Ji Man asks Ning Yuxuan to go to Star Restaurant with her after three days. But he rejects it. She mentions what he told her to regain her memories. He tells her that he doesn’t wish her to regain her memories. Because he thinks the bossy Nie Sangyu will come back.
Ning Yuxuan thinks it’s good that Nie Sangyu is silly. Ji Man is furious to tell Ning Yuxuan that she doesn’t end her talk. She asks him if he will go to Star Restaurant. He denies it. Ning Yuxuan walks out of the official station. Gui Bai reports to Ning Yuxuan that the guy passed away in the jail. Ning Yuxuan tells Gui Bai to go to look for Yuan Lang.

Ji Man calls Ning Yuxuan. She apologizes to him. She tries to hand over the porridge to him. But he rejects it. She cries to tell him that she spent one night to cook the porridge. He reminds her that he never drank the stuff she cooked.
Ji Man tells Ning Yuxuan that she wishes him to go to Star Restaurant because there’s a girl who’s sick after she fell for him. He laughs to tell Ji Man to get lost. He tells Gui Bai that he doesn’t wish to see Nie Sangyu. Ji Man returns home with Mu Xu.
Mu Xu thinks the porridge is delicious after she drank it. Ji Man promises to cook the porridge for Mu Xu. She thinks Ning Yuxuan is a unlucky guy. She asks Mu Xu about Ning Yuxuan’s hobbies. Mu Xu tells Ji Man that Ning Yuxuan doesn’t have any hobby except killing bandits.
Ji Man asks Mu Xu if Ning Yuxuan cares for something. Mu Xu thinks Ning Yuxuan cares for Gui Bai. She mentions the two always stay together. Ji Man thinks Ning Yuxuan will go to Star Restaurant if they kidnap Gui Bai. Mu Xu points out that Gui Bai won’t let Ji Man kidnap him because he’s a powerful man.
Mu Xu leaks that Ning Yuxuan likes the horse Emperor gave him. Ji Man leaves a note to Ning Yuxuan. She tells him that she will kill the horse if he doesn’t come to Star Restaurant. He tells Bai Bai that Nie Sangyu cannot threaten him with the horse. He wonders why Nie Sangyu wishes him to go to Star Restaurant. He tells Gui Bai to go to Star Restaurant with the archers. Gui Bai thinks it’s too much to deal with Nie Sangyu.
Ji Man pours herself a drink. She thinks the place is very good. Mu Xu wonders why Ji Man is furious that Ning Yuxuan will come. She mentions they took away Ning Yuxuan’s horse. Ji Man thinks Ning Yuxuan will get angry after she tangled him many times.
Lady Gao shows up. Ji Man mentions Lady Gao spent money for the meal. She thinks she’s generous. Lady Gao confesses that she has fallen for Ning Yuyuan for a long time. She adds that she just wants to share the meal with Ning Yuxuan.
Ji Man tells Lady Gao to tell Ning Yuxuan that she’s her friend when Ning Yuxuan comes. Ning Yuxuan shows up. Ji Man introduces Lady Gao to Ning Yuxuan. But Lady Gao runs away. The killers surround Ning Yuxuan. Yuan Lang confesses to Ji Man that he was the one who bought Ning Yuxuan the meal.
Ji Man tells Ning Yuxuan that she doesn’t know Yuan Lang. She adds that she didn’t call the killer. Ning Yuxuan tells Yuan Lang to show his real face. Yuan Lang tells the killers to catch Ning Yuxuan. But the killers are killed by the archers outside.
Ji Man realizes that Ning Yuxuan knew Yuan Lang’s plan. Gui Bai takes the archers to break into the restaurant. Ning Yuxuan tells Gui Bai to catch Yuan Lang. But Yuan Lang kidnaps Ji Man. He tells Ning Yuxuan to let his followers drop their swords.
Ning Yuxuan shoots Ji Man when she asks him to save her. Yuan Lang learns that Ning Yuxuan doesn’t care for his wife’s life. Ning Yuxuan mentions the girl is bossy. He tells Yuan Lang that he will thank him if he kills Ji Man. Ji Man tells Ning Yuxuan not to be kidding.
