This is the recap for Rule the World Episode 5. Huang Taiji walks into his mother’s room. He’s furious to stop the doctors from leaving. He joins his mother and he thinks she wants to eat. Dong Ge shows up. She grabs Huang Taiji’s mother’s hand.
Huang Taiji’s mother asks Huang Taiji and Dong Ge to take care of each other. Huang Taiji promises his mother that Dong Ge is his life from now on. Dong Ge also promises to treat Huang Taiji as her only family. Huang Taiji’s mother lets Huang Taiji leave because she wants to tell something to Dong Ge alone.
Huang Taiji’s mother thinks Dong Ge and Huai Taiji are smart. But she thinks Dong Ge is too stubborn. Dong Ge tells her aunt not to worry about her. Huang Taiji’s mother Meng Gu thinks Nuer Hachi has feelings for Dong Ge because the king has waited for her for a long time.
But Dong Ge thinks the king only loves the title of the first beauty of Nvzhen. Meng Gu persuades Dong Ge that nobody can marry her except Nuer Hachi. Dong Ge swears not to get married. She asks Meng Gu not to leave her. Meng Gu mentions her mother told her to be silly. But she didn’t achieve it. She passes away. Huang Taiji returns when Dong Ge cries to ask Meng Gu to talk with her. He tears up and he gets on knees to his mother.
The girl Wu Shan tears up in the office after she read Bu Youran’s novel. The guy cares for Wu Shan and he asks her what happened. She cries to tell him that Meng Gu is too poor. He points out that it’s just a novel when he wipes off her tears. She asks him if men has treated women as accessories.
The guy points out that the modern women are freedom. He mentions he didn’t dare not to listen to her. So she asks him if he was cheating mentally. He reveals he just admired those pretty girls. She’s furious when she thinks the men are same. She thinks he just fell for her face. She cries to leave the office.
Nuer Hachi holds a banquet. The princess feeds him the red date. Dong Ge is in her room. She remembers Meng Gu told her that nobody can marry her except the king. Ge Dai shows up. Dong Ge is sad to tell Ge Dai that Meng Gu passed away.
Dong Ge hears the laughing from the banquet. Ge Dai reveals the king plans to give out the reward according to the credits. She adds that he let someone go to invite the prince. Ge Dai tries to go to prepare dinner for Dong Ge. But Dong Ge blames Nuer Hachi for celebrating after he lost his wife.
She learns that Ge Dai has reported Meng Gu’s case to Nuer Hachi. But the princess Gun Dai orders to delay it. Dong Ge wears a white dress to show up at the banquet. She tells Nuer Hachi that she came to congratulate him. Gun Dai thinks Dong Ge doesn’t know the rules.
She mentions the guests are chancellors and their wives. She asks Dong Ge about her position. Nuer Hachi stops Gun Dai. He tells Dong Ge that he knows she came for Meng Gu. He reveals he has heard the report. But she tells him that she came to congratulate him.
He lets the maid give the wine to Dong Ge. Dong Ge drinks up the wine. She praises Nuer Hachi for killing Mengge Bulu and his family. The guest Fu Erhan is furious to scold Dong Ge. Nuer Hachi stops Fu Erhan. He asks Dong Ge what she wants to say. She blames him for going against moral.
He thinks she’s crazy. She mentions he killed someone else’s wife and he held a banquet. She drinks up the wine and she thinks the princes would think about their mothers if they were there. She claims that she cannot enjoy the happiness. She leaves the banquet.
Gun Dai gets angry. She thinks they should punish Dong Ge. Nuer Hachi stops her. Dong Ge returns to her room. Ge Dai asks her if Nuer Hachi got angry. Nuer Hachi is furious to show up. He asks Dong Ge if she knows what she said. Ge Dai asks him to calm down.
But he wants to kill her. Dong Ge blames Nuer Hachi for scaring a little girl. She lets Ge Dai leave. Nuer Hachi grabs Dong Ge’s neck. He tells her that he won’t forgive her even if she asks for death. She tells him to kill her but she asks him not to do so in the room of Meng Gu.
He releases her and he wonders why the servants didn’t clean the room since Meng Gu passed away yesterday. She reminds him that nobody had time to deal with the funeral of Meng Gu because they were busying in his banquet. He asks her to return to her room.
But he asks her if he had feelings for Meng Gu. He claims that women are like lands to him. He thinks men always look for a new goal. He tells her that he wants to get her. She mentions Great Ming. She thinks he will never get the empire.
But he claims that he will get it. He believes that Dong Ge will be on his side when the day comes. Dong Ge mentions Nuer Hachi didn’t cherish Meng Gu after he got her. She thinks he’s the husband her aunt worshiped like God.
He asks Nuer Hachi if he’s heartless. He asks him if he saw Meng Gu when Meng Gu was sick. She reminds him that the lady is dead when she tears up. She asks him if it’s not important that the lady is dead. She thinks he can marry many women after the one passed away.
She reminds him that he cannot exchange the dead one even if all of the women belong to him. She yells at him and she thinks he will never make up the regret. Nuer Hachi promises to bury Meng Gu. He swears not to let himself lose Dong Ge. He leaves Meng Gu’s room.
