantang what kind of person her husband is. Liu Miantang reveals her husband is just an ordinary merchant. The chief bandit threatens to kill Cui Xingzhou if the general is close to him. But the general Huang Gui pays his respect to Cui Xingzhou. He calls him Huaiyang Prince.
Cui Xingzhou catches the chief bandit. The chief bandit asks Cui Xingzhou for his mercy. Liu Miantang tells the madams that her husband is a good guy. The chief bandit is taken to Cui Xingzhou’s camp. He’s tied up and he’s put into a water jar.
Cui Xingzhou watches it. The chief bandit confesses that they went to the markets of Qing State and Zhen State for looking for someone. Liu Miantang tells the madams that her husband is a reliable person. The madam learns that it’s what Madam Li said. She asks Liu Miantang what she thinks.
Liu Miantang and Madam Li walk on the street. The guy mentions Huaiyang Prince caught some people of Yang Mountain. But Lu Wen fled. The guy mentions Lu Wen helped many people. The seller bumps Liu Miantang. She lets Madam Li buy something from the seller.
Cui Xingzhou watches Liu Miantang. He reveals he let the girl show up for drawing the enemies. He thinks the ones who show up in front of her are Lu Wen’s spies. Cui Xingzhou’s friend mentions Liu Miantang’s hand muscles were cut off by someone. He told a lie to her that she was hurt by bandits.
He wonders who did it to Liu Miantang. He thinks the girl was lucky that Cui Xingzhou saved her. Cui Xingzhou reveals he saved Liu Miantang for letting her repay the same value. He thinks she doesn’t deserve the treatment because she married a bandit.
His friend mentions he looked into the girl. The girl was innocent but she was kidnapped to Yang Mountain three years ago. But he thinks Liu Miantang isn’t an ordinary girl because she had been in Yang Mountain for three years. He emphasizes that she’s the woman of Lu Wen. He believes that she will remember something because of some kind of stimulation.
Liu Miantang and Madam Li pass by the bulletin board. They see the wanted poster. Liu Miantang thinks the street is good for setting up a store. She asks Madam Li to go to ask for the store price. Madam Li worries about Liu Miantang’s injury. Liu Miantang promises not to walk away.
Liu Miantang meets with Tan Er in the room. Tan Er reveals she came to look for Liu Miantang after she heard that Liu Miantang’s head was hurt. Tan Er read Liu Miantang’s letter. She learned that her lady is in Cui family. She told Cui Xingzhou that her lady was kidnapped by the bandits when she married.
Tan Er learns that Liu Miantang doesn’t remember anything. Liu Miantang asks her where she went. Cui Xingzhou asked Tan Er to tell Liu Miantang that she married to East State. Tan Er tells Liu Miantang that she married her cousin in East State.
She reveals Liu Miantang was a good girl. But her mother passed away after her father was wronged to death in the prison. Mr. Qiao worried that Liu Miantang would get involved. So he married her to Cui family. Liu Miantang asks Tan Er if they ran into bandits on the way of wedding.
But Tan Er tells Liu Miantang that they didn’t encounter any bandit. Liu Miantang is surprised that she was easy to marry Cui Jiu. Tan Er reveals Liu Miantang found out that Cui Jiu is a good guy after she married to Cui family. Liu Miantang walks on the street.
She runs into Madam Li. Madam Li complains it to Liu Miantang that the store owner refused to sell his store. She persuades her not to care for it. Liu Miantang points out that her husband’s business is her business since she invested the dowry.
She wants to earn money back for Cui family since the family spent a lot on her. She sees the two guys having a fight in front of the store. She try to walk to them. But Madam Li stops her when she persuades her not to bring trouble.
Madam Li visits Huaiyang Prince’s palace. She reports to the prince that they did a great job. She thinks Lady Liu won’t suspect him. She reveals the lady accepted the new identity. She adds that Liu Miantang wanted to run the business for Cui Jiu.
It flashes back. Liu Miantang visits the store owner with the maid. She tells the store owner that she’s interested in his store. She reveals she wants to run a funeral store. The store owner sells his store to her. She opens a funeral store. The store affects another store’s business. The store owner has to sell his store to Liu Miantang as well.
Madam Li is excited to tell the prince that Liu Miantang got two stores with just 70 silver. Cui Xingzhou learns that Liu Miantang is outstanding even if she looks soft. He thinks Lu Wen’s concubine isn’t an ordinary girl. He decides to give the stores to Liu Miantang. He asks Madam Liu to give more money to the lady. Because he doesn’t want to see the lady to give in. It makes Madam Liu think Cui Xingzhou pities the girl.
The guy Chen Tu stops Liu Miantang on the street. Chen Tu’s follower reveals the young master is the nephew of the general. He tells Liu Miantang that she will have a good life if she marries Chen Tu. The maid scolds Chen Tu. He’s shy to tell Liu Miantang that his sedan chair is in the alley.
She goes to the alley with him. But she kidnaps him with her hairpin. She threatens his followers that she will kill their young master. The follower reminds her that nobody can touch Chen Tu. But she knows Huaiyang Prince is a good prince.
