Destined With You: Episode 14 Recap & Review
Note: From here on out there are specific plot spoilers for Destined With You: Episode 14.
But Shin-Yu tells Jung-Beom that he has called police. Jung-Beom runs away. Hong-Jo opens the door. She looks around and she calls Shin-Yu. But he doesn’t pick up her phone. She finds Shin-Yu in the hallway. Her phone drops. She cries to wake him up.
Shin-Yu apologizes to Hong-Jo. He puts his bloody hand on her face. She takes him to the hospital. The doctor asks Hong-Jo about Shin-Yu’s blood type when he carries Shin-Yu. But she doesn’t know it. She tries to follow the doctor. But she’s stopped by the nurse.
Mu-Jin shoots the tree. The follower asks Mu-Jin if he plans to shoot at night. Mu-Jin denies it. He reveals he’s going to watch fireworks. Another follower reports to Mu-Jin that his father summoned him. Mu-Jin goes to see his father Master Jang.
Master Jang asks Mu-Jin to marry a girl. But Mu-Jin rejects it. Master Jang yells at Mu-Jin. He blames him for falling for a lowly girl. He tells him that he won’t see Aeng-Cho if he doesn’t marry the girl. Mu-Jin goes to the festival to look for Aeng-Cho. He finds her.
Mu-Jin hugs Aeng-Cho when she blames him for his late. He asks her to run away with him. She walks out of her house. He’s waiting for her. He wonders why she didn’t pack her stuff. She thinks she won’t get together with him because she has seen his future.
But Mu-Jin doesn’t want to accept the destiny. Aeng-Cho reminds Mu-Jin that he cannot go against his fate. She thinks he won’t be happy if he runs away with her. He wonders if she will be fine if he marries another woman. She tells him that she doesn’t love him too much to make her run away with him.
Master Jang lets his follower hurt the shaman. Aeng-Cho asks Master Jang to leave because she has done what he asked her to do. He leaves with his followers. Aeng-Cho tears up when the shaman feels painful. She hugs her. The lady visits Aeng-Cho. She tells her to go to the palace with her.
Queen throws the spell book to Aeng-Cho. She asks her if she wrote the spell book. Aeng-Cho denies it. Queen tells Aeng-Cho that she needs a son. She throws the money to her. She asks the maid to arrange a house for Aeng-Cho. Queen tells Aeng-Cho that she will kill her if she lets someone see her.
But Aeng-Cho tells Queen that she needs to go to market to buy the ingredients for the spell. She runs in the palace. Mu-Jin sees her. He tails her. She hides somewhere and makes him not see her. She shows up and she goes to check if he leaves.
But Mu-Jin appears behind Aeng-Cho. He asks her why she’s in the palace. She cries to tell him that she told a lie to him that her affection isn’t strong. She tries to confess her feelings to him. He hugs her. She goes out with him. He picks the flower from the tree. He puts the flower on her hair. He tells her that she’s pretty. He smiles to walk away.
Mu-Jin shoots the target. He tells Aeng-Cho to try it. She takes over the bow from him. He hugs her to teach her to shoot. She hits the target. She smiles. Mu-Jin plans to go home. But the bodyguard stops him. He asks him if he knows the shaman who casts spells in the palace. Mu-Jin doesn’t answer the bodyguard.
Aeng-Cho casts the spell when Queen gives birth. The prince is born. Queen asks Aeng-Cho to put the curse on the crown prince because she wishes her son to be the crown prince. She asks her to make a choice between herself and Mu-Jin.
Aeng-Cho casts the spell. The crown prince spits blood when he studies. The king tells the bodyguard to go to arrest Aeng-Cho. Aeng-Cho is arrested. The king punishes her. He lets his followers burn all of the spell books. Aeng-Cho tells the king that she didn’t put the curse on the crown prince.
The king asks Aeng-Cho to confess who asked her to do so. But she points out that he knows who was the person. He yells at her. He’s furious to take over the sword from the bodyguard. He tries to kill Aeng-Cho. But she tells him that he will be cursed if he does so.
