This is the recap for Story of Kunning Palace: Episode 6. Madam Meng tells Jiang Xuening that she won’t have life to enjoy it even if she becomes empress. Jiang Boyou stops his wife. He persuades Jiang Xuening that her mother said so because she cared for her.
Jiang Boyou reminds Jiang Xuening that the palace is a scary place. He persuades her to be safety. Jiang Xuening tells her father that she’s tired. She returns to her room. The maid worries about Jiang Xuening. She tells her that they’re outside. They leave.
Jiang Xuening remembers she pretended that her handkerchief dropped. Shen Jie picked up the handkerchief for her. He recognized her. She thinks she got the bad ending because she took Jiang Xuehui’s position. She realizes that her ambition caused the result.
She wonders why everyone pushed her to make a move when she wanted to make a change. She mentions there was an invisible putting everything back. She opens the window and she looks at the moon. She wonders if Yan Lin and Zhang Zhe have the same endings.
Jiang Xuening tells herself not to give in. She believes that there will be a new method. Xie Wei is in his study. He scolds Jian Shu for not reporting it to him that Xue Yuan reached his hand in the marquis’s house. Jian Shu slaps himself.
Lv Xian stops Jian Shu. He reveals Zhou Yinzhi is just a groom. He mentions Zhou Yinzhi and Xie Wei came to the capital together. Xie Wei thinks Zhou Yinzhi got a talent because he was born from a poor family. He decides to go to meet with him.
Lv Xian reports to Xie Wei that Gong Yicheng sent the killer to assassinate him for reminding him his identity. Xie Wei wonders if Gong Yicheng can go back alive. Jiang Xuening meets with Zhou Yinzhi when Yan Lin grills meat for them at the pavilion. Yan Lin goes to take wine.
Jiang Xuening mentions what she told Zhou Yinzhi not to offend Yan Lin. He thinks there would be someone doing so even if it wasn’t him. He asks her to help him resolve the chess game. She learns that Xue Yuan wished to make the evidence that Yan Mo worked with Pingnan Prince. Zhou Yinzhi reveals he found a big case when he looked for Yan Mu’s handwriting.
Zhou Yinzhi sneaked into Yan Mu’s study. He found Pingnan Prince’s emblem from the ashes. Jiang Xuening asks Zhou Yinzhi to tell Yan Lin about what he found. Xie Wei visits Yan Lin. He wonders why the tree doesn’t bloom. Yan Lin reveals the tree hasn’t bloomed after his aunt passed away.
Xie Wei smells the charcoal smell from Yan Lin’s body. He realizes that Yan Lin was grilling meat in the yard. He wishes to eat with him. Xie Wei eats with Yan Lin, Zhou Yinzhi and Jiang Xuening. Jiang Xuening worries about it because Xie Wei saw her with Zhou Yinzhi.
Zhou Yinzhi goes to take meat. Xie Wei tries to take charcoal. It startles Jiang Xuening. Yan Lin laughs when he mentions Jiang Xuening feared Xie Wei. Jiang Xuening feeds Yan Lin the meat. Xie Wei blames Jiang Xuening for treating Yan Lin so.
Jiang Xuening explains it to Xie Wei that Yan Lin likes to eat hot food. She persuades Yan Lin to drink the wine. But Xie Wei scolds Jiang Xuening. Because he worries that the wine will hurt Yan Lin’s body. She agrees to what he said. She drinks the wine.
Yan Lin and Xie Wei walk out of the house. Jiang Xuening is drunk. Yan Lin persuades her to sleep over at his house. But she wants to go home. Xie Wei comforts Yan Lin that he can send Jiang Xuening to Jiang family because he intends to talk about a case with Jiang Boyou.
Xie Wei and Jiang Xuening are in the carriage. He lets her get up because he knows she pretends to be drunk. She laughs to praise him. He asks her if she’s close to Zhou Yinzhi. She denies it. She mentions Zhou Yinzhi took Jiang family to find them. She thinks they have a little friendship.
She claims what Zhou Yinzhi wants to do isn’t related to her. She reveals the guy wanted to help Xue family deal with Yan family. But she convinced him. Xie Wei believes that Jiang Xuening won’t hurt Yan Lin. He wishes her not to care for it. He threatens her that she won’t protect herself if she does so.
Jiang Xuening asks Xie Wei about him and Yan Lin’s relationship. She believes what he wants to hide is related to Yan family. She tells him that she doesn’t want any danger appearing next to Yan Lin. Someone shoots Jiang Xuening. Xie Wei gets off the carriage. He asks Jiang Xuening to pretend not to see anything.
Zhou Yinzhi reports to Yan Lin that he came to the marquis house for hurting him. He asks him for the punishment. He reveals Jiang Xuening asked him to do so. Zhou Yinzhi tells Yan Lin that his father actually got a letter from Pingnan Prince. Yan Lin is shocked.
