Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji study in the library. Wei Wuxian takes a look at Lan Wangji’s handwriting. He thinks his handwriting is good. He apologizes to him and he reveals he wouldn’t eat the wine in front of him if he saw the rules. But Lan Wangji asks Wei Wuxian to transcribe the rules again because he knows he doesn’t regret. Wei Wuxian laughs to tell Lan Wangji that he regrets. Lan Wangji seals Wei Wuxian’s mouth.
Wen Qing returns to the room. Wen Ning thinks his older sister went to look for something. Wen Qing remembers Chief Wen asked her to find the shard of the Yin Iron. Wen Ning hands over the tea to Wen Qing. He wishes her not to be tired. She asks him if he felt something weird after he came to The Place Deep In Clouds. He denies it. She strokes his hair. She complains that she couldn’t cure her brother’s illness. She promises him that she will take him to leave No Night Sky one day.
Wei Wuxian transcribes the Lan Clan’s rules. He gives the drawing to Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji takes a look at the drawing. He’s furious to tear up the drawing. He tells Wei Wuxian to get lost. He pulls out his sword.
Nie Huaisang laughs after knowing Lan Wangji asked Wei Wuxian to get lost. Wei Wuxian shows off. But Jiang Cheng scolds Wei Wuxian. He thinks Wei Wuxian lost Jiang Clan’s face. Wei Wuxian thinks he should play with Lan Zhan because Lan Zhan had sealed his mouth for a few days. But he feels regret for Nie Huaisang’s beauty photo. Nie Huaisang reveals he had many beauty photos. But he worries that Wei Wuxian betrayed him. Wei Wuxian claims that he wouldn’t betray his brother. Wei Wuxian casts the talisman to the air. The Xiao Bird Wen Clan raised shows up. Nie Huaisang reveals Wen Clan used the bird to watch. He thinks Wen Clan manages their study.
Lan Wangji walks Lan Xichen in the yard. He reports to him that someone interfered the enchantment in the back mountain. Lan Xichen wonders who visited the back mountain. Lan Wangji reveals it was Wei Ying. He intends to enhance the enchantment. Lan Xichen rejects it. He thinks the enchantment won’t disappear as long as the lady doesn’t visit the enchantment. The disciple Su She reports to Lan Xichen that the water ghost killed some villagers in Colorful Town. The villagers wished Lan Clan to kill the water ghost. Lan Xichen is surprised that there was a water ghost in colorful town because the people in the town are good swimmer. Su She volunteers to kill the water ghost. But Lan Xichen thinks the case isn’t simple. He asks Lan Wangji to go down mountain with him.
Jiang Cheng knocks at the door. He’s surprised to see Wen Qing. She greets him but she ignores Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian walks into the room when Jiang Yanli gets up from the bed. He asks her what happened to her. She reveals she felt dizzy when she ran into Wen Qing by the stream. She adds that Wen Qing took her home and she gave her some medicine.
Jiang Cheng blames Jiang Yanli for not letting them know that she’s sick. Wei Wuxian blames Lan Zhan for locking him up for three days. He thinks Jiang Yanli was sick because she missed him. She’s happy to hit his nose. Wen Qing notes it. She remembers she stroked Wen Ning’s head.
Jiang Cheng thanks Wen Qing for saving his older sister. But she claims that it was her duty to save the patient because she’s a doctor. Wei Wuxian tells Jiang Yanli that they don’t have to go to study because Mr. Lan went to Clean Talk Meeting.
He reveals Mr. Zewu is going to go down the mountain for getting rid of the water ghost. Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji are going to leave. Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng stop them. Jiang Cheng mentions the Water Ghost brought trouble to the area of Green Spiritual Lake.
He volunteers to follow Lan Xichen to experience it. Wei Wuxian agrees to what Jiang Cheng said. He asks Lan Xichen to take them. But Lan Wangji thinks it breaks the rules. Wei Wuxian claims that Water Ghost is just a little case to him and Jiang Cheng because he often played with Jiang Cheng by lakes when they were kids.
Jiang Cheng agrees to what Wei Wuxian said. He persuades Lan Xichen that he and Wei Wuxian can help them. Lan Xichen agrees to let the two guys leave with him. Wen Qing tells him that she wants to go to see the Water Ghost. Wei Wuxian reminds Lan Xichen that Wen Qing can help heal the villagers.
Lan Xichen agrees to take Wen Qing. But Wen Ning stops his older sister. Wen Qing is surprised that her younger brother came. She gets angry. He reveals he wants to follow them to go to kill the Water Ghost. She reminds him that there will be many dangers on the roads.
She asks him to listen to her. Wei Wuxian thinks there will be no problem because Wen Ning is a good archer. He claims that he will protect Wen Ning. Wen Qing promises Lan Xichen that she and Wen Ning won’t take part in getting rid of the Water Ghost. She asks him to let Wen Ning follow them. He agrees to it.
