Seo-Hyun begs Joo-Won not to leak the location of her to Hae-Joon because she doesn’t want to be a obstacle of Hae-Joon in Family by Choice: Episode 13. But Joo-Won tells Seo-Hyun that she wants to thank Hae-Joon for bringing the happy life to her family.
Seo-Hyun cries. Joo-Won holds Seo-Hyun’s hand. She tells her that Hae-Joon is waiting for her. San-Ha and Joo-Won are in the car. Joo-Won wonders why everyone shouldered the pain on her own. San-Ha tells her that she is the same person. He mentions she didn’t leak she was hurt by the neighbor’s words.
He comforts her that Seo-Hyun and Hae-Joon will be fine. She takes a look at him. She asks him if he’s fine. She tries to speak out her worry. But he changes the subject and he mentions she thanked Hae-Joon. She learns that he’s jealous of Hae-Joon.
Hae-Joon takes Jung-Hee and So-Hee to San-Ha’s room. Jung-Hee takes a look at the room. She thinks San-Ha should live in a better place even if he only stays for one month. Hae-Joon asks Jung-Hee about it. But she scolds him because she thinks it’s their family matter. He claims that he’s a family to San-Ha. He leaves the room.
Hae-Joon calls San-Ha when San-Ha holds Joo-Won’s hand to get off the elevator. San-Ha is fast to put Joo-Won’s hand on his back. Hae-Joon is close to the strange couple. He questions them where they came from. He reports to San-Ha that his mother came.
San-Ha returns home. So-Hee is happy to hug him. She reveals they came because Jung-Hee wanted to see the sea. San-Ha walks into his room. Jung-Hee is waiting for him. The two have a fight. So-Hee breaks into the room. She stops them. San-Ha claims that he won’t return to Seoul. He leaves the room.
Jung-Jae is outside. He has a talk with Joo-Won over the phone about the lady. Madam overhears it. She’s very happy after realized that the guy is seeing a girl. Joo-Won and Hae-Joon have breakfast together. Joo-Won learns that San-Ha went to hospital after she asked Joon-Ho about it.
Hae-Joon gets angry. He thinks San-Ha should inform them before he left. He notes that Park Dal didn’t come home. He goes against it. But Joo-Won thinks it’s not a problem because Park Dal has been 29 years old. He mistakes that the girl is seeing a guy. He’s told that Park Dal went home for her mother’s birthday.
Joo-Won wonders why Hae-Joon cared for Park Dal. He claims that the girl is his sister. Joo-Won has a fight with Hae-Joon when they decide who delivers the belongings to San-Ha. Hae-Joon thinks Joo-Won concealed a secret from him. It makes her nervous. She worries that the guy will find out the love relationship of her and San-Ha.
She feels relieved after she knew Hae-Joon just thinks her wrist is in pain again. She shakes her wrist and she asks him if he wants to taste her fist. He goes to pack stuff for San-Ha. He finds the sleeping pills.
San-Ha is sleeping in his dormitory. He gets a message from Joo-Won. He learns that she’s going to come. He takes a pill and he goes to pick up her. She smiles to walk to him when she waves at him. She shows him the bag and she joins him.
She asks him if he had breakfast. He nods. She sneers because she knows he told a lie to her. She asks him to buy her a meal otherwise she will report it to her father. Hui-Ju arrives at the hospital. She stops when she sees San-Ha and Joo-Won.
Hae-Joon goes to Jung-Jae’s restaurant to help Jung-Jae. The customer recognizes Hae-Joon. She thinks he’s like his mother. Jung-Jae stops the customer. He calls Hae-Joon to the kitchen. Hae-Joon comforts Jung-Jae that mother won’t bother him. Madam shows up. She tells Hae-Joon that he’s going to get a mother. She whispers in his ear that his father is seeing a girl. Hae-Joon asks Jung-Jae for the red date tea. Jung-Jae learns that San-Ha has insomnia.
San-Ha takes Joo-Won to a restaurant. She complains it to him that Hae-Joon doesn’t know Park Dal has feelings for him. Jung-Jae calls Dae-Wook. He reports to him that Jung-Hee visited San-Ha.
