Shentu Chi Tests Yang Ying’s Guts

The red clothes guard Qiong Zhu serves Shen Tuchi and Yang Ying the tea when they meet. She walks out of the house. She sees Ren Ruyi. Qiong Zhu reports to her leader that Yang Ying is good at talking. The lady thinks Yang Ying knows the two nations well.
Qiong Zhu reports to the lady that she saw the dead body of Hu Po. She reveals Hu Po was killed by the bandit. The lady feels regret. She wonders why arranged the bandits since Shentu Chi claimed that the bandits weren’t arranged by him.
She believes that Hu Po was killed by Wu Kingdom Group. Qiong Zhu thinks Prince Li is too sly. The lady asks her follower to report it to Jia Ling. She tells Qiong Zhu to watch Prince Li. The follower reports to the lady that Shentu Chi invited Prince Li to his barrack.
The lady realizes that Shentu Chi planned to test Prince Li’s guts. The soldiers cheer when they see Yang Ying. Shentu Chi asks Yang Ying about her feelings. She points out that the soldiers belong to Emperor An. He shows the horses to her.
He invites her to ride the horses with him. She agrees to it. She gets on the horse. He takes her to ride around the city. She chases him when he rides. He stops and he thinks she’s like a girl. She bumps the vegetable farmer by mistake.
Shentu Chi brags to Yang Ying that Xu City is bustling under his management. But she points out that he taxed the seller heavily. She hands over the money to the vegetable farmer for compensating him. But he throws the silver to her because he thinks he would get heavy taxation if Emperor Wu didn’t fail.
The vegetable farmer tells the people that Prince Li is the younger brother of Emperor Wu. The people ask Yang Ying to repay the money to them. The person tries to kill Yang Ying. The guy stops the person. He hurts Shentu Chi. He blames him for letting the people to attack Yang Ying.
Ning Yuanzhou Volunteers to Get Whip Punishment
Shentu Chi asks the guy who he is because he didn’t see him in Wu Kingdom Group. He claims that he’s a guard of Prince Li. He threatens to kill him. Shentu Chi laughs. He claims that he was hurt. He leaves. Du Changshi blames the bodyguards for letting Yang Ying in danger.
Yang Ying tells Du Changshi not to scold Qian Zhao. She asks him not to bring trouble to the people. He promises not to blame the people. But he thinks he should punish Qian Zhao because he didn’t guard Yang Ying well. He asks Ning Yuanzhou to give him an explanation.
But Ning Yuanzhou only gives Qian Zhao a light punishment. He thinks he should take duty for what Qian Zhao did. He volunteers to get whip punishment. Yang Ying tries to stop Ning Yuanzhou. But Ren Ruyi thinks Ning Yuanzhou should take the duty. Because he’s the chief of the guards.

Episode 12 of A Journey to Love ends with Chu Yue apologizing to Li Tongguang for hiring the people to deal with him. He tells her not to apologize to him because he thinks she’s not sincere. She threatens to let him be a joke of An Kingdom if he doesn’t ruin their marriage on his own.