The people arrive at the mountain gate. Lan Wangji wonders why Lan Xichen took the people. He thinks it’s not a little case. Lan Xichen explains it to Lan Wangji that he agreed to it after he noted that he wished Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian to go.
Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian arrive at the hotel in Colorful Town. The waiter opens the door. Wei Wuxian walks into the suit with Lan Wangji. He asks the waiter if there was no cleaner cleaning the room. The waiter reveals there was no guest living in the hotel after the lake ate people.
Wei Wuxian wonders why the Water Ghost could eat people since it’s just the grass in the lake. The waiter reveals the boat of the merchant capsized. Wei Wuxian asks him about the people on the boat. The waiter tells Wei Wuxian that the people were eaten. He didn’t see who did it.
Wei Wuxian wonders why the waiter is sure that the case was done by the stuff in the lake. The waiter reveals the people didn’t come back after they fell into the lake. He leaves. Wei Wuxian asks Lan Wangji if he thinks the stuff in the lake is Water Ghost.
He thinks it’s not Water Ghost. He offers to make a bet. But Lan Wangji rejects it. The fisherman is fishing on the lake in the evening. Water Ghost shows up from the lake. He eats the fisherman. The people walk in the woods. Wei Wuxian mentions the fisherman passed away last night.
Jiang Cheng wants to meet with the little evil spirit for seeing his talent. He’s surprised that the Water Ghost can eat humans. Wei Wuxian joins Lan Xichen. He asks him if the villagers saw who did the evil thing. Lan Xichen reveals the evil spirits were sly. He thinks there’s no survivor if the person is dragged into the lake.
He tells Wei Wuxian that there was nobody seeing the real face of the Water Ghost. Wei Wuxian asks Lan Xichen about the progress of the puppet. He thinks the puppet is related to the water ghost. Lan Xichen reveals they’re looking into the case of puppet. He thinks it’s not related to the water ghost. He persuades Wei Wuxian to get rid of the evil spirit first.
Jiang Cheng agrees to what Lan Xichen said. He thinks they shouldn’t delay the time. Wei Wuxian invites Lan Wangji to drink wine. He asks him if there was a progress about puppet. Lan Wangji denies it. But Wei Wuxian believes that they concealed something from him. He thinks the case isn’t small. Lan Wangji grabs Wei Wuxian’s wine. He pours out the wine. He mentions the rule. But Wei Wuxian didn’t hear the rule. He’s furious to yell at Lan Wangji.
The people arrive at Green Spiritual Lake. They take some boats. The boats travel on the lake. There’s fog. Lan Xichen tells the people to be careful because they’re going to reach the dangerous place. Wei Wuxian wonders what they will do if the water ghosts hide under the boats.
Lan Xichen thinks it’s their duty to find the water ghosts. Wei Wuxian attacks Lan Wangji. He capsizes his boat. Lan Wangji jumps to Wei Wuxian’s boat. He sees the water ghost from the capsized boat. Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng didn’t see the water ghost before.
Wen Qing thinks the water ghost was mutation because of something. Lan Xichen wonders how did Wei Wuxian know the water ghosts hid under the boats. Wei Wuxian mentions Lan Wangji’s boat’s weight is more than his boat’s weight. So he thought there was a water ghost.
Lan Xichen praises Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian is happy to take a look at Lan Wangji. He explains it to him that he didn’t intend to pour the water to him. He thinks the water ghosts would flee if he spoke out. He mentions he grabbed his wine. He thinks they gave presents to each other.
Lan Wangji glares at Wei Wuxian. He asks him to stay away from him. Wei Wuxian picks up his sword. The water ghosts show up. Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian kill the water ghosts one by one. Lan Wangji asks Wei Wuxian about his sword’s name.
Wei Wuxian reveals the sword’s name is “As You Wish”. Lan Wangji thinks he doesn’t respect the sword if he calls it randomly. Wei Wuxian explains it to Lan Wangji that the sword’s name is called “As You Wish”. He shows his sword to him.
He knows he wants to ask why he called the sword the name. He tells him that there’s no special meaning. He reveals Uncle Jiang gave the sword to him and he asked him to give a name to the sword. He wasn’t satisfied with it after he came up with twenty names. So he answered to Uncle Jiang “As You Wish”.
Wei Wuxian thinks the name isn’t bad. But Lan Wangji tells Wei Wuxian that it’s ridiculous. It’s windy. Jiang Cheng is bitten by the water ghost. Wen Qing shows up. She finds out that he was hurt. She drops the medicine on his wound. She tells him that he will recover after two days.
The water ghost shows up from Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji’s boat. The two guy jump to Jiang Cheng and Wen Qing’s boat. Wen Ning deal with the water ghost alone on the boat. He notes the color of the lake. Lan Wangji persuades the people to go back. He thinks the water ghosts intend to draw them to the center of the lake.
