San-Ha stops Joo-Won from going to the date in Family by Choice: Episode 11. He confesses his feelings to her. She makes an excuse that it’s the love of brother and sister. But he denies it. She goes to the convenience store to buy beer. She thinks about his confession.
Joo-Won returns home. Park Dal reminds Joo-Won that she has a date. Joo-Won receives some messages from the guy. He blames her after he learned that he got rejected. San-Ha is in his room. He laughs after he messed up Joo-Won’s date.
Joo-Won and Park Dal go out. They run into San-Ha. Joo-Won flees into her house. San-Ha and Park Dal are in the elevator. Park Dal complains it to San-Ha that Joo-Won forgot her date and she bought a lot of beers. It makes him laugh. She realizes that he has feelings for Joo-Won. He asks her to help him keep the secret.
Hae-Joon visits Joo-Won. He tells her that he wants to eat. She opens the fridge and she asks him to make a choice from the food. He tells her that he likes the food. She yells at him after she heard his confession. Jung-Jae and Dae-Wook eat at home. Jung-Jae is very happy because the kids are around him. Dae-Wook promises to buy some good beef back.
San-Ha is in the hospital. Joon-Ho reports to San-Ha that Joo-Won did go to the date. They guy thinks Joo-Won still has feelings for him. But San-Ha disagrees. Joo-Won works in her store. She waits for Sang-Ha’s messages. But the guy doesn’t text her.
Madam visits Jung-Jae’s restaurant. She runs into Hae-Joon. She persuades Jung-Jae to marry Joo-Won off. She reminds him that there’s no man helping Joo-Won if he passes away. Hae-Joon claims that he will help Joo-Won. But Madam points out that Hae-Joon will only care for his family once he gets married. Hae-Joon get a call from Realtor. Realtor asks Hae-Joon for the proof of family relations.
San-Ha calls Joo-Won. He reveals her father asked them to come to eat. But she offers to go separately. She claims that she needs to do market research. Park Dal sees that Joo-Won has feelings for San-Ha. She laughs. Joo-Won waits for San-Ha and Hae-Joon outside her house. She pretends to be happy. She takes them into the house.
The family gathers to eat. Dae-Wook grills meat for the kids. San-Ha notes that Joo-Won’s wrist was hurt. Hae-Joon asks Joo-Won to marry him because he wants to be her real family. But she’s not interested in his plan. San-Ha finds Joo-Won on the rooftop. She keeps distance from him. She offers not to hear his confession.
She tries to leave. But he grabs her hands. He asks her to give him a chance. San-Ha returns to the living room. Jung-Jae tells Hae-Joon and San-Ha that they’re his sons no matter what happens. Hae-Joon and San-Ha are in the car. Hae-Joon tells San-Ha that he needs a reason to come back.
Joo-Won returns to the living room. Dae-Wook is talking with his Jung-Hee over the phone. He learns that she only gave San-Ha a month to rest. But San-Ha is working in the hospital. Jung-Jae and Joo-Won are outside. Jung-Jae asks Joo-Won to give the red date tea to San-Ha. He worries about the boy.
Joo-Won is driving. She remembers San-Ha concealed his injury. San-Ha is in his room. He reads So-Hee’s messages. He remembers his mother gave him the nightmare. He takes the pill. He goes out and he rings the bell of Joo-Won’s door. She opens the door before he leaves. She gives the red date tea to him. She worries about him. But he claims that he’s fine.
Hae-Joon meets with Suk-Hoon in Joo-Won’s cake store. Suk-Hoon learns that Hae-Joon plans to marry Joo-Won. He lets his friend think about Joo-Won kissing him. Hae-Joon sees Joo-Won’s lips approaching him. He cannot endure it. Joo-Won holds Hae-Joon’s hand. It startles him. She asks him to compensate her. He cleans the store for her. She calls him older brother.
San-Ha meets with Dae-Wook at Jung-Jae’s restaurant. San-Ha still doesn’t tell his father the truth. It makes Dae-Wook get angry. San-Ha leaves the restaurant. Jung-Jae stops San-Ha outside. San-Ha notes that Jung-Jae’s back isn’t well. He tells him to come to his hospital.
Joo-Won accompanies her father to the hospital. She runs into San-Ha when he’s comforting the patient’s family. He joins her and he takes her to his office. He gives her left hand a treatment. She’s surprised that he knows her wrist is in pain. He whispers in her ear when she has feelings for him.
The female doctor tangles San-Ha in the lobby. She wishes to know if Hae-Joon has a girlfriend. Joo-Won witnesses it. She mistakes that the two are dating. She gets angry. But Jung-Jae is very happy because he plans to own a grandson. San-Ha sees Jung-Jae. He joins him. Jung-Jae learns that the girl dated Hae-Joon before.
Park Dal returns home. She’s startled by Joo-Won. Because Joo-Won is like a female ghost lying on the chair. Park Dal complains it to Joo-Won that her mother arranged a blind date for her. She thinks she won’t have heart-fluttering when she meets with the guy. Joo-Won remembers she had feelings for San-Ha when she was with him in the office.
Hae-Joon finds Yi-Hyun in the museum. She tears up after she saw him. She buys him a meal and she learns that his mother didn’t contact him. Hae-Joon parts with his aunt. He walks on the street. He sees his mother. He tails her. Jung-Jae walks on the street. A lady bumps him. She helps him pick up his stuff. He finds out that she’s Hae-Joon’s mother Seo-Hyun.
Park Dal shows up behind Hae-Joon. She pokes his shoulder. He turns around and wipes off his tears. She promises to keep the secret for him. But she asks him to be her boyfriend. He goes to a cafe with her. He learns that she wishes him to ruin her blind date. He decides to help her.
Seo-Hyun meets with Jung-Jae at another cafe. She reveals she has known that her son came back. He tries to call Hae-Joon. But she stops him because she doesn’t plan to see her son. He reveals Hae-Joon’s leg was hurt when he was in the United State. He persuades her to see Hae-Joon one time. But she leaves the cafe.

Jung-Jae follows Seo-Hyun on the street. He claims that he doesn’t want to regret. She cries to tell him that she killed someone. San-Ha and Joo-Won go to the restaurant. Joo-Won reveals she’s happy that San-Ha and Hae-Joon came back. She rejects San-Ha’s confession. The two walk out of the restaurant. It’s raining. They run to the tunnel. San-Ha kisses Joo-Won.
