Grandfather tells Chen Qingqing that he misses her over the phone, and she asks him if he lied to her about her parents. Grandfather says that he cannot tell her about it, so she hangs up. She asks Zhang Fangfang about Lin Yiyang, and Zhang Fangfang claims that she is just curious why he pretends to be tough.
Chen Qingqing asks Zhang Fangfang how to know she loves someone or not. Zhang Fangfang remembers the words she read, and tells Chen Qingqing that loving someone is when you be yourself. But Chen Qingqing thinks she becomes another person. Zhang Fangfang points out that maybe it’s truely Chen Qingqing.

Gu Nanxi’s grandmother’s birthday is upcoming, he asks Si Tufeng to accompany him to pick the gift. Si Tufeng teases Gu Nanxi that he is a gay because he doesn’t have girlfriend still. But he is stunned when Gu Nanxi wants him to be his girlfriend, and urges Gu Nanxi to ask Qing Chen out.
Qing Chen and Chen Xiao sit in the cafe, and talk about her parents. Si Tufeng and Gu Nanxi shows up. Gu Nanxi mentions Si Tufeng flirted with his friend, and Si Tufeng admits that he is easy when staying with the friend. Qing Chen is happy that he loves her, but he claims that he and Chen Qingqing are just friends, and asks Qing Chen to teach Chen Qingqing how to be a feminine. Chen Qingqing is furious.
Qing Chen dresses up to be Chen Qingqing, and Gu Nanxi invites her to attend his grandmother’s birthday party. He gives a jade bracelet to his grandmother, but his cousin Gu Donglin mocks him, and takes out diamond necklace to make grandmother happy. Si Tufeng points out that Gu Nanxi paid off Gu Donglin’s debt. Chen Qingqing and Zhang Fangfang attend the party with dresses as well, and Nan Xinya ridicules Chen Qingqing’s dress. Chen Qingqing fights with her.

Yang Lanting wears same dress with Chen Qingqing, and sneers at her. Zhang Fangfang tells Chen Qingqing to be careful of Yang Lanting, and Chen Qingqing pours drink to Yang Lanting’s dress by mistake. Lan Xinya and Yang Lanting think Chen Qingqing is intertional to do it. Gu Donglin asks Chen Qingqing to apologize, and calls her as dog. Si Tufeng scolds Gu Donglin, and takes Chen Qingqing away.
Chen Qingqing asks Si Tufeng if he thought she poured it or not. He says that he believes her, and takes her to a basketball court. But she thinks he is bad at playing basketball, so he teaches her how to play basketball. She finds out that his skill is stunning.
Chen Qingqing thinks he is tired to hide himself since he can play basketball. But he claims that he doesn’t need her pity, and tells her what he likes her is that she doesn’t have any secret. She sighs, and hears voices. He guesses it’s a mice, and she jumps on his back to ask him to protect her. They find it’s a cat, and she likes it. He suggests her to give the cat a name. She gives the name Chen Xiaomao to the cat, and the nickname is Situ Ergou.

Chen Qingqing draws on her seat, and Si Tufeng shows up to her back. She is startled, and he catches the chance to take her notebook. He finds out she drew her. Chen Qingqing is called to Chen Xiao’s office, and sees grandfather. Grandfather is disappointed to her after seeing her looks, and thinks she will be hurt without his protecting. He hurts her pride, and she claims to be the champion of school beauty otherwise she will return Gold City. Grandfather agrees it.

Chen Qingqing applies to attend school beauty competition, but Hua Munian suggests her to quit. She takes away the application when goddess gang arrives. The male classmates cheer Chen Qingqing up since she is only one who applied the school beauty. She asks Si Tufeng to write song for her, but he refuses it. So she asks Gu Nanxi a favor.
Si Tufeng raises his voice after knowing Chen Qingqing asked Gu Nanxi a favor. Gu Nanxi knows Si Tufeng loves Chen Qingqing, and Si Tufeng plays with him when Gu Nanxi performs. Si Tufeng finds out it’s interesting the two instruments go together, and knows the idea came from Chen Qingqing. They find out she keeps giving them surprise. Si Tufeng goes to music room to help Gu Nanxi and Chen Qingqing. They are stunned when she wears a beautiful clothes.

Student union receives a tip-off that Gu Nanxi helps Chen Qingqing to prepare the school beauty competition as a judge. Chen Qingqing is furious after knowing the tip-off comes from fans of goddess gang. Gu Nanxi points out someone else played the song, and Chen Qingqing guesses it’s Si Tufeng. Si Tufeng doesn’t want to promise her so easy because of his pride, but she walks away without asking him.
The school beauty competition begins, and the judge thinks Chen Qingqing’s looks is to normal to shame other girls. But Chen Qingqing points out that pretty doesn’t mean beauty, and mentions mother’s white hair is beauty as well. Si Tufeng applauds her, so others applaud.
Grandfather smiles when seeing the confident Chen Qingqing through the screen. She plays the zither, and Si Tufeng plays piano from her back. People are lost in the music, and applaud. Si Tufeng tells Chen Qingqing that she is the school beauty in his mind tonight. She is happy, and her heart beats fast. Lan Xinya becomes the school beauty of Ming De, and Chen Qingqing is frustrated. But Si Tufeng’s eyes are affirmative when staring at Chen Qingqing.
Chen Qingqing packs her stuff to leave Ming De, but she receives a message from grandfather. He tells her that she goal is achieved, and agrees her to stay at Ming De.