Wei Wuxian notes that the water ghosts gather together. He thinks there will be a water walking abyss. He tells the people that the water ghosts are going to eat them. Wen Ning is scared. The people drive their swords to fly in the sky except Su She and Wen Ning.
Su She casts his sword to the water ghost. His sword falls into the water. Wen Ning jumps to Su She’s boat to help him. But he stops. Wen Wuxian goes to help Wen Ning. But he sees his white eyes. He’s shocked. Lan Wangji saves the three.
The boat is engulfed by the water walking abyss. Wei Wuxian is in the air. He finds out that the one who saved him was Lan Wangji. He thanks him but he complains it to him that he feels uncomfortable when he grabs his collar. He asks him to grab his hand. But Lan Wangji claims that he doesn’t touch others’ hands. Wei Wuxian thinks he’s not an outsider. But Jiang Cheng asks Wei Wuxian not to speak. Lan Xichen seals the water walking abyss. But the evil smoke flies away.
They people return to the hotel. Wen Ning falls asleep in the room. Wei Wuxian checks Wen Ning’s eye. Wen Qing shows up with the herb soup. She wonders why Wei Wuxian came. He explains it to her that he came to see Wen Ning. He wonders what happened to the boy. He mentions Wen Ning is in a coma.
Wen Qing asks Wei Wuxian to leave because she thinks her younger brother needs to rest. He throws the sachet to her. He tells her that that the sachet can protect Wen Ning. He mentions he’s good at magic even if her medical skill is better than him.
He mentions Wen Ning is an Immortal Cultivator. He thinks he wouldn’t weak to be in coma after he fell into the water. She asks him about what he wants to say. He asks her if Wen Ning had some unusual experiences. So he was affected by the evil spirit.
Wen Wuxian asks Wen Qing to let Wen Ning take the amulet. He wishes the amulet to help the boy. He tells her that she can choose not to trust him. He lets her throw it away if she thinks it’s not useful. He leaves her room. Jiang Cheng walks down the bridge.
The lady is selling combs. She persuades him to buy a comb and give it to the girl he loves. He rejects it and he tries to leave. She stops him and she reminds him that the comb means crush. She thinks it’s suitable to give the comb to the girl.
Lan Wangji is on the boat with Lan Xichen. He tells Lan Xichen that he’s thinking about Water Walking Abyss. He thinks what Wei Wuxian said is reasonable. He asks Lan Xichen if he has any clue. Lan Xichen reveals he doesn’t know it. He wishes it not to be what he thinks.
He tells Lan Wangji that they cannot control it if it’s true. Wei Wuxian invites Lan Wangji to eat the loquat. He throws the loquat to him. Lan Wangji rejects it. He returns the loquat to Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian throws the fruit to Jiang Cheng. Lan Wangji buys two bottles of Emperor’s Smile.
We return to Place Deep in the Clouds. Nie Huaisang visits Wei Wuxian in the evening. He brings him some peanuts. Wei Wuxian drags Nie Huaisang into his room. They drink with Jiang Cheng when they eat the peanuts. Nie Huaisang finds out that Wei Wuxian’s wine is pretty good.
Wei Wuxian admits it. He thinks they should drink the Emperor’s Smile if they’re in Gusu. Jiang Cheng blames Wei Wuxian for describing the wine as a human. But Nie Huaisang praises Wei Wuxian. He mentions a good wine is match for a beauty.
Jiang Cheng tells the two to follow the wine to make friends. He thinks the people of Lan Clan cannot stand Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian talks back that those guys cannot stand Jiang Cheng’s standard. He reveals Jiang Cheng likes the nature beauty.
Jiang Cheng is furious to chase Wei Wuxian. Lan Wangji walks into the room when the three guys are having fun on the bed. He asks them what they’re doing. Wei Wuxian invites Lan Wangji to drink with them since he came. Lan Wangji rejects it.
Wei Wuxian grabs Lan Wangji’s sleeve. He persuades him to celebrate for killing Water Walking Abyss. But Lan Zhan asks the guys to go to Discipline Hall to accept the punishment. Wei Wuxian thinks Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang cannot walk because they’re drunk.
He asks Lan Wangji to drink with him. Lan Wangji tries to go to get some guys to carry Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang to the Discipline Hall. The two run out of the room. Wei Wuxian catches the chance to post the talisman on Lan Wangji’s back.
Lan Wangji becomes Wei Wuxian’s puppet. He drinks the wine and he passes out. Wei Wuxian carries Lan Wangji to his bed. He lets him call him Older Brother Wei. He reminds him that his forehead belt is crooked. He tries to help him fix the forehead belt.
But Lan Wangji rejects it. He claims that only his wife can touch his forehead belt. It makes Wei Wuxian laugh. He thinks there’s no girl wishing to marry Lan Wangji because there’re too many rules in Lan Clan. He tells Lan Wangji to be single all his life. Lan Wangji agrees to it. Wei Wuxian wonders if the people of Lan Clan are bored like Lan Wangji.
