In the 9th episode of Miss Hammurabi Korean Drama, Cha Oh Reum thinks Presiding Judge Gam committed
a crime, because he asked her to go through his friend’s case carefully. Se Sang doesn’t believe it, until he knows that Presiding Judge Gam’s kid’s tuition coming from his friend.

Cha Oh Reum wants to thank Ba Reun for what he did for her mother yesterday, but he goes to Se Sang’s office to make a suggestion.
Do Yeon goes outside to take a break, and thinks Bo Wang’s butt is attracted. But he treats it as a sexual harassment, she apologizes to him, saying that she will lose her job if he reports it to HR. He grasps her shoulders tightly, and claims it’s not what he means, and tells her he likes it. She asks him what he likes, he says he likes her complimenting. She claims she wasn’t complimenting a judge’s buttocks, but talks about a cute guy, and leaves. He yells at her, and asks her if she is seeing a old man. She realizes the reason why he stopped visiting her office. He grumbles why she hits on him since she has a boyfriend, and claims he won’t show his buttocks to her anymore.
Cha Oh Reum runs into Do Yeon when she is coming down, and asks what happened between she and Bo Wang. Do Yeon denies, and asks Cha Oh Reum to have some tea.

Cha Oh Reum asks Do Yeon what she thinks of Bo Wang, while drinking tea. Do Yeon thinks he is thoughtless and indifferent, and is curious why Cha Oh Reum keeps asking about Bo Wang. Cha Oh Reum laughs, and reveals her friend’s colleague came to see her mother, even if they’re not close. Just then Sang A shows up, and looks for Cha Oh Reum. He asks her to come in.
Se Sang wants to change the presiding judge since Cha Oh Reum has many cases to deal with, but she thinks Ba Reun will feel uncomfortable. Se Sang claims Ba Reun will listen to his order, and asks her to review the file he gave her.
Two guys talk about lawyer Hwang and judge Se Sang’s relationship at the restaurant, while drinking wine. The thin guy asks the fat guy takes it easy, and reveals Mr. Hwang and Se Sang are good friends.
But Se Sang tells Cha Oh Reum and Ba Reun that he gets angry when hearing Mr. Hwang’s name, while swallowing food, and reveals Mr. Hwang made him a fool in front if presiding judge. The thin guys tells the fat guy that a lawyer is very important to him. But Cha Oh Reum thinks the case is clear, and is curious why the defendant needs a lawyer. The fat guy is startled by the fee, but the fat guy tells him that the bag sold on street is different to the luxury brand bag. Cha Oh Reum reveals lawyers struggle to earn $3,000 per month, Se Sang thinks there are many people struggling than lawyers, and fights with Ba Reun for a piece of radish. Se Sang sneers at Ba Reun, and asks him to move it. But Ba Reun takes away the onion instead.

Ba Reun catches the coffee Cha Oh Reum dropped, Se Sang is happly, and claims americano is perfect after eating jjajangmyeon. But Ba Reun drinks it himself. Se Sang is frustrated, Cha Oh Reum gives another cup of americano to Se Sang. Se Sang stares at Ba Reun with anger while drinking.
Se Sang grumbles that young people are rude when he is in the pharmacy, the doctor laughs, and persuades him not to say that, otherwise he will be called “old mule”. Se Sang loses his temper, and grumbles that everyone are bullying him.
Se Sang scolds lawyer Hwang because he submitted wrong file in the court, and claims he cannot scold lawyer Hwang too much because the rule of being a judge. Cha Oh Reum says that he did a great job.
Lawyer Hwang asks his friend why Se Sang treated him such way in the court, his friend reveals Se Sang has bad personality.
The plaintiff asks lawyer Hwang’s manager if lawyer Hwang and judge Se Sang really are good friends, and mentions the judge scolded the lawyer at the court. The manager gives the plaintiff an affirmative answer, and claims they didn’t want to make things too obviously, and asks him to pay the processing fees.

