Sa-Eon hears his mother-in-law scolding Hee-Joo at the party in When The Phone Rings Episode 5. He asks Yeon-Hui why Hee-Joo cannot speak after his wife left. Yeon-Hui tells him that it was caused by the accident in Hee-Joo’s childhood.
Yeon-Hui reveals Hee-Joo’s younger brother lost his life and Hee-Joo’s older sister was deaf in the accident. The only healthy Hee-Joo couldn’t be fine. Sa-Eon tells Yeon-Hui that Hee-Joo is his wife. He disallows her to bully Hee-Joo.
Sa-Eon sees Hee-Joo off. He follows her. Meanwhile, he gets a call from 406. Hee-Joo hears the sound. She turns around. She’s shocked when she sees Sa-Eon. She’s flustered to hide the phone into the bag. She falls off the bench by mistake.
He rushes to her and he catches her. The two fall to the floor together. Sa-Eon mistakes that Hee-Joo wanted to end her life. He’s out of his mind right now. His caring turns into anger. He questions her why she stood on the bench. Her hiccup wakes up his reason. He realizes that his wife just talked with someone over the phone.
His phone is ringing at that time. She tries to flee. He puts on the coat for her. He lets her go. Do-Jae reports to Sa-Eon that he has tracked down the location of 406. It’s the meeting place Sa-Eon stays. Sa-Eon sees Hee-Joo getting in the elevator. He suspects that she’s 406.
But he thinks he’s crazy then. He worries that 406 will hurt his wife after he confirmed that the guy is at the meeting place. He runs to chase Hee-Joo. But the door of the elevator closes. He takes the stairs to chase her. He sees her who looks fine. He feels relieved.
The two return home. Sa-Eon checks Hee-Joo’s scar on her leg. He feels sorry for her that she was almost bitten by big dog when she was a kid. But she didn’t make any sound. His words remind her the memory of a long time ago.
It flashes back. Hee-Joo wants to be an anchor. But her mother doesn’t allow her to speak. So she has to practice secretly. Her mother finds the secret. She’s furious to slap her. Hee-Joo is sad to run away from home. A big dog blocks her way on the street.
The big dog jumps at her. She doesn’t dare to ask for help. She has to close her eyes helpless. Sa-Eon shows up. He drives away the big dog. He notes that her knee was hurt. He carries her home.
The next day, Sa-Eon thinks about the past. He’s distracted during the meeting. He goes to the restroom for calming himself down. The meeting continues after he took a break. He receives a message from Hee-Joo. Hee-Joo was told that she was hired to be the sign language interpreter of presidential office.
She was excited and she found out that the only one she can share the joy with is Sa-Eon. She sent an expression to him by mistake.
Sa-Eon looks at the expression. He has many questions. He cannot have meeting. He begins to study how to reply to Hee-Joo. He sends a message to her. He congratulates her on passing the interview. She feels relieved and she has a talk with him. He asks her to buy him a meal in the end.
Sa-Eon intends to buy a present for Hee-Joo. But he asks his followers’ opinion. Everyone’s opinion is different. Sa-Eon decides to take Do-Jae’s advice sending a formal dress of office workers to Hee-Joo. He texts Hee-Joo and he invites her to come to the clothing store after she’s off duty.
Hee-Joo goes to the clothing store. She tries on a formal dress. Sa-Eon thinks it’s suitable for her. He buys it. He lets her try on a skirt. He gets a call from Do-Jae when he waits for Hee-Joo to try on the skirt. Do-Jae reports to Sa-Eon that 406 is a woman.
Hee-Joo walks out of the fitting room. Sa-Eon walks to her. He thinks she’s pretty. The two are going to have dinner. But Hee-Joo gets a message from Sang-Woo. He congratulates her on passing the interview. He wishes to buy her a meal. Sa-Eon is jealous to ask his wife to accept Sang-Woo’s invitation.
Sa-Eon, Hee-Joo, Sang-Woo and You-Ri have a meeting. Sa-Eon treats Sang-Woo as his rival in love. But Sang-Woo knows Hee-Joo’s past. He knows the girl dreams to be an anchor. He saw her dancing in the broadcasting studio ever. He fell for her after he saw the beautiful scene.
Sa-Eon is angry to talk back that Hee-Joo only wants to work in the presidential office. Hee-Joo stops the two childish argument. She makes an excuse to go out. Sa-Eon gets a call from 406 again. He questions him if he heard Hee-Joo speaking.
Hee-Joo worries that her husband recognized her. He realizes that she cannot speak because Il-Kyeong’s real daughter is deaf. She mentions he refuses to let her go even if her older sister comes back. She asks him if he pities her.
He tries to confess his feelings to her. But a car comes at him. Hee-Joo rushes to Sa-Eon. She saves him. He dresses her wound and he remembers she called his name. She refuses to admit it. She thinks he heard wrong.
The next day, Hee-Joo comes to the presidential office to work. Sa-Eon worries that she cannot communicate with the colleagues. So he learns sign language from her. He plans to translate her words for the colleagues. The love gushes when he studies from her.
They open their hearts and they approach each other. The colleagues have a gathering after the work. Everyone welcomes Hee-Joo. Sa-Eon grills meat for the people for showing his good side to Hee-Joo. He uses the sign language to greet the colleagues.
Meanwhile, Do-Jae calls Sa-Eon out. They have a talk. Hee-Joo is nervous because she got a call from the kidnapper again. Sa-Eon was almost killed from the car accident. It was done by the kidnapper. The kidnapper witnessed Hee-Joo risking herself for saving Sa-Eon. He suspects that she wants to betray him.
He mentions he wanted to ruin Sa-Eon. But Hee-Joo saved Sa-Eon. He reminds her that Sa-Eon will know her true face soon. Do-Jae plays the recording for Sa-Eon. He asks him to think about the women who are around him between 25-29. Sa-Eon stares at Hee-Joo. He gets the answer.

The episode ends with Hee-Joo seeing Sa-Eon falling asleep in the car after the gathering. She carries her husband home. But they fall to the floor together. They have a kiss by mistake. Sa-Eon’s phone is ringing at that time. Do-Jae reports to Sa-Eon that Hee-Joo is 406.