He walks into Yan Mu’s room when Yan Mu is drinking. Yan Mu invites Yan Lin to drink with him. Yan Lin mentions Xingwu Guards are looking into the rebels of Pingnan Prince. He adds that someone thought it’s related to Yan family.
Yan Mu tells Yan Lin that he cannot forget what those people did. He mentions Yan Lin’s cousin Xue Dingfei. Yan Lin knows Xue Dingfei was killed by Pingnan Prince for protecting Emperor. He thinks there was another reason about Xue Dingfei’s death.
Yan Mu reveals he received a letter from Pingnan Prince who told him that Xue Dingfei is in his hands. Yan Lin persuades Yan Mu that Pingnan Prince said so for making Yan family and Xue family have a fight. But Yan Mu tells Yan Lin that the one who did something bad was Xue family.
He reveals his letter is in Pingnan Prince’s hands. Yan Lin wonders why his father left the weakness. Yan Mu emphasizes that it’s Yan Lin’s cousin. He mentions Fei Dingfei’s mother stared at him before she passed away. He’s furious to think that it was unfair to a kid.
Xie Wei appears at the house. He holds an umbrella when it’s raining. Jian Shu reports to him that the people are in the house. Xie Wei walks into the house. Gongyi Cheng is waiting for him. He reminds Xie Wei the thing the prince asked him to do.
He thinks Xie Wei knows the prince wishes Yan family and Xue family to have a fight. Xie Wei reveals he made friends in the capital for doing it. But Gongyi Cheng knows Xie Wei told a lie. He wonders why Xie Wei stopped Xingwu Guards from looking into Yan family. He thinks he’s not loyal.
Xie Wei asks Gongyi Cheng about the killer of Cengxiao Restaurant. He returns the jade pendant to him. He threatens not to wait to be killed. He tries to leave. But Gongyi Cheng’s bodyguards put the swords on Xie Wei’s neck. Jian Xue puts his sword on Gongyi Cheng’s neck at the same time.
Xie Wei tells Gongyi Cheng to be careful because the capital is his place. Gongyi Cheng reminds Xie Wei that his life was given by the prince. He thinks he will have a bad ending if he flatters both sides. Xie Wei leaves the temple.
Jiang Xuening is in the yard to watch the peach flowers. The maid reports to her that Yan Lin isn’t well. Jiang Xuening runs into the room when Yan Lin is drunk to lie against the bed. She helps him sit on the bed. She finds out that he has a fever. She tries to go to invite a doctor.
He hugs her to keep her. He apologizes to her. But she regrets for not repaying him. He thinks he was so stupid not to know what will happen tomorrow. He believes that she won’t know how to deal with the rumor if Yan family suffers.
She’s surprised that he didn’t suspect her. He reveals he has trusted her. She thinks he’s a fool. He tells her that he was the one who was nice to him except his father. But she points out that she let him know everything. He regrets for growing up so late. Jiang Xuening persuades Yan Lin to overcome the hard moment with her. He offers not to cry.
Zhou Yinzhi walks in the yard at his house. He thinks there’s nobody caring for the life of a leaf. He tells his wife that he won’t trust any side. Xue Ye breaks into Xue Yuan’s room. He reports to him that their silk boat capsized. He reveals there was someone making a hole under the boat. Xue Yuan lets Xue Ye look into it.
Xie Wei feeds fish in the yard. Lv Xian reminds Xie Wei that they will be over if Gongyi Cheng reports them. He thinks he shouldn’t provoke Gongyi Cheng. Xie Wei points out that Pingnan Prince won’t kill him because he’s very useful.
He thinks Pingnan Prince wants to use Xue Yuan to kill Yan family. Xie Wei tells Lv Xian that Xue Yuan won’t care for Yan family if Xue Yuan is busy. Jian Shu reports to Xie Wei that Xue Yuan is running a silk business. Lv Xian thinks he should earn money from the silk before the message doesn’t get spread.
Boss Xu shows his ledger to You Fangyin. He worries that she will lose money because the silk price doesn’t rise. She reveals she will gather the money and return it to her boss. He thinks she’s loyal to her boss. She reveals her boss is her benefactor.
You Fangyin doesn’t know why Jiang Xuening looked at her with sadness. But she wants to repay her for her grace. She believes that Jiang Xuening will be happy if she earns a lot of money for her. She asks Boss Xue not to sell her silk to anyone. She leaves his store.

Lv Xian walks into Xu Wenyi’s store. He introduces himself to Xu Wenyi. Lv Xian returns to Xie Wei’s house. He’s hurt by Dao Qin. Xie Wei realizes that Lv Xian didn’t complete the task. Lv Xian reveals the silk was bought by a girl. But he doesn’t know who’s the boss of the girl. Xie Wei lets Dao Qin go to look into the boss.

Jiang Xuening thinks she should do something to help Yan family. Bao Ying brings the snack to Jiang Xuening. Fang Miao joins them to eat. Jiang Xuening doesn’t eat because she doesn’t like sweet. You Yue breaks into the room. She wants to ask Jiang Xuening about something.