The king throws away his sword. He tells the bodyguard to lock Aeng-Cho in a well. Queen worries that Aeng-Cho will tell her secret to others. She tells her follower not to kill Aeng-Cho until Aeng-Cho completed the spell book. Aeng-Cho feels painful when she’s sealed in the well. She passes out when she hears the sound outside.
Mu-Jin kills all of the guards. He opens the seal. He calls Aeng-Cho and he wakes her up. He reaches out his hand to her. He tells her to grab his hand. She tries her best to grab his hand. He saves her from the well. He takes her to ride the horse. They flee.
Mu-Jin Has A Reason to Betray Aeng-Cho
Mu-Jin takes Aeng-Cho home. He takes care of her. He sees her hand. He realizes that it’s the price that she used the black spell. He reveals Consort Jung wished to get the last spell book Aeng-Cho wrote. He tells Aeng-Cho to give the book to Consort Jung.
But Aeng-Cho rejects it because she doesn’t trust Consort Jung. Mu-Jin asks Aeng-Cho to trust him. He takes a look at the wooden box when she falls asleep. She wakes up and finds out that he took away her wooden box. Mu-Jin rides the horse on the snow. He carries the wooden box.
The bodyguard shoots Mu-Jin. Mu-Jin falls off the horse. The bodyguard walks to Mu-Jin. He reveals he will get the land if he catches Aeng-Cho. He smiles to tell Mu-Jin that he wants to catch the chance. Mu-Jin wonders if the bodyguard doesn’t fear the curse.
The bodyguard tries to leave. But Mu-Jin stops him. The bodyguard reminds Mu-Jin that he cannot defeat him because he was hurt. Mu-Jin takes out his sword. The chief bodyguard lets other bodyguards take Mu-Jin’s wooden box. The bodyguards rush to Mu-Jin.
Mu-Jin fights with the bodyguards. He takes a look at the chief bodyguard. Aeng-Cho prays when Mu-Jin fights. He’s hurt when he picks up the wooden box. The bodyguards break into Aeng-Cho’s house. They find out that she ran away. The chief bodyguard finds Aeng-Cho when she walks in the snow mountain.
The chief bodyguard lets the bodyguard shoot Aeng-Cho. But the bodyguard doesn’t take action. The chief bodyguard realizes that the bodyguard fears the curse. Mu-Jin shows up. He tells the chief bodyguard that he will do it. The chief bodyguard is surprised that Mu-Jin is alive.
Mu-Jin asks the chief bodyguard to leave Aeng-Cho to him. The chief bodyguard reminds Mu-Jin that his family will be hurt if he helps Aeng-Cho. Mu-Jin gets off the horse. He walks to Aeng-Cho. He stabs her and tells her that he’s going to accept the curse.
Mu-Jin reveals Aeng-Cho will be dismembered if she gets caught. He doesn’t wish her to be dismembered. He offers to be happy with Aeng-Cho if there’s a next life. He cries. She puts the bloody hand on his face. She passes out in his arms.
Hong-Jo Avoids Shin-Yu
The doctor saves Shin-Yu. He takes him to the operating room. Hong-Jo parts with Shin-Yu. She tears up. The cop tells Hong-Jo that the culprit was Jung-Beom after he checked the CCTV. But he didn’t catch Jung-Beom. He hands over the smartwatch to Hong-Jo. He tells her to call him when she’s in danger. He leaves.
Yoon-Joo shows up with Se-Heon when she cries. She wonders what happened. She sees Hong-Jo. She realizes that she’s Shin-Yu’s girlfriend. Hong-Jo admits it. Se-Heon wonders why his son was hurt. Hong-Jo apologizes to Se-Heon. Jae-Gyeong finds Hong-Jo. He asks her if she’s fine.
Hong-Jo denies it. She asks Jae-Gyeong about the surgery. He reveals the surgery was good. He adds that Shin-Yu was sent to the ward. He tells Hong-Jo to go to see Shin-Yu. But she doesn’t want to stay with Shin-Yu’s parents. She thinks it was her mistake that Shin-Yu got stabbed.
