This is the recap for Dear Hyeri: Episode 1. We go to 2015. Eun-Ho and Hyun-O are at home. Eun-Ho asks Hyun-O if he would save her if she was drowning. He doesn’t give her answer when he’s washing dishes. So she bites his leg. He goes to watch the news.
Eun-Ho turns off the TV. She asks Hyun-O to make a choice between her and nine o’clock news. He chooses nine o’clock news. He turns on the TV. But she cuts off the power. She asks him to make a choice again.
We go to 2017. Eun-Ho is cleaning floor at home. She asks Hyun-O to make a choice between her and the vacuum. She kicks him when she chases him. They’re on the couch. Eun-Ho asks Hyun-O to make a choice again. He chooses her this time. She points at the news on the TV. She tells him that she wishes to sit there. She strokes his face and she confesses her feelings to him.
The team leader Shin-Joong has a meeting with Eun-Ho. He asks her to do the afternoon news. She rejects it. Hyun-O volunteers to do the news. He’s happy to leave the meeting room. Shin-Joong throws a fit to Eun-Ho. He asks her to accept the task.
Hyun-O walks out of his office. Eun-Ho is waiting for him. She knows he volunteered to do the afternoon news for helping her. She thinks he didn’t have to do so. Because she prefers to be hated by others. He offers to move the afternoon news to the morning since she loves morning news so much. They do the news together in the morning then.
Shin-Joong returns to his office. He sees Eun-Ho. He’s startled. She asks him to explain why the host Seok-Jin didn’t show up. He explains that the host had a scheduling conflict. He adds that Hyun-O promised to take the duty. She wonders why she needed to show up since Hyun-O can do the show alone. He apologizes to her. She mentions she dated Hyun-O. She laughs to chase him when she wonders why two ex-lovers are co-emcees.
Ji-On eats with Eun-Ho in a cafeteria. He thinks she should feel thankful for showing up on a show. But she rejects it and she asks him to call her senior. He wonders why she didn’t date him. She reveals she likes the man who’s rude to everyone except her. He wants to change his style. She goes against it and she plans to take revenge.
The filming begins. The producer finds out that Eun-Ho changed her hairstyle. But she thinks it won’t affect the work. Eun-Ho steps on Hyun-O’s shoe with her heel. He doesn’t get angry. He blames her for her unprofessional and he thinks she would ruin the show. But she blames him for stealing her line instead. The assistant Jeon-Woo brings the clothes to Eun-Ho after Hyun-O left. He asks her to put it around her waist. He reminds her that her skirt ripped. He thinks she would have a serious accident if Hyun-O didn’t steal her life.
Ji-On meets with Eun-Ho at a cafe. He asks her not to hate Hyun-O because it makes him think that she still has feelings for Hyun-O. She offers to go on a date with him. She wants to eat pork belly. He goes against it. He offers to eat beef instead of the food. She agrees to it and they leave the cafe. They don’t know Hyun-O is at the cafe as well.
Hyun-O has a meeting with his team. He asks them to send Eun-Ho to cover the ocean waste. Mi-Yeon goes against it. She thinks nobody will accept the task. But Eun-Ho accepts the task when Mi-Yeon gives her the task. She gets a reason to reject Ji-On’s date. But she’s told that he will come to her.
Hyun-O falls asleep in his room. Mi-Yeon calls him and she wakes him up. She reports to him that Eun-Ho took a man to the shoot. She thinks it’s a date. Hyun-O asks Mi-Yeon to wrap up the shoot within one day. But she rejects it because it’s too hard.
Eun-Ho falls into the water when she covers the ocean waste on the beach. It makes Ji-On laugh. Mi-Yeon finds out that she misunderstood the guy. Ji-On continues to laugh when he’s in the room with Eun-Ho. Yoo-Yeon stops the guy. She thinks he hated Eun-Ho so that he came to watch Eun-Ho’s struggle. She reports to Eun-Ho that they don’t have any spare clothes. She worries that she will catch a cold.
Eun-Ho tells Yoo-Yeon that she’s fine even if she’s shivering with cold. Yoo-Yeon leaves. Ji-On throws the medicine to Eun-Ho. He asks her to take the medicine when he gives her the water. She mentions he just laughed at her. He explains it to her that he did it for not ruining her career. He invites her to go to his car. She’s not sure.
Eun-Ho is in Ji-On’s car. Ji-On sees the crew off. He takes off his clothes and he asks Eun-Ho to wear his clothes. He runs away. He drives her home and she thinks he’s a serious person. She gets off his car and she tries to leave. He stops her when he wonders why she wanted to see him. She doesn’t give him the reason. But she tells him that she still hates Hyun-O. She remembers Hyun-O rejected it when she wanted to marry him. She apologizes to Ji-On because she cannot accept him right now. But he tells her that he won’t give up. He kisses her when she mentions she’s 37 years old.
Hye-Ri wakes up from her dream. Her colleague Min-Young asks her about her dream. Hye-Ri goes to see the doctor Seung-Yoon. She reveals she was a announcer and she kissed a young guy in her dream. Seung-Yoon asks Hye-Ri if she’s in love. Hye-Ri laughs.
It flashes back. Hye-Ri takes the spot at the parking lot. She doesn’t allow anyone to touch the spot until Ju-Yeon comes. She works with Min-Young. Min-Young wonders why Hye-Ri likes Ju-Yeon. Hye-Ri reveals the guy was good but he was rude. She believes that the guy will love her deeply once he falls in love. She wonders what he’s doing.
Ju-Yeon watches the soldier movie at home. He gets a call from his mother who mistakes him for his brother Se-Yeon. He tells his mother that he’s Ju-Yeon. She hangs up. Ju-Yeon goes to the parking lot. Hye-Yeon is waiting for him. She invites him to have dinner with her. He rejects it. Min-Young thinks Ju-Yeon is dating Hye-Yeon. Hye-Ri denies it.
Ju-Yeon is off duty. Hye-Yeon asks him to make her wish come true. But he rejects it because he thinks it’s hard. She plans to make his wish come true. But she’s told that he wishes the world to end. Hye-Ri plans to be brave. But she hides herself when Ju-Yeon comes to pay the spot fee.
The madam comes to Media N Seoul with her followers after Ju-Yeon wronged their onion in the cover. Ju-Yeon runs into the madam in the lobby. He chooses to ignore her. But she carries a hoe and she tries to kill him. Hye-Ri shows up and she sees the madam grabbing Ju-Yeon’s collar when the madam yells at Ju-Yeon.
She uses a box to hit the madam. She takes Ju-Yeon to flee to the power room. The madam chases them to the power room when she swears to kill Ju-Yeon. Ju-Yeon covers Hye-Ri’s mouth. The madam is taken away by the guards. Ju-Yeon asks Hye-Ri if she was hurt. She’s moved to kiss him. She leaves.
Hye-Ri bikes home. She tries to walk into her house. But Hyun-O stops her when he calls her Eun-Ho. It makes her turn around. We return to the present. Hye-Ri reports to Seung-Yoon that she met with the person who appeared in her dream. But Seung-Yoon calls Hye-Ri Eun-Ho.
Epilogue: Hyun-O calls Hye-Ri Eun-Ho. He asks her what she’s doing there. She claims that she’s not Eun-Ho. So he asks her who she is.