Two guys of the defendant company talk about Se Sang, and think he looked weird. The fat guy says that Ba Reun nodded when Mr. Hwang thought the product was not flawed, the thin adds that they’re blatant, and reveals Cha Oh Reum smirked when the lawyer refuted the argument. They decides to hire a law firm.
Do Yeon comes to judge’s office, and asks Cha Oh Reum to attend the meeting about alleged privileges of former judges. Cha Oh Reum asks Ba Reun if former judge can affects the result, he doesn’t think so.
The department head announces that he will record judge’s office phone conversations at the meeting, as he got the pressure from politicians and the press about the privileges of former judges. But Se Sang thinks former judges doesn’t have privileges anymore, and thinks the department head doesn’t trust each judge. The department head claims the court should not only be fair, but also look fair.
Presiding Judge Kwon agrees Se Sang’s point at the meeting, and reveals he tried hard to let people know he is being fair, because some ignorant people babbling on about privileges. But Cha Oh Reum thinks they provided grounds so that people believe it, and says it doesn’t change the fact that there is a rotten apple, even if it’s just one rotten apple in the whole box. She thinks he will use his privileges, when he becomes a lawyer. Presiding Judge Kwon loses his temper, but Presiding Judge Gam stops him.
Cha Oh Reum runs into Presiding Judge Gam who is enjoying the flowers. He tells her that sharp swards break too easily, and persuades her to be dull swords.
Se Sang scolds Cha Oh Reum, and thinks she shouldn’t treat Presiding Judge Kwon like that. He asks her if she thought he favored lawyer Hwang, Ba Reun says Se Sang is unfriendly to everyone.
Ba Reun helps Cha Oh Reum, after she carried too many files. She feels sorry, because he took many her cases. But he claims it’s his duty as presiding judge, and persuades her not to make enemies. She reveals she couldn’t stand because Presiding Judge Kwon blamed people’s ignorance.
Cha Oh Reum sees some people protest outside, and ask to arrest Se Sang and Ba Reun. She tells Ba Reun about it, he thinks those people are cranky, quick-tempered, and stubborn. She feels hurt by his words, and says that she is cranky, quick-tempered, and stubborn as well.
Presiding Judge Gam treats clerks drinks, and asks Cha Oh Reum to join them when she is thinking about something.
Dan Di subdues the thug after seeing the flyers about arresting Ba Reun, Ba Reun asks her if she was hurt. She claims she is a court guard, and claims she can handle it while shaking her head. He agrees, and thinks nothing will scare her. But she reveals she scares those men who are stronger than her.
Ba Reun takes the files away from Cha Oh Reum because she has many cases to deal with. She doesn’t know what he means.
Bo Wang runs into Do Yeon in the hallway, but he avoids her, and goes outside. He runs into Ba Reun, and says his buttocks are nice. Ba Reun tells Bo Wang that it doesn’t suit him, Bo Wang thinks he means Do Yeon, and yells at him.
Se Sang yells in his office, because protector blow up the worst photo of him, and feels bad for involving Ba Reun. Ba Reun claims he has to do it, because he is senior than Cha Oh Reum. Se Sang realizes Ba Reun wants to protect her, and says he is a wonderful right-seat judge.
Bo Wang shows up at the night club, and sees Do Yeon who is taking off her clothes. But he drives her away after finding out she isn’t Do Yeon.
Ba Reun wants to attend his friend’s wedding, but her mother doesn’t want him to go. He runs into Mr. Min at the hotel, after his friend’s wedding.
Mr. Min says that he was jealous of Ba Reun, because Cha Oh Reum worried about him. He mentions the privileges of former judges, and thinks people get suspicious without evidence. He tells Ba Reun not to worry about it, and thinks it’s jealousy in excessive criticism. He says that people criticize rich people, but main characters are rich guys in most of dramas.
But Ba Reun disagrees what he said, Mr. Min tells Ba Reun that he is a good friend of Kang Yo Han, and reveals he knows the presiding judge is charge of Department 48. Ba Reun is shocked, and thinks Mr. Min connects everywhere.
Ba Reun’s mother asks him if he saw someone he liked at the wedding, Ba Reun says that he didn’t go there for that. Mother yells at him, and thinks he should get what he spent.
He takes his mother to the hospital when she doesn’t feel well. But the nurse tells him he has to wait when his mother is in pain. The doctor wants to treat another patient, since Ba Reun arrives first. Ba Reun calls his friend who owns the hospital, and asks a favor.
The doctor tells Ba Reun that his mom has urinary tract stones, and it doesn’t threaten her life. He adds that the person in the wheelchair earlier had a hemorrhagic stroke. Ba Reun is shocked, the guy thinks Ba Reun used money and power to get his mom treated, and thinks he is jerk. Ba Reun kneels down, and feels sorry.
The defendant lawyer asks judges to give him some time to prepare in the court, but Se Sang rejects it, and wants to wrap up.
Se Sang grumbles that the lawyer should spend his later years doing volunteer work, after the trial. But Ba Reun thinks Se Sang should be responsible for the situation.
Se Sang tells Cha Oh Reum and Ba Reun that the civic group leader’s trial will come up, and thinks he interprets the law. Ba Reun reveals the building owner interrupted the lead’s business, and kicked him out. The civic group leader filed a damage suit on his own, but he lacked evidence. Se Sang thinks evidence is the case, but Ba Reun thinks he cannot accepts the result because the building owner was the judge’s friend. Se Sang says that the civic group leader isn’t victim but perpetrator after ten years.
Just then the TV plays that the chairman of Daeryong Group was just released. Se Sang thinks he will see new protesters tomorrow.
Se Sang thinks Presiding Judge Kwon is under a lot if stress recently, when running into him at dinning room. Presiding Judge Kwon claims he did the right thing, Se Sang asks him what is the right thing. Presiding Judge Kwon claims he listened to what people said, and thinks justice is useless, if nation goes bankrupt.
Presiding Judge Gam meets Cha Oh Reum, and asks her to go through the records about his friend carefully. She asks him if he wants her to make a special arrangement. He denies, and claims he just wants a fair verdict.
She tells Ba Reun that Presiding Judge Gam committed a crime, and reveals he asked her to help Asia Cosmetics. She wants to file the formal complaint regarding it. He thinks she should be careful about it, and persuades her to talk to Se Sang first. But Se Sang doesn’t believe what she said, and goes to see Presiding Judge Gam.
Presiding Judge Gam claims he meant nothing, and reveals he just asked her to go through it carefully. But Se Sang thinks he shouldn’t do it as a senior judge. Presiding Judge Gam adds that Mr. Han helped him so much, and claims he is a human. Se Sang asks him if his kid’s tuition really came for his in-laws, and asks Presiding Judge Gam to look him in eyes. Presiding Judge Gam wants to explain it, but Se Sang ignores him, and leaves.
Se Sang goes to Chief Presiding Judge’s office, and reports it to him. Chief Presiding Judge calls someone after Se Sang left.
Bo Wang comes to Do Yeon’s office, and tells her he falls for her, and asks her out.
Cha Oh Reum gets a call from someone, and heads out. Presiding Judge Gam is arrested by two police officers. The senior judges are upset about it, and looks at Cha Oh Reum with dislikes.