San-Ha and Joo-Won are outside. She learns that his mother came to take him away. She allows him to leave because she thinks the distance isn’t a problem to their love. But he promises not to leave. He hugs her. It makes her happy.
Dae-Wook returns to Jung-Jae’s restaurant. He reports to Jung-Jae that he called Jung-Hee. But the woman didn’t pick up his phone. Jung-Jae persuades Dae-Wook to go to see San-Ha. But Dae-Wook claims that he doesn’t have lunch. Jung-Jae cooks for Dae-Wook.
Dae-Wook eats the food. Jung-Jae persuades Dae-Wook to remarried for resolving the problem. But Dae-Wook rejects it because he knows there’s no woman marrying him. He asks Jung-Jae about Seo-Hyun. Jung-Jae reveals the lady got on knees in front of the kids. He knows the poor lady suffered a lot in the past ten years. Dae-Wook asks Jung-Jae if he raised Hae-Joon because of the feelings for Seo-Hyun. Jung-Jae scolds Dae-Wook.
So-Hee visits San-Ha. She asks him to live with her. But he rejects it because he knows his mother won’t recover if she stays with him. Hui-Ju and Joon-Ho visit Joo-Won. Joo-Won learns that San-Ha wasn’t well. She gets a message from him. He informs her that he needs to take care of the patient.
San-Ha walks out of his office. His mother is waiting for him. She feels guilty for the death of her daughter. She asks him to take her to his place. Park Dal drinks beer at home. Hae-Joon visits her. She conceals the beer into the sink. She goes to open the door.
He finds the beer in the end. He scolds her. He learns that her mother was very happy after knowing she has a boyfriend. He volunteers to help her if she needs him to play boyfriend again. But she rejects it. He knows he’s not the lawyers and the doctors’ rival. But she disagrees. She tells him that he’s very handsome in her eyes.
San-Ha tries to take Jung-Hee to his dormitory. But they run into Joo-Won. Joo-Won reminds Jung-Hee that she gave San-Ha to her when she was a kid. She’s happy to take San-Ha away. The two are on the way home. Joo-Won yells at San-Ha after knowing he concealed his hardship from her. He confesses his feelings to her. He hugs her. San-Ha returns home. Hae-Joon scolds San-Ha after he found the sleeping pills San-Ha concealed. He reminds him that he loves his mother. It makes San-Ha cry.
The next day. Joo-Won is going to go out. She calls San-Ha and Hae-Joon. But the two don’t pick up her phone. She walks into their house. She finds out that the two are sleeping on the couches after they drank together. She tries to wake San-Ha up. But he drags her to the couch. He makes her sleep with him. He kisses her then.
Joo-Won and Jung-Jae are waiting for San-Ha and Hae-Joon at home. Joo-Won learns that Seo-Hyun isn’t ready for telling the truth to her son. She asks her father not to conceal a secret from her. He talks back that she will find it son because she’s very smart.
San-Ha and Hae-Joon arrive at the building. Hae-Joon mentions San-Ha cried. San-Ha worries that Hae-Joon will leak it to Joo-Won. He walks into the house and he sees the family is busy in preparing the meal. He smiles. The people begin to eat.
Jung-Jae wonders why San-Ha and Hae-Joon drank. San-Ha confesses that he had a hard time because his mother. He goes to see Seo-Hyun. He persuades her to tell Hae-Joon that she didn’t give up him. He thinks he was the only one who get given up. She comforts him.
Hae-Joon eats with Suk-Hoon and Jae-Eun. He cannot stand it after he witnessed Suk-Hoon kissing Jae-Eun. He remembers he saw Joo-Won kissing San-Ha on the couch. He’s furious to go to beat the couch. Joo-Won and San-Ha arrive. San-Ha holds Joo-Won’s hand after she asked him to do that.

Jae-Eun is drunk. She mentions Park Dal’s first love is her neighbor. Hae-Joon thinks the guy is San-Ha. He walks away. Jae-Eun denies it. Park Dal worries that Jae-Eun will tell Hae-Joon her secret. She pinches her leg. Hae-Joon goes to take beer.
Jae-Eun persuades Park Dal to let Hae-Joon know it. San-Ha takes Joo-Won to his house. He tries to kiss her. But Hae-Joon sees it. He’s shocked to stare at the two.