Dong Ge comes to Meng Gu’s funeral. The prince asks Huang Taiji not to say anything to make Dong Ge unhappy. Dong Ge pays her respect to Meng Gu. She asks her aunt if she saw them sending her off. The prince persuades Dong Ge that Meng Gu wouldn’t wish to see her feeling sad for her. He lets Dong Ge and Huang Taiji accompany Meng Gu. He leaves the funeral. Huang Taiji swears to ruin Ye He.
Huang Taiji holds the funeral. Some women are tied on the firewood. Huang Taiji plans to burn them. Dong Ge arrives. She tries to stop it. But Nuer Hachi threatens to stun her. Dong Ge points at the shaman. She thinks he’s just an ordinary person.
But Nuer Hachi tells her that the shaman is a god. She thinks it’s too cruel. But he claims that it’s the order of heaven. She bites him and she tries to stop the people. But Huang Taiji blocks her way. She asks him if his mother will be happy to leave if he burns her maids.
The shamans surround Dong Ge. She tries to go to save the maids. Huang Taiji stops her when he thinks it’s heaven’s intention. But she thinks it’s going to rain. The shamans go to light the firewood. Dong Ge blames the shamans. It’s thundering. The shaman is hit by the lightning.
The prince Dai Shan rides his horse to show up. The shaman tells the people that it’s the god’s order. Huang Taiji sees his mother’s coffin burned. He tries to run to the coffin. Nuer Hachi stops him when he thinks he’s crazy like Dong Ge. He throws him to the ground and he tells him to calm down.
He catches him and he thinks he should feel happy for his mother for being burned. It’s raining. The shaman is excited to tell Nuer Hachi that Dong Ge can help him get the world. Nuer Hachi laughs to hug Dong Ge. He tells her that she belongs to him. He lifts her.
Dong Ge rides horse with Da Shan in the mountain. She stops the horse and she think it was a satire. He agrees to what she said. He mentions Meng Gu left without peace. She mentions the prophecy of the shaman. She thinks Nuer Hachi won’t forgive her.
Da Shan believes that they can change it because they’re young. But Dong Ge points out that Meng Gu was young before. But she passed away after she worked hard for Nuer Hachi. Dong Ge thinks she has to die if Nuer Hachi forced her to marry him.
She mentions Meng Gu wished her and Huang Taiji to take care of each other. But she brought trouble to the Huang Taiji. Dai Shan reminds Dong Ge that she promised him to leave with him. He hugs her and he asks her to give him some time.
Ge Dai brings hot water to Dong Ge when Dong Ge is packing her stuff in the room. She promises to do anything she asks her to do. Dong Ge reveals she’s going to leave the place. But Ge Dai gets on knees to Dong Ge when she’s against her plan.
Dong Ge helps Ge Dai up. She tells her to pretend not to know anything. Ge Dai asks Dong Ge where she’s going to go. Dong Ge thinks the place isn’t her home. She decides to leave the place since her aunt passed away. She believes that there will be a place she can live.
But Ge Dai reminds Dong Ge that she will be caught. Dong Ge knows Nuer Hachi won’t kill her. She thinks she has a hope as long as she flees. Ge Dai mentions Meng Gu asked Dong Ge to take care of Huang Taiji. She asks her what the prince will do if she leaves.
Dong Ge knows she lets Meng Gu and Huang Taiji down if she does so. But she worries that Huang Taiji will get involved if she stays there. She asks Ge Dai to say sorry to Huang Taiji for her. Ge Dai mentions Dai Shan loves Dong Ge deeply.
Dong Ge asks Ge Dai to give the letter and the ring to Dai Shan. Ge Dai decides to help Dong Ge since she made the decision. She volunteers to wear her clothes. But Dong Ge is against it because she knows Nuer Hachi won’t forgive Ge Dai if he knows it.
She cries to tell Ge Dai that she cannot get her involved. She hugs her and she tears up. Gun Dai is in her room. The maid reports to her that Dong Ge dressed up to be Ge Dai when she claimed that she’s going to go to Dai Shan’s palace.
Gun Dai laughs after she heard the good news. She reveals she wanted to look for Dong Ge’s mistake. Ge Dai is in Dong Ge’s room. She hits herself with a box. She passes out. Ha Min visits Gun Dai. Gun Dai learns that A Runa has reported the case to Ha Min.
But Ha Min thinks the case is weird. She thinks Dong Ge wouldn’t go to see Dai Shen since she was seen by Gun Dai’s maid. But Dong Ge left according to what the guard said. She wonders if Dong Ge didn’t fear Gun Dai reports it to Nuer Hachi. Gun Dai agrees to what Ha Min said that it’s weird.
Huang Taiji hands over his handkerchief to Ge Dai in the room. He mistakes that Dong Ge stunned Ge Dai for fleeing. But Ge Dai denies it. She confesses it to him that she hurt herself. She reveals she wanted to pretend to be stunned so that she can report it to Nuer Hachi later.

He thinks she was stupid. He tells her that she cannot save her master even if she hurt herself. He asks her what Dong Ge asked her to do. She takes out the ring and the letter. She reveals Dong Ge asked her to give it to Dai Shan. But he burns the letter because he thinks it’s an evidence.
