There’s a light shop where sells light bulbs in the alley. The shop owner is a handsome but strange man in Light Shop: Episode 1. He wears the sunglasses to run the store. He watches the shop where never closes. But you don’t know what the shop owner waits are strange customers.
The pretty girl who wears the white skirt is one of the customers. An office worker who gets off the bus will see the girl every night. She looks like a female ghost. The man notes that the woman sits at the bus stop. But she never get on the bus.
He finds out that there’s a hug suitcase in front of her. He thinks she’s waiting for the cab. He’s told that she lost her phone. He volunteers to help her look for her phone. But she asks him if he knows her. He doesn’t understand what she said.
He thinks his action was too presumptuous so that he leaves. Another night, the man sees the girl staying at the bus stop when it’s raining. He’s kind and he tries to hand over his umbrella to her. But she doesn’t accept the umbrella and she tells him that she’s cold.
She wishes to go to his house to take shelter from the rain. He’s surprised and he thinks he has a chance. He takes the girl home. He notes that she’s soaked so that he hands over a towel to her. But he’s startled when she takes over the towel. He notes that her nails are under her fingers. He’s scared. She takes out a sharp knife from her suitcase. She stares at the man weirdly.
She leaves his house and she goes to the light shop. Her eyes are fixed when she looks at the light bulb. There’re many lamps in the weird store. People follows the lights and find the place every night. Some people buy light bulb. But some people leave without ordering. The shop owner records it in the ledger after the customer ordered a light bulb.
It’s weird that the ledger is similar to the nursing Log of a nurse. Young-Ji is a nurse at the hospital. She always runs into some weird patients. The man cannot hear anything. He asks the nurses about the mortuary. The man disappears before Young-Ji answers him.
The man appears in the light shop. He looks at the light bulb. It seems that the hospital and the store are related. The girl Ji-Young leaves the store in the evening. She runs into a high school girl Hyun-Ju. Hyun-Ju’s mother asks the girl to come to the store buying light bulb everyday.
Hyun-Ju is always scared when she passes by the dark alley. The classmate reveals there was a person walking in the alley when the night fell. She adds that she heard weird song. Hyun-Ju passes by the alley. She hears the strange sound in the dark.
There’s a shadow at the end of the alley. Hyun-Ju doesn’t dare to go to look into it. She walks fast and she reaches the light shop. She knows the shop owner Won-Young well because she often came to buy light bulb. The girl tells him that she saw the ghost.
But he tells her that he can see it. He reveals the customers who visited the store with weird smell. He mentions there was a man coming to the shop. The man said that the heater was broke at his house. You will find out that there’re snow stains in his face if you look at him closely. He looks like that he’s freezing because of hypothermia.
Won-Young tells Hyun-Ju to pretend not to see them if she runs into the weird customers. She leaves the shop. He plays the light bulb. We find out that he’s an old man. Hyun-Ju’s mother asks Hyun-Ju to buy light bulb for her again on a rainy night. Hyun-Ju passes by the alley. She takes out the light Won-Young gave her.
She sees a strange and tall woman standing in the alley. Hyun-Ju is kind to share her umbrella with the woman. They walk together. Hyun-Ju finds out that the woman got taller and she became a female ghost. Hyun-Ju remembers Won-Young’s words.
She pretends to be calm and she says goodbye to the female ghost. But the female ghost rushes to Hyun-Ju. Hyun-Ju rushes to the light shop. She asks Won-Young to help her. He lets the girl leave. He takes off his sunglasses. He stares at the female ghost. She doesn’t go to chase Hyun-Ju after she saw Won-Young’s eyes.
There’s a short hair girl Sun-Hae moving into the house nearby the light shop. She chooses a quiet house. The landlady tells Sun-Hae that there’s a room she cannot use. Because the room is being repaired. Sun-Hae puts a curtain on the door of the room.
She begins to work in front of her laptop. But she hears a boy singing outside. She thinks she was tricked by the landlady. She endures the noise and she falls asleep. She doesn’t know there’s a shadow appearing on the wall. The shadow rises and she hugs Sun-Hae.
Sun-Hae reads book in the living room. The light is off suddenly. She thinks it was because of the old house. She doesn’t put it into her mind. The girl always hears the sound from the room where she cannot open. It seems that someone spied on her in the dark.
Sun-Hae opens the door. She sees a light in the room. She turns off the light. She hears the song the boy Ji-Woong sings. She opens the window and she asks him why he sings at midnight. He’s scared to run away. Because he saw a ghost.
Sun-Hae cannot turn on the light in her room. So she finds a flashlight. She walks into the bathroom and she begins to take a bath. She finds out that the drainpipe is full of the hair which doesn’t belong to her. She turns around and she finds out that the door of her room was opened.
The light is on in the room that cannot be opened. Ji-Woong runs to the alley. He runs into Ji-Young who’s with a suitcase. He tells her that he ran into Sun-Hae. He reveals he saw a woman behind Sun-Hae. But Sun-Hae couldn’t see the woman.
Meanwhile, Sun-Hae senses something unusual in her house. She knows there’s a female ghost hiding in her house. She thinks the light is off because the dirty stuff needs to hide in the dark. Ji-Young is interested in Sun-Hae’s case. She plans to go to look into the house.
Ji-Woong tries to stop Ji-Young. But he sees her nails. He falls to the ground because of fear. But she tells him that there’s no difference between him and her. He follows her sight and he finds out that his legs are twisted. He doesn’t know what happened. He cries to get up and he tries to leave the scary alley.
Sun-Hae wishes to leave as well. She tries to flee after she confirmed that there’s a female ghost in her house. She smashes the window after she failed to open the gate. She calls out the window for help. But nobody hears the two’s cries.
We go to the ICU of the hospital. A group of patients’ families wait outside. The doctor explains it to them that the patients’ recoveries depends on the their senses of survival. Young-Ji feels sad when she thinks about the tears from the patients’ families.
She hides in the restroom. Someone knocks at the door outside. It seems that it’s one of the patients’ families. The family asks Young-Ji where the patients’ senses of survival come from. Young-Ji cannot give the answer to the family. But she tells a story of her to the family.
She lost her consciousness after an accident. Her mother prayed and accompanied her. She tried to put her willpower into her body. Young-Ji woke up. She thinks she woke up because she and her mother’s willpower. She tells the family that her prayer and her company can turn into an invisible power.
Episode 2 of Light Shop ends with the family smashing the door. She shows up like a female ghost. She yells at Young-Ji. But the female ghost disappears after Young-Ji opened the door. Everything looks like an illusion.