Ning Yuxuan tells Ji Man that he’s not kidding. He tells Yuan Lang that he won’t let him flee. Yuan Lang sees the jade pendant Ji Man takes. He pushes her away when Ning Yuxuan shoots her. His arm is hurt. He cuts off the arrow and kicks the table to Ning Yuxuan. He flees from the window.
Ning Yuxuan tells the bodyguards to catch Ji Man. He takes the rest bodyguards to go to chase Yuan Lang. Ning Yuxuan arrives at the Red Tower Temple. Gui Bai thinks Yuan Lang hides in the temple. Ning Yuxuan takes Gui Bai to get into the temple.
The bodyguard reports to Ning Yuxuan that they searched all of the places except the library. Ning Yuxuan tries to get into the library. But the abbot Liao Ran stops Ning Yuxuan. Liao Ran tells Ning Yuxuan that nobody can get into the library except the students of the temple.
Ning Yuxuan mentions the bandits sneaked into the library. He tells Liao Ran to give him the pass. But Liao Ran stops Ning Yuxuan. He leaks that he didn’t see any bandit. He tells him to go to other places to look for the bandits.
Ning Yuxuan agrees to it. But he lets Gui Bai break into the library. Tao Siwei stops Ning Yuxuan when he shows up with the bodyguards. Ning Yuxuan is surprised that Tao Siwei took so many bodyguards. Tao Siwei tells Ning Yuxuan that he will be killed if he breaks into the library because the temple is a royal temple. Ning Yuxuan leaves with Tao Siwei.
Yuan Lang remembers he showed the moon jade pendant to his father. He told him that he wants to give the jade pendant to his lover. Liao Ran shows up. He tells Yuan Lang that the bodyguards left. He tells him to leave with the carriage.
Yuan Lang tries to call Liao Ran uncle. But Liao Ran stops Yuan Lang. He tells him to let the case go because he thinks there’s doubt in the case. But Yuan Lang disagrees to what Liao Ran said. He wonders why Ning Yuxuan wants to kill them.
Liao Ran mentions Yuan Lang’s father passed away with Ning Zhongtian. He thinks Yuan Lang shouldn’t take revenge for Ning Zhongtian’s son. He thinks the revenge won’t end. He tells him to have his life. Yuan Lang tells Liao Ran that his goal hasn’t been revenge in the past 18 years.
Yuan Lang mentions Ning Yuxuan wants to kill the brothers of Tea Gang. Liao Ran thinks Yuan Lang is like his father. Ning Yuxuan asks Ji Man when she worked with Yuan Lang. She mentions what she told him that she doesn’t know the guy.
Ji Man apologizes to Ning Yuxuan for dragging him into the danger. She mentions he didn’t care for her life in the important moment. He mentions she appeared at the wedding with Yuan Lang to attack him. He asks her why Yuan Lang blocked the arrow for her.
Ji Man tells Ning Yuxuan that she doesn’t know it. He tells the maid to bring the whip to him. He mentions the whip was made by Ji Man. He tells Ji Man that she can avoid the pain if she confesses. She tells him not to ask her about it since he doesn’t believe what she says.
Ning Yuxuan takes over the whip from the maid. He tells Ji Man that he doesn’t scare her. Wen Wan shows up. She tells Ning Yuxuan that she worried about him after she had heard that he was attacked. She tries to explain it for Ji Man. But he tells her to get back to her room.
Ning Yuxuan tells Ji Man that he will give her some time to think about it. He walks away. She cries to tell him that her answer will be same even if he beats her. She wonders why he doesn’t trust her. Gui Bai asks Ning Yuxuan if he actually wants to whip Nie Sangyu.
Ning Yuxuan tells Gui Bai that he won’t use punishment on women. Gui Bai reminds Ning Yuxuan that he actually got angry. Ning Yuxuan tells Gui Bai that he suspected Nie Sangyu because Nie Sangyu had been related to Yuan Lang two times.
Ning Yuxuan thinks it was just coincidence after he tested Nie Sangyu. He adds that he had to come back when Wen Wan appeared. He thinks he can only know the truth when he finds Yuan Lang. He tells Gui Bai to escort Nie Sangyu to Reflection Pavilion.
