These are the Recap & Ending Explained for Solo Leveling: Episode 2. Sung Jin-Woo and other hunters face the death threat from the God. He tries his best to help the hunters avoid the death. But the hunters betrays him.
Everyone Is Ant Under the Powers of the God
The hunters are scared after they saw the stone statue used the laser. Mr. Song tells them not to move because he worries that the stone statue will attack them again. He thanks Sung Jin-Woo for saving them. He believes that Sung Jin-Woo told them to get down because he knew the stone statue would do that.
Sung Jin-Woo denies it. He reveals he just had a feelings that they were in danger. He finds out that Mr. Song lost one of his hands. Mr. Song asks Sung Jin-Woo to dress his wound. He thinks he should let Joo-Hee heal him but Joo-Hee is too weak.
He mentions Joo-Hee took part in simple task even if she’s a B-Rank Hunter. He reveals he took part in some B-Rank tasks. He takes a look at the stone statue. He believes that he’s a S-Rank stone statue. He mentions the rules in the slate. Sung Jin-Woo realizes that the stone statue is the God.
Sung Jin-Woo’s sister Sung Jin-Ah walks into the classroom. Her classmate hears Sung Jin-Ah’s brother is a hunter. Sung Jin-Ah admits it. But she reveals her brother was always hurt because he’s just an E-Rank Hunter. The classmate believes that she wouldn’t be hurt if she was Sung Jin-Woo.
Paying Respect to the God
Mr. Song thinks they’re not the stone statue’s rivals. He tells Sung Jin-Woo to catch the chance to flee. But the hunter doesn’t want to die there because he just signed a contract with a big guild. He believes that he has fled before the stone statue hurts him.
He tries to run to the gate. But the stone statue uses the laser to kill him. The female hunter screams when she sees the legs of the hunter. Sung Jin-Woo thinks the stone statue is different from the monsters they saw before. He asks Mr. Song about the first rule.
Mr. Song mentions the rule that it requires them to pay their respect to the God. Sung Jin-Woo stands up. The God is going to use his laser. He drops his laser when Sung Jin-Woo pays his respect to him. He tells the hunters to get on their knees to the stone statue.
He reveals the God won’t hurt them if their heads are below a certain height. The God smiles after the hunters got on their knees to him. The hunters are happy after they found out that the God didn’t take action. But the God stands up from his throne. Mr. Song asks Sung Jin-Woo for the method. But Sung Jin-Woo doesn’t know what to do. He thinks they should praise the God.
Praising the God
The hunter volunteers to do the job. He claims that he knows how to praise God. He prays to the God. But the God kills him. The hunters are scared to flee. Sung Jin-Woo thinks about how to praise the God when he takes Joo-Hee to flee.
He sees a stone statue who holds a musical instrument. He tells the hunters to flee to the stone statue. Mr. Song reaches the stone statue who holds a musical instrument. He informs the hunters that the stone statue doesn’t attack him.
Sung Jin-Woo reaches the stone statue who holds a musical instrument with Joo-Hee. But he finds out that the stone statue doesn’t play. He thinks there should be only one who hides under the stone statue. So he runs away. He reaches the stone statue but he’s hurt by another stone statue. The stone statue sings. Sung Jin-Woo realizes that it’s the answer that praising the God.
Joo-Hee joins Sung Jin-Woo. She finds out that his leg is broken. She tries to heal him. She vomits blood. The hunter thinks it was Mr. Song’s judgment that he lost his hand. Mr. Song thinks he should take the duty because he got everyone involved.
Proving Your Faith
The God lets the altar appear. Sung Jin-Woo mentions there should be one sacrifice on the altar. He mentions the third rule that Proving Your Faith. Mr. Kim puts his sword on Mr. Song’s neck. He asks him to take the duty as a leader.
Mr. Song walks to the altar. Sung Jin-Woo thinks it wasn’t Mr. Song’s mistake. Because the plan was decided by everyone. There’s only one flame even if Mr. Song walked to the altar. Sung Jin-Woo asks the hunters to carry him to the altar because he intends to look into the altar.
Sung Jin-Ah goes to the hospital to see her mother. Sung Jin-Woo goes to the altar with the two hunters. He asks Mr. Kim and Joo-Hee to come to the altar as well. The door opens. The stone statues move and they come to the altar.
Joo-Hee cries. Sung Jin-Woo tells the hunters not to look away the stone statues. But the hunter is scared to rush to the gate. She flees. Sung Jin-Woo believes that the God plans to use the door to test them. The hunter gives up Sung Jin-Woo. He runs away as well.
Sung Jin-Woo Is Betrayed by the Hunters
Sung Jin-Woo tells the rest hunters not to flee. He believes that they can leave the place after the blue flames are out. But Mr. Kim worries that they will be locked in the dungeon if the blue flames are out. He thanks Sung Jin-Woo for helping them. But he doesn’t want to be killed because his family are waiting for him.
He drops his sword and he flees. Sung Jin-Woo doesn’t want to give up. But Mr. Song tells Joo-Hee to take away Sung Jin-Woo. He believes that the door won’t close when he’s on the altar. But Joo-Hee cannot move her legs. Mr. Song realizes that she did it too much when she healed Sung Jin-Woo.
Sung Jin-Woo asks Mr. Song to take Joo-Hee to leave the dungeon. He points out that there’s nobody carrying Joo-Hee if he doesn’t leave. Joo-Hee tries to persuade Sung Jin-Woo. But he mentions he promised to buy her a meal. He hands over the magical stone to her.
He promises to go to see her after she leaves. She yells at him because she knows he told her a lie. Mr. Song stuns Joo-Hee. He takes her to leave the dungeon. Sung Jin-Woo sees the two off. He feels happy because he knows the only one who will be killed is him.
Episode 2 of Solo Leveling ends with Sung Jin-Woo holds the sword when the stone statues come to him. He decides to kill one of the stone statues. But his hand is cut off by the stone statue. He blames Mr. Kim for betraying him. He doesn’t wish to die when the stone statue tries to kill him. But the system informs Sung Jin-Woo that he completed the task.