Jae-Gyeong reminds Hong-Jo that it’s Jung-Beom’s mistake. But she thinks Shin-Yu was hurt because she put the curse on him. She tears up. She thinks she should leave Shin-Yu. Jae-Gyeong tells her not to feel guilty because it wasn’t her mistake.
Jae-Gyeong wonders if there’s a place where Hong-Jo can stay. He wants to accompany her. But she worries that he will be hurt as well. He comforts her that he will take care of himself. He tells her to leave with him. But she wants to go home.
Eun-Young has a meeting with the people. She leaks that the surgery of Shin-Yu went well. She tells them to be careful. Because the cops still don’t catch Jung-Beom. Hak-Young scolds Na-Yeon for working with Jung-Beom. She talks back that she didn’t know Jung-Beom is a crazy man.
Hak-Beom thinks his daughter planned the stabbing. Because he thinks she was jealous of Hong-Jo. Na-Yeon denies it. She mentions what she told her father that she still has feelings for Shin-Yu. Yoon-Joo cries when she takes care of Shin-Yu.
Se-Heon tells his wife to go to eat something. But Yoon-Joo rejects it. She wants to wait until her son wakes up. She wonders how did it happen. Se-Heon mentions Hong-Jo hasn’t visit Shin-Yu after she left the operating room. Yoon-Joo thinks Hong-Jo passed out.
Hong-Jo is going to leave home. Jae-Gyeong reminds her that he can protect her when she’s at home. But she points out that she will be fine because she has the smartwatch. He mentions Shin-Yu. He thinks she can stay with Shin-Yu. But she worries that Jung-Beom will come if she stays with Shin-Yu.
Hong-Jo thinks it will be good if she leaves Shin-Yu. Jae-Gyeong reminds her that something will happen to her when she’s alone. He tells her to care for herself. But she tells him that she puts Shin-Yu first. She asks him to report what Shin-Yu does to her. But he asks her to let him accompany her.
Shin-Yu wakes up. He asks his parents about Hong-Jo. Se-Heon reveals Hong-Jo hasn’t showed up after she left the operating room. Shin-Yu asks his father for his phone. But Se-Heon refuses to give the phone to Shin-Yu. He reveals he heard he got stabbed because of the girl.
Shin-Yu tells his father that it wasn’t Hong-Jo’s mistake. Se-Heon points out that Shin-Yu wouldn’t be hurt if he didn’t protect Hong-Jo. Hong-Jo stays at the house alone. She gets a message from Shin-Yu. He asks her to come to her because he missed her.
The madam joins Hong-Jo. She thinks she should eat something. She intends to cook noodles for her. Hong-Jo thinks the madam shouldn’t keep her because she worries that she will bring trouble to her. The madam points out that Hong-Jo’s mother is her best friend. She tells Hong-Jo that she has treated her as her real daughter.
The madam swears to fight with the stalker when he comes. She laughs when she looks at Hong-Jo. She tells her to go to rest. She goes to cook noodles for her. Shin-Yu walks out of his room. He tells his father that he wants to go to the city hall.
Se-Heon is surprised that his son didn’t resign. Shin-Yu explains to Se-Heon that there’re some work he needs to do. Yoon-Joo volunteers to drive Shin-Yu to the city hall. Shin-Yu tries to leave. But Se-Heon stops him. He tells him that he arranged a bodyguard for him.

Jae-Gyeong is on the rooftop. He leaves a message to Hong-Jo. He tells her that he worries about her. Shin-Yu shows up behind Jae-Gyeong. He asks him to tell him about Hong-Jo’s whereabouts. But Jae-Gyeong refuses to leak it. He tries to leave the rooftop. But Shin-Yu stops Jae-Gyeong. He begs him to tell it to him. He confesses to him that he knows Hong-Jo avoided him for not letting him be hurt.
